"This is Matt, Ben sent him to take care of me, saying that knowing me, having a handsome man taking care of my needs would make me feel better faster. He was right, he knows me well. Anyways, did you already have the weddings, and if so, why was I not invited? As your closest friend, I'm insulted." Kaleb pouted, being interrupted in the middle of his speech by a spoon full of porridge sent into his talking mouth, before resuming his rant after gulping down the horrid liquid.
"Those are the wedding rings, yes. However, the wedding ceremony is tonight. We are doing things out of order, but when were we the types to follow the conventions? Anyways, you are invited, with Matt if you want." Adam answered Kaleb, holding back a chuckle when he saw the disgusted face Kaleb made when eating the porridge.
"Awesome! Matt will need to carry me as I still don't feel my legs anyways. Oh, I have just the perfect clothes for this-" The dark mage said, making his black hole appear before him and rummaging inside before taking out a bag, only for his eyes to roll back and his body to go limp.
Adam and Evan facepalmed, while Matt panicked, checking the mage all over and making sure that he had only fainted from exhaustion.
"Why does this not surprise me...I should have seen this coming." Adam mumbled as he passed his hand over his face at Kaleb's birdbrain. The mage was sick from his overuse of magic, but decided that using magic was a good idea. It must be too instinctive for him, which was dangerous. The warrior truly hoped that Kaleb would find a man that would ground him.
"Argh, that was a bad move, sorry." Kaleb grunted as he came back to himself, looking dazingly at the men surrounding him. The mage suddenly hiccuped, and blood started pouring down his nose, making everyone panic.
"No worries, it's just a bad idea to surround me with so many handsome men when I'm waking up. Can I have a paper, please?" Adam sighed at the puppy's answer, handing him a tissue to keep the blood from staining his clothes. Kaleb's weirdness never failed to surprise him.
"Anyways, I have to get ready, so shoo shoo!" Kaleb said as he waved them away. Adam rolled his eyes before heading out with Evan. The couple returned downstairs, ready to eat now that they had checked on their friend. They ordered lunch and ate in silence, both in their own thoughts.
The rest of the day was calm, Adam and Evan going for a haircut and slowly getting ready for the wedding.
They did have to hold themselves back a lot when they saw each other after trying the wedding clothes on for the first time, but they decided to wait for after the wedding to strip their other half naked.
As Evan had said, the wedding was a small ceremony. Kaleb was carried everywhere by Matt, and Adam could have sworn that the mage was doing it on purpose just to be able to feel the man's strong muscles for longer.
Dalia and Ben congratulated them profusely, and gave them a few gifts, even though they weren't accustomed to giving some. Adam and Evan appreciated the thought, and chose to open them in private after Ben had somewhat let it slip that there were a few things to spice up their nights. Kaleb would probably have been overjoyed to discover new ways to enjoy himself, but they wanted to avoid the mage getting too excited and having a nosebleed again.
The ceremony proceeded smoothly and they exchanged their vows before the priest, sealing their marriage.
Once everyone was stuffed with wedding cake and pastries, they each went their own way, ready to head to bed early as tomorrow would be a big day.
The only ones who didn't go to sleep as soon as their head hit their pillow were Adam and Evan, who made good use of their new gifts all night, making sure to avoid disturbing Kaleb's sleep with their screams.
The next morning, both Evan and Adam woke up sore, really not looking forward to getting up.
As soon as they exited their room after getting ready and gathering all their things, they met a bouncy Kaleb. The mage looked much better, his dark circles having returned to their racoon shape instead of their panda one, and some of his baby fat having come back.
"Good morning!" Kaleb chittered when he saw them, moving swiftly to stand next to them as they headed downstairs.
"Good morning, Kaleb. You look much better." Adam answered with a smile, glad that his friend had rested enough. The mage looked at him with a smirk, and the warrior wondered if it was because he had heard them going down and dirty yesterday night. Had it somewhat given him strength instead of draining him like last time?
"Ohhh, well, I had a wonderful night with Matt." Kaleb said in a sing-song voice, pivoting on his heel to face them, beaming up and showing off his pointy canines. Seeing the look of rejection and awkwardness on his friends' face, Kaleb instantly knew that they had misunderstood him.
"No, no, no! I didn't make him cheat on his partner! I used him as my teddy bear, I like hugging something when I sleep, it soothes me..." The puppy explained dejectedly as his imaginary tail and ears dropped at being so badly misunderstood. What image did his friends have of him to think that he would act as a homewrecker!?
"Oooohhhh, I see! I'm glad to hear that, sorry for misunderstanding you. I will buy you a treat." Adam exclaimed once he heard the mage's explanation, but seeing how the puppy was still acting hurtful and grumbling, he added the last sentence. Kaleb's face immediately perked up at the word treat, and he started bouncing again.
The mage nearly tripped on a giant passing by, making Adam facepalm, before he tried to calm him down and not cause another accident.
