"No! Don't leave! We'll help you!" One man shouted, followed by a chorus of 'Yes!' and 'Don't leave!' from the other giants. The herd of men and women slowly opened from the inside to reveal a path toward the open door and they held their arms toward it, as if inviting them.

"Let's talk inside, it will be warmer. Your friends look as if they are about to freeze to death." The lady who smacked the bearded man said with a grin, amused to see such puny humans. It wasn't often that they had human visitors. Evan nodded and took a step forward before frowning. The giants all tensed, fearing that their new found child would run away.

"Boyfriend, not friend." The ex slave said as he held Adam possessively to his chest. The warrior blushed slightly as all the eyes focused on him, before puffing out his chest. He had nothing to be ashamed of, he was proud of being by Evan's side.

The half giant looked at his hedgehog's puffed out spikes with fond eyes.

"Oh, sorry! Well, your friend and boyfriend look about to pass out, so let's hurry." The lady said after scanning Adam up and down and giving a nod of approval. The others also seemed to find Adam worthy of Evan before shooing them inside the walls. The trio hurried inside, and a giant had to carry Kaleb inside as his legs gave out after a few steps, while Adam was supported by Evan.

Once they were inside the walls and the doors had closed, the cold wind couldn't reach them anymore. It was much better for the humans. The lady and the bearded man guided them toward a large mansion made of stones, while the rest of the herd followed after them like lost ducklings.

"Ok everyone, we will let them speak with Dalia, let them breathe a little." The lady said as she glared at the group of giants who had been towering above the trio. They were at least two if not three heads taller than Evan, and Evan was already one head taller than Adam. Towering above them was an understatement.

The three men heard mumbles of protest coming from around them, but the giants still stepped back with regret.

"You too, Arnold." The lady pointed at the bearded man before pointing at an empty corner. Dejectedly, the giant walked there while dragging his feet. Adam felt Evan's hold tighten on him as he heard the name, but his otherwise cold features didn't reveal any of his thoughts. The warrior guessed that the giant must have been one of those who helped his lover as he didn't feel any ill intent from his partner. Taking into account the giant's reaction to seeing Evan, he must have also been left with plenty of guilt.

"Now that we have more room to breathe, let me explain. Humm, Evan, do you remember Alizé?" The lady started before asking the half bred, scratching her cheek as if not knowing how to make everything clear if he didn't. Seeing Evan nod, the giant sighed out in relief.

"Okay, well, that will make things simpler. Alizé took over your father's place while you were gone. Oh, and we killed the bitch who sold you as soon as she came back, but you were already long gone and we couldn't find you. We are sorry about that." The lady bowed at her last words, looking truly apologetic, and every giant around them also bowed down saying they were sorry. Evan nodded at them and waved nonchalantly, but Adam felt the grip tighten on him and knew that his lover wasn't as unaffected as he let it seem. The lady started talking again, and the warrior braced himself for a long discussion because he could already guess that she was the type to jump from one subject to another while talking, and getting distracted.

"Anyways, you know we are more action giants than words giants, so we will try our best to ask for your redemption with our actions. So, Alizé died a few years ago from old age, Dalia is her daughter. She took over once her mother died and is now the chef. You never met her as she was born a few years after you went missing. She knows about you, and actively took part in sending search parties around the mountains like her mother had been doing in hope of maybe one day encountering you by chance. You will meet with her to talk about your favor as we can't act without her consent. I'm warning you, she has... peculiar tastes, but she's a good person." The lady finished in one breath, looking like she was going to explode from trying to tell only the important information and not yap about unnecessary stuff.

Adam nearly patted her on the back once she was done, but held back as he didn't want to provoke his possessive bear.

Evan nodded to show his understanding and the lady stepped aside to open the door, revealing a rather cozy inside. The trio stepped inside, Kaleb still held by a giant and the said giant took the lead to bring them before a room with red doors.

The two guards on each side of the doors glanced down at the three puny humans before opening the doors, judging them not much of a threat. Adam understood why, but it still irked him nonetheless.

They stepped inside and were greeted by a rather... peculiar sight, just like the lady had said. Dalia, they guessed, was a beautiful giant with gentle blue eyes and shining blond hair. She wore leather all over, which was kind of weird in this weather, but that could always pass. What really flabbergasted the trio was the man half-naked bound with red ropes on his knees at her feet, his head on her tight and looking peacefully asleep as she stroked his hair.

Evan and Adam froze, wondering if it was a good moment or if it was better to come back later. However, the giant holding Kaleb acted as if nothing was wrong and brought the mage toward the cushion before Dalia, setting him down, bowing and then leaving the room. The doors closed behind him and the sound woke up the still frozen men.

"Erm, hi." Adam whispered to Dalia before glancing at the bound man and hoping not to have woken him up. He jumped from fear when he met the stunning grey eyes of the man, now looking at him with a smile.

"S-sorry!" The warrior apologised, crossing his fingers that he didn't start this meeting on a bad foot just because he woke up the chef's lover. Evan patted him on his head, silently telling him not to worry.

"Ah, don't worry, Ben wasn't asleep. Pay no need to him, it's his reward time, he doesn't mind you being here. I'm Dalia, Alizé's daughter, but I think Nathalia must have explained everything, right, Evan?" The stunning giant said as she waved off their worries with her free hand, still petting Ben's hair with her other one. The giant, Ben, closed his eyes again and looked much content to just sit there at her feet.

Evan and Adam took a seat beside Kaleb as she gestured to them, trying not to stare at the man. They too, had weird kinks, but they had never met anyone who showed them in the open in such a nonchalant way. They didn't judge the couple in the slightest, but they knew that they were much too shy and possessive of each other to do the same.

"Hum, before we start, can I ask something?" Kaleb said with shining eyes, making Adam's worries grow tenfold. Kaleb getting excited was never a good sign from what he knew. Dalia nodded at him curiously, her eyes scanning the shadows curling around him with wonder.

"Where did you get this rope? It's so beautiful and doesn't look uncomfortable to wear at all!" The dark mage asked and Adam had to hold himself back from facepalming. Evan didn't hold back though.

"Oh, it was made by one of the villagers, Jim. You can ask him for one if you would like, I will cover the cost as you are our esteemed guest." Dalia answered with a smile, looking at the mage jumping with excitement on his seat with amused eyes. Kaleb shouted a 'thank you' before gesturing for Evan to speak as he was done with his request.

It was time to get down to business.

Hey dear readers, I swear Kaleb has a mind of his own, I can't control what he says XD

Do you think the giants will help? And if yes, how?
