Mia watched as Charlotte fell to the floor. She just couldn't move quickly enough to get to her side. Everything seemed to happen too fast. One second, Charlotte was on her way to bed while Mia took the plates to the kitchen, and the next, she sat on the floor at the bottom of the stairs. Charlotte stayed there on her knees and her head in her hands.

"Sweetheart?" Mia spoke softly as she quickly moved to sit next to her on the floor. Charlotte shook her head, hot tears streaming down her cheeks. "Charlotte, it's me, Mia. Im going to move you closer to the wall to lean against," she told her before helping Charlotte across the floor.

Mia moved to sit in front of Charlotte. "Darling, can you hear me?" Mia asked softly as she took Charlottes' hands in her own. She gently ran her thumb over the brunettes knuckles. "Shall we take some deep breaths?" Mia questioned softly. She could feel Charlottes' hands shaking as she held them. "Breathe in... and breathe out... breathe in... and breathe out." Mia watched Charlotte closely as she talked her through her breaths. "Im so proud of you." Mia whispered calmly as she watched her calm down before gently wiping the tears from Charlottes cheeks.

Once she had calmed her breathing down, Mia pulled her closer to her chest. "Baby, what happened?" Mia questioned softly, but Charlotte didn't answer. She just hid her head into Mias chest. "Okay, sweetheart. You can talk to me later on Baby. Do you want to go to bed and cuddle?" Mia asked quietly, Charlotte nodded slowly. Just then, Mia picked her up bridal style, taking her into their bedroom.

Once they were both tucked up in bed, Mia wrapped her arms around Charlotte gently, holding her close. She allowed herself to feel and be small with Mia. The tears started flowing again as Charlotte silently sobbed into mias chest. The red head could feel her shirt getting wet. "Baby girl, it's okay... I've got you."

"No, no! No, it's not okay. Mia, you could leave me at any minute and find someone better, and you know that! You are wasting your time with me. Im a slut with kids. I can't give you anything!" She shouted at Mia as she climbed out of bed and paced the room. "Charlotte, my darling. Can i give you a hug?" Mia asked softly as she moved and sat on the end of the bed.

Charlotte looked at her as she continued to pace before giving in and walking over to Mia. Mia wrapped her arms around Charlotte and gently sat her onto her lap. "I dont know where you have got all this shit from, but it stops now." Mia told her sternly while holding Charlotte. "The parents.... they were talking... winter stopped them and... and... but... It's all true." Charlotte sobbed. "Okay, sweetheart, it's okay. Im going to give Auts a call beautiful." She hushed while leaning back to get her phone.

As Mia was on the phone, Charlotte nestled her head against Mias chest, clinging onto her shirt tightly. The brunette held her breath as she listened to the conversation.

"Charlotte Victoria, will you breathe now?" Mia asked her. It made her jump to hear Mia full name her. She was feeling sensitive, holding on tighter to her girlfriend. "I... im going to the bathroom." Charlotte whispered before practically running into the other room.

Mia let her go and didn't move till she heard the door lock. The only time they locked the door was when they wanted to be alone. That door was very rarely locked. Mia sighed before getting up and walking off downstairs. She was no help to Charlotte, so she may as well get out of the way.

Mia sat on the couch as she tried to zone out all of Charlottes sobs. The red head sighed before picking up her phone and sending a quick message to Marjorie to inform her that Charlotte wouldn't be in tomorrow and if she wanted more information about it to ask Autumn. Mia sighed and put her phone away and heading back upstairs.

Mia walked towards the bathroom. "Char, let me in." Mia spoke calmly as she listened closely for Charlotte. When she didn't respond Mia sighed before unlocking the door from the outside and letting herself in.

Nothing could prepare Mia for what she had walked in on. Her forever person asleep on the bathroom floor while curled up in a ball. Mia swallowed hard before carefully picking Charlotte up off the floor and carrying her to bed. Once she was tucked in, mia walked round and got in next to her. The red head was careful not to cuddle Charlotte too much even though she wanted nothing more.

Mia took Charlottes hand in her own and watched as her sweetheart slept. "You are safe," she whispered before kissing the top of her head. No matter what Mia tried, she could get to sleep.

Hours had passed since Mia had moved Charlotte into bed and off the floor. Just then, the brunette sat bolt up in bed, breathing heavily. "Charlotte, it's me, Mia. You are safe with me... okay, we are in our house and our bed." She whispered while tracing patterns on her hand. Charlotte looked around quickly before she deflatedly curled herself into a ball.

Mia watched Charlotte closely before wrapping her arms around the younger woman's body. "Come here and put your head on my chest. You dont have to say anything." Mia hushed as she pulled Charlotte closer.

Once Charlottes head reached Mias chest, she clung to her tightly. "Its okay baby girl. I messaged Marjorie, and you aren't going to work tomorrow, so we have the whole day together while Auts kicks that parents ass." Charlotte giggled slightly before yawning.

"You are okay, let's get some proper sleep." Mia whispered as she kissed the top of Charlottes head. "I want real kisses," Charlotte pouted. Mia rolled her eyes and moved slightly, kissing all over Charlottes' face before placing one on her lips. "Thank you." Charlotte giggled slightly at mia. She loved her affectionate side. After a few moments, the couple fell asleep in each others embrace.
