"Baby can we go home soon. I'm so tired. Going out after work isnt what it used to be." Charlotte giggles as she finds Mia at the bar with Autumn. The redhead giggled slightly before turning around. "Oh sweetheart of course we can go home, go and say goodbye to everyone and i will meet you by winter and the twins in a minute."

As the couple come through the front door, the toe off their shoes quietly. Mia had been quiet the whole drive and of course Charlotte noticed. She noticed the way she ever so slightly shook her head as if to shake away any negative thoughts, or the way she shivered now and again.

The redhead turned around and smiled softly at her girlfriend. "Go and get into something and put a movie on, I'm going to have a shower and then i will join you." She told her calmly, to calmly. "Do you want me to join you baby?" Charlotte questioned nervously but Mia shook her head. "I wont be long. Ems was sick on me and i just want to make sure im clean. Aut did her best with baby wipes." Mia lied with a fake smile.

Charlotte nodded slowly. "I will meet you downstairs baby." She whispered as she watched Mia walk away. She wasn't going to ask questions, well just yet. Her lie was good as Mia did spend most of the night with the couple and their babies.

The clock kept ticking, half an hour had passed and Mia still wasn't finished. Charlotte sighed before moving towards the stairs to find her girlfriend.

She stood outside the bathroom door nervously before counting to three and knocking gently. "Baby are you okay? Can i come in?" The brunette asked quietly. There was a moment of silence till Mia's voice called out quietly. "It's unlocked." Charlotte took a deep breath before opening the door and making her way inside.

Charlotte stood quietly as she adjusted to the heat of the room. She then caught sight of the temperature that Mia had the water set to. "Amelia! That water is way to hot. It will burn you." Charlotte spoke with a hint of panic in her tone but Mia shrugged it off. "I like hot showers, its you that has them so cold." She mumbled.

She sighed before picking up Mias towel. "Time to get out now anyway." Charlotte spoke calmly but the redhead couldn't bring herself to move. She stayed frozen under the hot water, shaking her head. "Yes baby. You can shout at me but you are getting out now." She told her in a serious tone before turning off the water. "Stand up and i will wrap you up in your towel then do your hair, like we do to the girls" Charlotte told her but Mia refused.

"Mia, baby please. You can't sit in an empty bath while you are soaking wet. I will pull you up if i have to." Charlotte continued but Mia just put her head in her hands.

"I know that something is bothering you and I also know that you lied to me about your situation with Emery. Im not mad, i just wish you would talk to me about it and then we could have had cuddles. But you have now hurt yourself in a hot shower instead. I will now have to look after your skin that is now bright red instead of going straight for cuddles." Charlotte told her straight.

Mia sighed before taking hold of her towel and standing up before wrapping it around herself tightly. By this point, a stream of fresh tears raced down her cheeks. "I know im a burden to you. I'm sorry." She whispered before moving past her and into their bedroom. "Sweet you arent a burden,  i just want you to realise that this isnt the way to deal with everything." Charlotte whispered before wrapping her arms around Mia holding her close.

After a lot of convincing, Charlotte finally got Mia into bed. The brunette carefully put her arm around mia, normally Mia would snuggle in but today she kept still. "Do you want cuddles baby?" Charlotte asked quietly. The redhead nodded slowly before moving slowly.

"Today, I hid with Aut because i cant stand being in the same room as that man. Aut just helps okay." She accidentally snapped before hiding her head into her girlfriends neck and sighing "Even Shibs stood up to him and i still can't do that." She whispered as tears formed in her eyes. "I could feel him. It was all to close which is why i had the hot shower, to help with the feeling. I do t want to run away. I really don't. Sweetheart I'm so sorry." Mia whispered before curling herself into Charlotte's side, gripping her shirt tightly.

Charlotte moved slowly, pulling Mia onto her chest. "I hear you sweetie,  and im so proud of you for talking to me about it. Baby you are so strong. I love you, the girls love you. Im glad that Aut made you feel safe in that room and if it any help. Siobhan needed to be next to Viv for the rest of the evening,  it really shook her up." She hushed before rubbing mias back. "She looked so okay." Mia whispered but Charlotte shook her head.

"I dont feel tired. I just need cuddles." Mia whispered into Charlotte's neck. "I will hold you baby. Its okay. I've got you" Charlotte whispered while wrapping her arms around Mia a little bit tighter. "Ive got you. You are safe here. No one can hurt you now." Charlotte whispered while running her fingers through Mias hair.

Some time passed and Mias whole body relaxed, Charlotte smiled softly because she knew at that point her girlfriend was asleep. It took a while but soon Charlotte followed suit and drifted off to sleep while keeping a protective arm around her girlfriend.
