"Mia, please." Charlotte practically begged her forever person as she gripped her hands in her own. "Charlotte, i love you, and you know that, but i need to catch this flight, i really do." Charlottes eyes filled with tears as she held on tighter to Mia. "Dont leave me alone, Mia. i can help you forget, please, mia. I can help you." Charlotte continued rambling on. Mia kissed her cheek gently as the tears fell down her cheeks. "I need to do this for me. I love you, and i will be home soon, but right now, i need to get on this flight."

Mia pulled her hands away from Charlottes grasp before wiping her tears as she did, Charlottes held onto Mias waist tightly. "Charlotte Victoria... i love you, but i need to go now." She whispered before kissing her one last time and moving away from her hold. The brunette admitted defeat and watched as her forever person walked away.

Just as Mia got out of sight, Charlotte gave up and walked away, heading back to her car. She couldn't stand it much longer. The moment she got into her car, she allowed herself to feel everything. The tears were flowing again, and her chest heaved with every sob that left her mouth.

Little did she know that someone was there and she wasn't alone. Suddenly, the passenger door opened. Charlotte was so upset that she didn't hear the door open. "Sweetheart." The voice was soft, making Charlotte jump. She looked up, and her eyes met the eyes of her forever person. "Mia? Your flight?" Was all she could get out between sobs.

Mia climbed into the car before opening her arms. "Shall we get you calm now?" The redhead asked quietly as she watched Charlotte try to climb onto her lap. "Sweetheart, there isn't much room here." She chuckled slightly, but Charlotte completely ignored her.

Once as was comfortably sat on mia's lap, she slapped her arm. "You can't leave me, and then just stay anyway!" She shouted before gripping her arm tightly. "But please stay. Im sorry." Charlotte spoke while cuddling into her girlfriend. Tears dropped onto mias shirt as she held Charlotte closer.

Mia sighed as she fought back her own tears. That flight was her chance of freedom, but now she was stuck. "If i am grumpy or on edge, then i am so sorry." Mia whispered as she held on tightly Charlotte. "Baby, im so sorry," she sobbed into mias chest.

Once the couple had returned home. Mia took herself upstairs to get changed and have a shower. Charlotte knew what she was doing and was ready to look after her girlfriend. Charlotte placed one of her hoodies on the radiator for Mia and had the rest of her clothes on the end of the bed.

Once half an hour had passed, Charlotte knew she was going to have to get Mia from the shower. "Come on baby, let's get you out." Charlotte spoke calmly as she picked up Mias towel before turning off the water. The brunette placed the towel around her shoulders before helping her out of the bathroom and into the bedroom.

"I will help you get dried and dressed, and then we can have cuddles." Charlotte whispered before carefully drying the red head with a towel. "You will have to pull it all up for me." Charlotte whispered after she had put fresh underwear and leggings on Mia.

Charlotte moved away, earning a whimper from Mia. "Sweetheart, i was getting you a hoodie." She whispered before dressing her girlfriend in the warm hoodie. The moment she was dressed, Mia climbed into Charlotte's side of the bed. Charlotte watched as her girlfriend made herself as small as possible.

"Baby, im going to join you," Charlotte spoke softly while climbing into Mias side of the bed. As they settled into their spot, Mia nestled her head against Charlotte's shoulder, feeling the warmth radiating from her. Charlotte smiled, wrapping her arms around her, pulling her closer. "I could stay like this forever," She whispered, her voice soft and content. Mia looked up at Charlotte, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Me too. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Well, not really. I just dont want to be so close to him." She mumbled nervously.

Mia led next to Charlotte, feeling the weight of her emotions pressing down on her like an anchor. She had always secretly been sensitive, experiencing the highs of joy and the lows of despair with intensity. But since he had got his claws into her, it felt as if all her emotions were a storm, swirling around her, relentless and chaotic. She longed for a way to escape, to find a moment of peace away from the turmoil in her heart. For months fleeing, the country had been her way of escaping, but after watching Charlotte break her heart, she knew everything had to change.

"Char, i will be back," Mia mumbled before getting up and taking herself very quickly downstairs and out the front door before running. Just running.
Determined to break free, Mia decided to take a walk through the nearby woods. The trees stood tall and silent, their leaves whispering secrets in the gentle breeze. As she wandered deeper into the forest, she felt the tension in her chest begin to loosen. Each step away from her worries felt like shedding a layer of weight. The vibrant colours of nature distracted her from her inner struggles, and for a brief moment, she found solace in the beauty surrounding her.

But as the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the landscape, Mia realized that running away from her emotions was not the answer. The forest, while calming, could not erase the feelings she was trying to escape. Instead, she understood that facing her emotions head-on was the only way to find true peace. With newfound clarity, she vowed to embrace her feelings, both the light and the dark, knowing that they were part of her journey and growth.

She slowly made her way home, opening the front door to find a pacing Charlotte. "Sorry baby, i just needed a walk, and i think i have realised that i need to be more open and stop running away from everything." Mia whispered calmly as they clung to each other. "Next time you want a walk, just tell me, please. That's all i ask. Please." Charlotte whispered while holding Mia.

They spent the evening sharing stories, laughing, and occasionally drifting into comfortable silence. The world outside faded away, and in that moment, it was just the two of them wrapped in love and warmth. As the rain started to fall, making comfortable background noise, they felt a deep sense of peace, knowing that in each other's arms, they had everything they needed.
