It took the whole night and even half of the next day for Kaleb to wake up. When he did, he did so by screaming out loud and jumping straight up before tumbling to the ground in pain. It made Adam hurry to his side, as he had been looking after the mage while the others went on their daily routine.

"Calm down, Kaleb. You are safe now." The warrior soothed down the panicking mage who was clutching his body in a tight ball, trying to protect his vital organs. Kaleb blinked in confusion when he realized that he wasn't getting attacked. The mage looked down at his body, seeing that he had been patched up and was wearing new clothes made of fur.

The man glanced up at Adam and tilted his head to the side at the hulk of a man before him, the intimidating man covered in muscles, tattoos and scars looking down at him with cold blue eyes. The mage's mind blanked out as he tried to remember ever meeting this hot daddy, but he couldn't come up with any memories about their meeting. That is, until another man much more imposing entered the tent.

"Oh." Evan simply said as he saw Kaleb on his knees before Adam, the mage looking at them in confusion before his face suddenly broke up in a smile.

"Adam and Evan!? Is this you, guys!? What a strange coincidence... On a side note, are you both perhaps interested in a threesome?" The mage exclaimed before taking on a cheeky tone as he looked them up and down with hungry eyes. Adam sighed in despair as he rubbed his hand over his face, remembering that the man had been that lustful too when they first met. Evan growled and took long strides toward his lover, holding onto him in a dead grip as he glared at the mage.

"Ok, Mister Dog, I get it, it's yours." Kaleb quickly scrambled to his feet as he waved his hands before him in an attempt at calming down the enraged beast before him. He had forgotten that Evan's possessiveness was strong, but it seemed like it had gotten on another level since they last parted ways.

Kaleb winced as he sat back down on the couch where he had been resting, Adam not moving a single finger to help him as he could still feel his lover sulking behind him. It was best not to poke the beast.

"I take it as you found me and healed me? I deeply thank you both for saving my life, I don't know how I will ever be able to compensate for this debt. Feel free to voice out any request you may have." Kaleb sincerely said as he bowed down. The mage would normally have wanted to ask the two men to help him in his quest, as they were strong enough to maybe win, but now, he was indebted to them and didn't dare to.

"You are welcome, Kaleb. We also had a debt toward you for giving us the slave tattoo removal powder." Adam answered, but Kaleb could see him hesitate toward the end of his sentence, as if remembering something, but hesitating to say.

"Whaaatttt? My life only amounts to a slave tattoo? I'm kind of insulted! Give me another request and only then will I feel less insulted." Kaleb nudged, truly wanting to help the couple before him, but also knowing that those types of men didn't like asking for help unless directly told to.

"Well... You see, we met a child slave a few years ago, and he has been with us since then. We want to get rid of his slave tattoo too, if possible." Adam explained once he understood the mage's intentions. He wouldn't normally use someone's weakness to request something, but Ash was more important, and the child had also played a big role in healing up the mage.

"Oh, no problem! Here's the powder!" The mage said as a black hole appeared before him. The two lovers froze at the sight and nearly choked on air as Kaleb stuck his hand inside the space and took out a bottle full of pink sparkly powder. The baby faced man handed them the bottle and grinned as Adam took it with shaky hands.

His space always had that effect on people who see it for the first time.

"Well, erm, thank you." The warrior replied as he held the bottle preciously. He was glad that the snake would be officially considered a free man now. Kaleb groaned as he laid back down on the couch, rubbing his sore muscles. Adam came back to his senses at the sound and took on a stern expression.

"Kaleb, can you tell us what happened? Is it related to the trip you had to make when we first met?" The warrior asked seriously, hoping that the mage would tell them. For one, the warrior had a good impression of Kaleb and knew he was a good person. Only bad people would hurt someone like him. Second, it happened near their village and could potentially be risky for them too.

"Ah, you remember? Wow, you have a good memory." Kaleb exclaimed before wincing as his wide expressions tug on his facial wounds. The mage looked as if he was debating what to tell them and where to start, before opening his mouth again.

"You are right, it is related to that. I don't know if you have encountered them, but there are crazy monsters going around looking as if they had rabbits and acting strange. A few years ago, before we met, I encountered one when I was traveling for herbs. I noticed that someone had injected an unknown substance in its neck and it was probably what made it like that. I was curious, but also found the situation too grave to ignore, so I did some research. I learnt that another country had a similar case a few decades ago, so I went there to have an answer, which was the trip you talked about." Kaleb explained before taking a few sips of water from a glass that Adam handed him when he heard his scratchy voice.

"We did discover this phenomenon. We had suspicions about the crazy Duke of the North's responsibilities in this matter, but knew we weren't strong enough to infiltrate his dukedom and confront him. We actually came here to train to get stronger to do so. Did you learn something? Is he related to this?" Adam shared their past experiences as he let Kaleb recover his voice. The mage hummed, surprised that they had found out this much.

"Actually, yes. This phenomenon is caused by a concoction of herb, that if injected, makes anyone crazy. In that country, it was caused by an evil noble who wanted to kill his subjects, but a brave apothecary found a remedy. The noble was executed, and his belongings were auctioned off. Unlikely for us, the recipe for the concoction was in the items auctioned off and Duke Valyois of the North won it in a bundle with other items. Once learning this, I went back home and started to investigate the Duke. It was going well for a while, I learnt that the Duke was making experiments in his dungeons, on humans and monsters, and was looking for someone with ice mana to keep his test subjects preserved for longer. But then, I learnt something I shouldn't have and got chased by assassins and you found me after they tried to kill me slowly." The mage continued his story, shivering as memories of the horrors he had seen in his investigation came back to mind.

"What did you learn?" Adam asked with clenched fists, completely appalled by the fact that the Duke was making experiments on monsters and humans. It was horrific.

"I learnt that the Duke was sponsored by the royal family and many other high ranking nobles, among them is your family. They have this weird plan to use the crazy monsters and humans to eradicate the peasants and those of 'impure' blood as they call it, leaving only the nobles who have artifacts strong enough to protect them. Even the adventurers hired by the noble family aren't spared, many went missing in the call of their duty." Kaleb shuddered as he explained, finding the idea ridiculous. The nobles had let the power get to their head and had gone crazy.

Adam and Evan exchanged a worried glance. This news didn't bode well for the future of their kingdom.
