After a somewhat long makeout session that ended with another reminder from Adam's angry stomach, the couple headed out of their chamber and into the kids' one. Blaze was already hopping around, swinging a nervous snake in his hands as he sang about chubby noodles.

When they entered the room, Ash locked into them, looking desperate as he silently pleaded with his eyes for them to deliver him from his suffering.

"Blaze, put your brother down before he passes out, please." Adam said as he saw stars start to rotate in the dizzy snake's eyes while he was swung around. Blaze stopped abruptly, looking down at the quiet noodle in his hands before glancing back at Adam with wide eyes, mouth open in disbelief as if not knowing the snake was his brother.

"Ash is the snakey!?" Blaze blurted out, looking as if thunder had struck him. Adam nodded, facepalming as he realized that his son had been oblivious to his brother's shift. It meant that Blaze woke up, saw a cute silver snake in his bed, otherwise empty, and thought that a random snake just appeared there for no reason, and proceeded to swing him around while singing, not thinking of the missing Ash at all.

It must have been a rough wake up call for Ash.

"Whhaaaattttt!? Ash, you should have told me! You look sooooo cool!" Blaze shouted, making the snake wince at the loud noise. Ash, Adam and Evan all rolled their eyes at the comment, thinking that Blaze was maybe missing a few brain cells. The fox put the snake back down on his nest, watching with amazement as the shifter slithered toward Evan, hissing softly as he stopped at the bed's edge.

"Do you want me to carry you?" Evan asked Ash his consent, fearing that he had misunderstood his gesture. The snake nodded his small head, looking with shiny eyes full of expectations at his Papa. The giant gently took hold of the snake, awkwardly turning the noodle around like a novice before setting him down into the palm of one of his hands.

It wasn't everyday that he had to carry a snake.

Ash rolled up his scaly body into a ball before lifting his head up, surveying his surroundings with great interest.

He had never been so up high in his snake form, it was interesting.

It was also a much better way of being carried than Blaze's swinging around. He had gotten pretty dizzy and if his stomach had not been so empty, he would have probably barfed everywhere as he was shaken up in the air. It wouldn't have been a pretty sight.

Blaze jumped around Evan, trying to catch glimpses of the elevated snake but the giant kept the shifter out of reach of his brother's wandering hands by raising his arm. The fox pouted, crossing his arms at being denied access to his noodle brother.

Adam chuckled and shook his head at the weird family gathering.

"Let's get something to eat, I think all of us are starving." Adam announced before heading for the door, Ash hissing in agreement and Evan following after his lover. Blaze's smile returned as he heard about food, his full stomach already empty after sleeping it off.

The four of them went out of the tent and saw Rick waiting beside it, crouching down and drawing circles into the sand with a tree branch.

Adam raised an eyebrow at the sight, thinking that they were going from surprises to surprises.

"You are finally out! I was ordered by the tribe's leader to immediately bring you to her for dinner once you guys woke up. I have been waiting for hours now..." The scout whined like a child, but by his playful undertone, they could all tell that he was just joking and wasn't mad at them.

"That's great, we were just going to eat." Adam answered, patting Ash on his cute little head. He couldn't resist it anymore, his son's shifted form was just too cute to keep his paws away. Blaze stomped his feet angrily, puffing his cheeks out as he looked jealously at the gesture.

He, too, wanted to pet the noodle!

Ash let out his forked tongue as he rubbed his head against Adam's hand like a cat asking for scratches. The warrior gently stroked him all the way from the top to the bottom, making the snake let out happy hissing sounds.

Rick watched tearfully from the side, thinking that he, too, wanted to pet Ash!

Evan, the one lucky enough to hold the scaly snake in his hand, smugly raised his head and nodded for the scout to lead the way as Adam continued to pet Ash. Rick did as told, glancing back with regret at the snake one last time before starting to walk with his back hunched.

Ash, unaware of all the jealous stares, continued to look around with great interest.

The villagers they met on the way to Athena's tent waved at them as they passed by, saying congratulations and giving them thumbs up.

Blaze preened under the attention, Evan ignored it, Adam scratched his cheek awkwardly and Ash shyly burrowed his head under his rolled up body. They may have had different reactions to the villagers' cheers, but all in all, they felt a warm feeling in their heart at being treated in such a good way. They were happy that they had all passed the trial and would be able to live in the village until they were ready to fight their foes.

Athena welcomed them into her tent, guiding them to the table where plates and bowls full of food were waiting for them.

"First, I wanted to say congratulations to all of you for succeeding, I never doubted it. You will get your passing tattoo this afternoon. Adam's will be all over his back in intricates lines to represent the wind ability of the five lizardmen you fought. While the tattoo would normally be of medium size, you surpassed the challenge, defeating not three, but five opponents. Thus, you deserve a big tattoo to show your tenacity." Athena explained as she put food in the kids' plates while talking, Blaze beaming at more food and Ash timidly thanking her. The snake had suddenly shifted into his human form when Evan had put him down before the table.

"For Evan, yours will be on your chest, going from one shoulder to the other, in the form of a necklace made of claws and fangs. The lines will be as big as your hunt was. Blaze, you will get a sort of sun on your shoulder, the sun's flames looking like a fox's tails and of the same number as the foes you defeated. Ash, you will also get a tattoo on your shoulder, but one of lines resembling herbs and flowers and symbols of healing. For the children, we use shorter water porcupine's spikes and only do the shoulder, so as to minimize the pain. The adults get longer spikes to make the tattoos more vibrant and precise." The elder finished talking and started eating. The little family of four all nodded as they stuffed their mouths.

They weren't scared of pain. They had all, after all, been abused once in their life and had gotten accustomed to pain. Like they thought, when they got the tattoos in the afternoon, they barely felt anything. Blaze and Ash felt nothing, distracted by adults telling them stories of adventure while the artist worked, and even got candies after it was done.

The villager responsible for Adam felt outraged by the whip scars on his back, and made sure to cover all the scars with the lines on purpose. Once finished, you couldn't even tell that there had been scars if one did not touch the bumpy skin. It made his back look sexy as hell and Evan even whispered in his ear that night that he wanted to do it doggy style all night to be able to admire his back.

Adam felt happy with the result.

What he was not happy with, however, was the fact that Evan had had to shave his chest for the artist to do the tattoo. He had looked with eyes full of regrets at the small curly hairs falling to the ground as the giant shaved.

"Stop pouting, Pup. It will grow again." Evan had said, amused by the heartbroken look on his lover's face. He had known that the warrior loved to snuggle into his hairy chest, but he didn't think it was to this extent.

The hairs did, in fact, grow again a few months after, and Adam happily spent the night with his whole face in it, sighing contentedly as his insides were rearranged by Evan's cock.

They were officially part of the Aleksy's tribe now.
