The day that Marjorie had agreed with Maddison to visit finally came round. She stood outside the nursery, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and nostalgia. It had been a year since she had left this place, a year filled with new adventures and experiences, but the memories of laughter, play, and the warmth of the little ones lingered in her mind. The vibrant colours of the building seemed to beckon her, reminding her of the joy she had shared with the children.

As she stepped inside, the familiar scent of crayons and paint filled the air. The walls adorned with the children’s artwork brought a smile to her face. She walked down the hallway, her footsteps echoing softly, and soon she heard the cheerful sounds of children playing. Peeking into the playroom, she saw a group of toddlers building a tower with blocks, their faces lit up with concentration and excitement. It reminded her of the countless afternoons spent guiding them through their imaginative creations.

Maddison was greeted by all the nursery staff, who welcomed her back with open arms and was introduced to everyone who had joined the team after she had left. They shared stories of the children’s progress, and she felt a sense of pride knowing she had played a part in their early development. Maddison was caught up on all the drama by carly as they stood in the preschool room.

As the day unfolded, Maddison joined in the activities, reading stories, singing songs, and even painting with the children. It felt as if no time had passed at all. By the end of her visit, she realized that while she had moved on, the knight nursery would always hold a special place in her heart, a place where she had not only nurtured young minds but had also grown as a person herself.

Just as Maddison was about to leave, she came face to face with a blonde. The one person she was hoping to avoid.

Siobhan had always been known for her strong opinions and outspoken nature. It all started with small remarks and dismissive comments about relationships that didn't fit her so-called traditional views. The staff at the nursery, including Maddison, all tried to brush it off, hoping it was just a phase, but as time went on, Siobhan's comments became more direct and hurtful. Only the people who actually took time to talk to her could tell she was trying so hard to change for the better.

But, now was Maddisons' time to question the blonde. "I hear you are a lesbian now? And after all you said to me, and sorscha." Maddison teased slightly as she looked at Siobhan. The blonde straightened her posture and folded her arms across her chest. "I dont know where you get your information from, but that is certainly not true. Im not one of you, " she scolded as she looked Maddison up and down, doing everything in her power to keep up the wall she had built years ago. Instead of the excitement Maddison had hoped for, Siobhan scoffed, making a snide remark about how "that kind of thing" wasn't for her and it was just a comment that Carly was spreading after mishearing a conversation.

Maddison felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. Deep down, she had always valued their friendship they once had long before Roger, but Siobhan's words somehow always cut deep no matter how hard she tried to let it slip.

The conversation quickly turned tense, with Maddison trying to explain her thoughts and Siobhan standing firm in her 'beliefs'. It was clear that the gap between them had widened, and Maddison realized that this was more than just a disagreement; it was a fundamental clash of values.

What Siobhan didn't notice was that her partner stood right behind her with her hands on her hip and an unreadable expression on her face. "Is that so? This is really how you feel about everything? About us?" The raven haired woman questioned simply, gesturing between the blonde and herself. The sound of Vivian's voice startled Siobhan as she turned to look at her anxiously. "If this kind of thing isn't for you, i suggest you find somewhere else to stay tonight till you figure out what is for you." Vivian spoke quietly, she wasnt ready to shout and trigger her anxiety. She just simply walked past the two women and into the room to do handover.
