Autumn arrives to the office where Marjorie waiting for her. Marjorie looked at her best friend nervously as they stood in the office together. "My love, i have some news about your father." Marjorie spoke quietly as she tried to hold Autumns hand but she pulled away quickly. "What is it?" She questioned bluntly. "He fell down the stairs and has a concussion." She spoke while trying to hold Autumn's hand again. "Marjorie, he has a sore head." Autumn told her simply.

The manager moved closer. “Do you want a hug?” Marjorie questioned with her arms open wide, in the hope that Autumn would step into them. "No Marjorie. I dont need nor do I want a hug. Especially from you." Autumn told her bluntly before walking towards the staffroom with Marjorie hot on her heels.

Once inside the room, Autumn took a seat next to winter as they smiled softly at eachother before holding one another's hand. Marjorie sighed as she watched the whole thing unfold infront of her, making Autumn smirk because she knew that she was under Marjorie's skin.

After the meeting had finished, Marjorie sat and watched as everyone slowly left the room till it was just her and autumn. Marjorie sighed before opening her mouth. “What was that about my love?” She couldn't shake the feeling that had washed over her.

Autumn said nothing at first and just looked up at her friend with a soft smirk on her face. “What was what about?” She questioned sarcastically. Marjorie rolled her eyes before opening her mouth to speak but as she turnt around to look at Autumn, she noticed that Autumn was about to leave the room. She quickly put her hand on her arm to stop her.

Autumn pushed her hand away harshly. "Marjorie. You act like we are more than just friends.  There is nothing between us! We just work in the same room together and I only see you outside of work so I can spend time with my brother!" Autumn told her coldly. Just as Marjorie opened her mouth to speak, Autumn cut in first. “I mean it Marjorie. There is NOTHING. I’m with winter not you there’s nothing there we are just colleagues.” She snapped harshly.

Autumns words filled Marjorie's head quickly. For something so hurtful to leave the mouth of someone who she thought was her best friend, hurt more than she ever imagined it would. For years she hadn't felt good enough and just as she was starting to believe that maybe just maybe she wasn't that bad, this happened.

All Marjorie could think about was Autumns words. She didn't have a reply which was unusual for her. She normally had an answer for everything. She turnt to leave the room so fast that she practically got whiplash before walking off. Heading to the office. The place where she felt safest in the nursery. Well that was until Autumn decided to share some harsh truths.

She moved so quickly through the corridors as tears threatened to fall that she didn't see Winter who had just heard everything from outside the room. He wasn't eavesdropping, just simply waiting for his wonderful wife but he couldn't help but overhear everything. He watched Marjorie run off. He waited for a moment before making his way back inside to find his wife.

"My love?" Winter questioned quietly, after making sure they were alone. "Yes my sweet." She replied softly while turning around to look at him. "I think you need to apologise to Marjorie. I know she's really pushing everything but at the end of the day, she's just trying to be there for you. I know that she's not the best manager when it comes to organising things but her heart is always in the right place." He spoke quietly as he watched his wife's face closely. "I will go and find her then meet you in the car after." She spoke calmly before taking a breath and reluctantly moving towards the office.

Autumn took a deep breath to steady herself before she pushed open the office door, making her way inside. What she found inside didn't surprise her at all but it did hurt. It really hurt. She had caused this. Autumn sighed, she knew she had her villain era but she thought she was better than this now. She had tried so hard to change herself for everyone else but now looking at Marjorie made her question everything.
