Morning coffee - AMR & CV

It was an early Saturday morning, the sun had just began to break through the blinds of Mia and Charlotte's bedroom, casting a warm glow around the room. Thankfully it was their child free weekend while their two daughters spent time with their dad.

As always Charlotte was the first one awake.  She looked around while letting her eyes adjust to the light that was coming through the blinds. She smiledvas she glanced to her left, watching how her girlfriend slept so peacefully. Seeing Mia so peaceful melted her heart. Now that Charlotte was more awake, she rolled over and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, beig careful not to wake her just yet. "I love you" Charlotte whispered, though she knew Mia probably didn't hear her but that didn't matter.

Of course, Mia slowly began to stir awake at the contact from her girlfriend, rolling over in her arms before settling against her chest. "Yay you're awake." Charlotte spoke happily, planting kisses on the other womans forehead. "Shh, I'm asleep and you are warm." Mia muttered, cuddling herself closer to Charlotte dramaticly. The redhead had always hated early mornings, ever since she was a child.

The two women stayed cuddled up to eachother, enjoying the closeness. After some time had passed Charlotte moved slowly. "Mia, baby. Are you awake?" She questioned quietly while gently tracing patterns on Mia's arm. "No, I'm still asleep" she mumbles back incoherently making Charlotte giggle. Mia was and never had been a morning person but of course Charlotte was, every morning was the same but it was how they liked it.

"You are awake and talking to me." Charlotte smiles slightly before leaning against Mia's side, placing kisses to anywhere she could reach. "Sweetheart, if i get you your morning coffees from the door, will you please just let me sleep for five more minutes?" The redhead asks hoping for Charlotte to calm down a bit. "I will never turn down coffee in bed." The brunette whispered happily, while resting her head on Mia's chest.

Mia dramaticly rolled over to pick up her phone, squinting to see as it was so bright. "I hope i get at least an extra half an hour sleep after all this." Mia muttered while paying for Charlotte's morning coffee. "It will be here in 10 minutes so i'm hearing you get cuddles for 5 minutes before i have to get up to answer the door and come back cold."  The moment she finished her sentence, Charlotte was already curling herself into Mia's side. "You are clingy today." The redhead whispered but her girlfriend shook her head. "Am not!" She argued back.

Mia hummed slightly before kissing Charlotte's forehead. "I wont argue with you sweetheart.  I don't mind clingy you, i just don't want grumpy you" she whispered teasingly with a playful smirk on her face. "You are insufferable." Charlotte whispered while playful hitting mia's arm.

"I'm going to wait downstairs." The redhead whispered after some time had passed before slipping out of bed and throwing on her fluffy dressing gown. "This is cruelty to redhead." Mia muttered before shivering slightly making Charlotte giggle.

By the time Mia entered the bedroom with the coffees, Charlotte was sat up against the pillows, scrolling on her phone. "Two coffees for madam Charlotte,  now shh so i can sleep." Mia mumbled while taking off her dressing gown and slipping back into bed. "My side is cold. This isnt fair." She whispered while wrapping the duvet tightly around herself. "The things you do to keep me quiet." Charlotte chuckled slightly before going back to her morning scroll.

It took a while but Mia finally got comfortable next to her before sighing. "My feet are cold, feel." She whispered before moving to press her cold feet against Charlotte's leg. "They are freezing." She shrieked while trying to move away, muttering under her breath about how that was mean.

Half an hour had soon passed and of course, both coffees had been consumed and Charlotte was now wide awake with caffeine running through her veins.  She put her phone down before pushing herself closer to Mia. Snuggling into her back. Mia stired, moving away from Charlotte in her sleep as her hands were cold. "Oh." She mumbled sadly, before slipping out of bed and making a start on the housework that she had been putting off all week, claiming it was a weekend job.

By the time Charlotte had changed the girls beds and a load of washing was in the tumble dryer, Mia stired again, rolling over in search for her girlfriend, only to be met by a cold and empty bed. "Char, where are you?" She whispered, her voice thick with sleep. Of course Charlotte didn't hear Mia. How could she? The words barely left her mouth and Charlotte was downstairs making a start on the living room.

The people who knew Mia well, all knew that she hated waking up alone. She climbed out of bed quickly, throwing on one of Charlotte's hoodies before making her way downstairs. "Baby?" She called weakly but just loud enough for Charlotte to hear her. The brunette come out of the kitchen with a soft smile on her face.

The moment she locked eyes with her girlfriend the smile turned to concern. "Oh baby." She whispered before moving towards her and wrapping her arms around her. "I missed you." The redhead whispered while holding onto Charlotte tightly. "I didn't leave you. I had cold hands and when i tried to hug you after my coffees you moved away because i unsettled you so i got up and made a start on the cleaning. I promise i was going to come back up to check on you." She hushed while kissing Mia's cheek.

By the time 3pm had come round, it was clear to Mia that Charlotte was getting tired. She couldn't help but to giggle to herself at the thought of Charlotte this morning being wide awake while she was trying to sleep. "Have a nap, sweetheart." Mia hushed as she entered the living room. "Even if you have one in here." Charlotte shook her head while reaching out of her girlfriend with grabby hands.

Without a second thought, Mia picked up Charlotte, carrying her upstairs. She was careful not to bump her into anything while she cuddled into Mia's neck. "I will sit in here with you but I think you really need to sleep or at least rest." She hushed before laying her onto the bed, tucking her in. "Mia, I am fine. Why are you making me sleep?" She questioned while yawning inbetween. Mia rolled her eyes at her girlfriend before sighing. "You know i would never make you do anything that you wouldn't want to." She mumbled before moving slightly.

The two, sat in silence but after a while, it soon clicked for Charlotte. "Oh Mia. I didn't mean it like that. Baby i know you would never force me to do anything ever. It wasn't worded properly." She muttered before moving towards Mia and wrapping her arms around her tightly, clinging to her. "Mia, Baby please. Talk to me. Please" she begged as she sat up more to look at her girlfriend. "You are okay sweetheart,  go to sleep." Was all Mia replied but the break in her voice said otherwise.

Charlotte didn't feel like sleeping anymore. She had just upset the woman she loves the most because she wasn't thinking. How could she sleep like nothing happened. For Mia's sake she rolled over and pressed her back against her. They both loved any form of physical contact when it came to eachother.  Charlotte moved closer while hiding her face in the duvet that was wrapped around her.

Mia caught on quickly, watching her girlfriend closely. She kept quiet while subtly holding Charlotte closer and closer to her chest. She could feel her breath hitching ever so slightly, indicating that she was upset. "Sweetheart,  roll over and..." Mia started but before she could finish her sentence Charlotte had rolled over and cuddled into her chest. "Im sorry." She sobbed, desperately holding onto Mia's top that she was wearing. "Oh sweetheart, you are okay.  I've got you." She whispered as she ran her nails up and down Charlotte's back to try and relax her.

It took time and lots of reassurance but soon enough the brunette finally calmed down and snuggled against her girlfriends chest. "I love you sweetheart." Mia whispered before kissing Charlotte's forehead. "I love you" she mumbled while half asleep, cuddling in closer.
