The day had started as it always did. The children being dropped off, parents in and out of the office, staff members signing in, and as always, Marjorie and Mia bickering playfully over random topics.

Mia was mid sentence when she suddenly stopped and excused herself. The redhead quickly leaves the office and practically runs to the staff room. She knew that's where she would find her girlfriend on her break. She pushes open the door and walks straight up to her with pain in her eyes.

"Mia? What's happened?" Charlotte asked quietly as she moved towards her girlfriend. Mia shakes her head before practically throwing herself at Charlotte. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she held on tighter. "Okay, baby. I've got you." Charlotte whispered while running her hand up and down her back. Her whole body shakes as a sob ripples through her. "Oh baby." Charlotte whispered before moving towards the closet seat, sitting down and pulling Mia onto her lap.

It took time, longer than Charlottes break was meant to last, but time wasn't her main focus. Finally, Mia began to calm down, her heart rate slowing down before a yawn left her mouth. "It's okay baby, I've got you. When you are ready,  can you tell me what happened?" Charlotte asked softly while placing gently kisses to mias tear stained cheeks.

Mia held on tighter to Charlotte. "Roger. He's here. In the office. I ran." She mumbled nervously before another wave of tears fell. "I've got you, you are safe. Do you want me to call Aut so you can spend the rest of the day with her?" She questioned, but Mia shook her head quickly. "I need you. I can't run. I have our family. Our girls, i can't go anywhere. " She mumbled nervously, more to herself. "Baby, go to Auts just for today, and then i will pick you up on my way home." Charlotte whispered. Mia sighed before nodding slightly.

Charlotte picks up her phone and calls autumn. Mia listens closely to Charlottes' side of the conversation.  "You father is here.... no, she's not. Aut, can you come and take her home with you, please?... yeah, bring Reece to. He's talking to Marjorie, so im sure she could do with seeing one of you... thank you, bye." Charlotte spoke confidently while moving Mia so she could look at her. "They are coming, sweetie, both of them." Charlotte whispered before gently wiping away stray tears.

It disnt take long for the siblings to arrive at the nursery, dropping the twins into the baby room before going their separate ways. Autumn makes her way into the office to talk to Marjorie.

She pushes open the door slowly, her eyes landing on the other woman, noticing her  distressed state. "I dont want kids. Autumn i can't. I can't be a mum." She spoke while pacing the office, rubbing her arm quickly. "Marjorie, stop! Your pacing will make you more stressed." Autumn told her before standing in front of her, gently holding the top of her arms to keep her still. "I think i need Reece." She whispered, bowing her head as tears began to fall. Autumn sighed as her best friend broke down. "Let's sit you down, and i will go and swap with him. He's up in the staffroom with Mia because she's upset as well. I just didn't want to send him in to you because i know things have been a bit all over the place recently." Autumn whispered quietly while holding her arms and guiding her towards the couch.

As Autumn entered the staff room, her eyes landed on Mia. Reece stood with his hand on her back while she sobbed to Charlotte. "Mia, he has no power over you anymore. You are okay." Reece told her before Autumn cleared her throat, earning everyone's attention. "Big brother, Marjorie needs you in the office. Our father has managed to find a way to upset both of them." She told him before moving towards Mia. "Red, Charlotte's got you, shh. It's okay, im here with you as well." Autumn whispered as she reached up, gently untying her hair from the bun it was in. "There, now relax. When Marjorie has calmed down, we will get you home with me and reece, and that's where we will stay until Char finishes and comes home." Autumn whispers, earning a small nod from the redhead.
