After Evan came back with a porridge, Adam made sure to wake up Kaleb and make him eat at least half of it, before the mage nearly threw up and fell back asleep. Only then did the two lovers decide to let him sleep more and headed out.

They asked the inn owner to check on their friend each hour, and to wake him up each three hours to make him eat. The old lady was more than happy to take on the caregiver role, saying that her children were all grown up and didn't need her anymore, which made her sad. Now, assigned with a new mission, she felt invigorated.

Adam and Evan ate at the inn, feeling too hungry to walk around on an empty stomach after skipping dinner last night and engaging in vigorous activities all night. After finishing their meal, with Adam secretly twisting his body left and right due to the discomfort caused by his red bum on the wood chair, they headed for Dalia's mansion. They had asked Kaleb for the gift before going to bed last night and had planned to give it to her today.

As they had slept a good majority of the morning, it was already near noon.

When they reached the mansion, which they had some difficulty finding as they were more used to wandering in the woods than in the city, the two guards at the door let them in. A butler came to take them to Dalia's waiting room. They found themselves in the same room as last time, but with one less person.

It made Adam frown as they waited, the image of the bouncing mage asking for a kinky rope intertwined with that of a sick Kaleb laying in bed. It only made the contrast more striking.

"Don't worry about him. He's not dying, he just needs to rest." Evan, sensing his lover's distress, offered some support. However, even he felt like he was mostly trying to convince himself.

"Why? Why did he act so happy and cheerful when we arrived? Couldn't he have said something?" Adam muttered, knowing it wasn't right, but still feeling angry toward the mage for not taking better care of himself. Still, Evan didn't even need to answer. They both knew that mage just wasn't used to having people worry about him, and didn't want to bother them with his problems. Knowing his personality, he probably felt like they already had enough on their plate with the revolution and that he shouldn't put even more on their shoulders by speaking about his health.

Before they could talk more about Kaleb, they heard a knock coming from the door. Dalia entered shortly after, dressed in a beautiful siren dress with a shawl made with pearls on her shoulders.

"Well, good morning to you two love birds. Nadia told me Kaleb is sick, it sure is worrying, quite the charming pet he is. I sent a doctor to watch over him with Nadia so you can spend the day worry free. Can I help you with something else?" The giant said as she sat before them, graciously crossing one leg over the other. Adam and Evan thanked her both, glad that a doctor would watch Kaleb.

"Erm, we didn't come here so you could help us. My grandmother sent a gift for her in-laws, and we think you are the closest that can be as the giants' chief. Would you like to accept it?" Adam asked, slightly embarrassed as he revealed the wooden box he had hidden under the couch behind his feet.

"Oh! It wasn't necessary, but I would be more than glad to accept it as a representative of the village. Do tell her we say thank you. I will also send a gift back, we, the giants, always reciprocate what we receive. Ben will take it with him when he leaves. Shall I open it now or in private? I'm not sure how to handle a gift as we rarely give or receive any." Dalia said as she took the box offered to her.

"Oh, no worries! I will tell her, as for the gift, you can open it now if you want." Adam scratched his cheek, also not used to giving gifts, even less when it is from someone else. Dalia agreed, saying she was too curious, and opened the box, revealing plenty of small glass pots. Seeing her puzzled look, Adam took it on himself to explain what it was.

"My grandmother loves tea and spices. The pots with green labels are for tea, the instructions are written on it. The ones with orange labels are spices with ideas of recipes to try with them. As you are in a nordic region, you must not have that much diversity of herbs, so she hoped you would enjoy trying new flavors." Adam explained as Dalia took a few pots, turning it to peek inside the glass, and taking the labels in hands when Adam talked about them, reading a few diligently.

"Well, that is certainly a wonderful gift! I have never tried tea and exotic spices! I do love trying new flavors, I will make sure to enjoy it with Ben too as he is also the adventurous type. Thank you!" The giant exclaimed as a beautiful smile painted her features. Seeing as it was a truly happy one, and not a fake one, Adam and Evan relaxed their tense shoulders.

"You also asked us to come before leaving, did you want to talk about something in private?" Adam asked, remembering the words that Dalia had spoken the last time they met. He wondered if she had meant in the morning of the day they would leave, but he felt like it would be too stressful for them to be so last minute.

"Oh! About that, I just wanted to exchange with you both about what is going on outside, what news you may have for me. As you probably saw, we are pretty much isolated from the outside world. I can pay you for the information if you want, I do not expect a free gift." Dalia said as she crossed her legs in another way. Adam looked with fascination at the gesture, not understanding how such a giant lady could act so refined and with grace. The warrior felt a pinch on his thigh and looked to his side, finding Evan glaring at him. Adam gulped, fearing that he had made his bear jealous. A jealous Evan was a cute one, but also a very dangerous one for his behind.

"W-well, we will tell you what Kaleb told us. We have been living in a nomadic tribe for years now, so we are also outdated with the news. No need to pay us, you have already proven yourself to be quite generous." Adam quickly changed the subject to distract Evan, hoping that his ass would still be safe tonight, while also secretly crossing his fingers that he would get a good spanking like he liked them.

The two men spent a few hours with Dalia after that, exchanging the news with her, while also listening to her insight on various subjects.

Hey dear readers, let's all pray for Adam's butt...
