Charlotte curled up on the couch, clutching her stomach as waves of pain washed over her. The familiar cramping had hit her like a freight train, and she felt utterly helpless. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she tried to find a comfortable position on the couch, but nothing seemed to ease the discomfort.

"Mia," she called out, her voice trembling with both pain and frustration. "I need you." Mia rushed into the room, her heart sinking at the sight of Charlotte's distress. The one thing that Mia hated the most was when she couldn't help Charlotte when she needed her. She knelt beside her, brushing a strand of hair from Charlotte's forehead, but felt a wave of helplessness wash over her as she realized there was little she could do to alleviate the pain.

"I'm so sorry, babe," Mia said softly, wishing she could take the hurt away. "I wish I could make it better." Charlotte's sobs grew louder at Mia's words, feeling even more overwhelmed by the situation. The pain was unbearable, and the fact that Mia couldn't fix it only deepened her sadness.

Mia wrapped her arms around Charlotte, holding her close as she cried. "I'm here for you," she whispered, trying to offer comfort. "Just let it out. I love you, and we'll get through this together."

"Mia, please... it hurts." Charlotte sobbed as she clung to her girlfriend tightly. "Sweetheart, i know, but i can't do anything. Im right here, but that's all i can do." She hushed as she pulled Charlotte onto her lap. "Mia!" She sobbed as she gripped her top before hiding her head into her shoulder. "Oh baby girl, i know I've got you," she hushed

As Charlotte leaned into Mia's embrace, she felt a flicker of solace in the warmth of her girlfriend's presence, even if the pain still lingered. "Shall we go and run your bath so you can relax, and then after, i will make you a hot water bottle, and we can have cuddles?" Mia asked as Charlotte nodded her head slowly.

Mia could hear the muffled sobs coming from the living room, and her heart ached for Charlotte. She quickly filled the tub with warm water, adding a few drops of lavender oil, hoping the soothing scent would help ease her girlfriend's pain. Once the bath was ready, she rushed back to Charlotte, gently taking her hand.

"Come on, sweetheart, let's get you in the bath," Mia said softly, guiding Charlotte to the bathroom. The warm steam enveloped them as they entered, and Mia helped Charlotte step into the tub, the warmth wrapping around her like a comforting hug. Charlotte winced as she settled in, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

Mia knelt beside the tub, her heart breaking at the sight of Charlotte in pain. "I'm right here," she reassured her, grabbing a soft washcloth and gently washing Charlotte's shoulders, trying to distract her from the discomfort. "Just breathe, okay? You're doing so well." Charlotte closed her eyes, focusing on Mia's voice and the gentle strokes of the cloth against her skin.

After a while, Mia helped Charlotte out of the bath, wrapping her in a fluffy towel. "Let's get you cosy, and we can have cuddles," she said, leading her to the bedroom. Mia carefully tucked Charlotte into bed, making sure she was warm and comfortable. "I'll be right here if you need anything," she whispered, brushing a soft kiss on Charlotte's forehead. As Charlotte lay there, the warmth of the bath and Mia's love enveloped her, offering a small reprieve from the pain.

"Can i have a cuddle, please?" Charlotte asked quietly as her voice broke halfway through her sentence. Mia said nothing as she climbed into bed next to Charlotte, wrapping her arms around her gently. Her hands rested on her stomach, rubbing it gently. "That's it, baby girl. If you have a nap, i will be here when you wake up, i promise." Mia whispered calmly as she watched Charlotte's eyes fluttering closed.
