"Sorscha, you don't get it. Yes,  i know she's a content creator, but she brings me so much comfort and makes me feel loved." Carly started before placing her phone down on the table and folding her arms. "You won't have to understand the feeling of being unloved and just being desperate for a hug because you have your perfect family who loves you. You don't end up crying yourself to sleep every night while trying to be quiet so no one hears you. Do you?!" Sorscha could see the emotions bubbling up inside Carly and could hear her voice begin to break come the end of her rant.

Sorscha took a deep breath to calm herself as she listened to the teenager. "Carly, if you let us in, we can all help you. Marj is your work mum, if you spoke to her she would care." Sorscah told her while keeping her distance from the young girl, just then the tears started to roll down her cheeks. "So funny how you all care, no one notices till its to late. All i have to do is fake a smile and suddenly im fine but the second i break you are all so quick with the stories of how you noticed and could tell but not one of you wanted to check in before then." Carly raised her voice, she didn't mean to of course but the emotions all came to much. "Hey, thats not fair Carly.  Charlotte,  me and Winter always check in on you when we are on shift together.  Dont try and push us away just because of some content creator that you are obsessed with." Sorscha spat, her frustration bubbling.

"Some content creator,  the women who creates storylines that highlight every day struggles, the woman that takes time to watch edits people have made, who is herself around us to make us feel comfortable and seen. You have no idea the hell that woman has helped me through!" She couldn't help it, she had to fight back and stand her ground while the tears continued to fall down her cheeks. "Anyway my lunch break is over." She mumbled before wiping her tears with the sleeve of her favourite hoodie while putting her phone away.

Just as Carly made her way to the door, it opened revealing Marjorie. "What on gods green earth is going on in here. I can hear the bickering from my office." She started as she looked between her staff members, walking further into the staff room. The moment she met eyes with Carly, she softened. The older woman made her way over to Carly and without warning, wrapped her arms around her. "My love, whats going on?" Sorscha rolled her eyes at the interaction, she knew she was going to get a lecture about being nicer to Carly as she is a lot younger than everyone else.

Just as Marjorie was about to open her mouth the sound of a sniffle followed by a choked sob filled the room. "My love, its okay." Marjorie whispered as she rubbed her back. Sorscha moved closer to the both of them, moving to wipe Carlys face. "I-i need to get back to the room so c-char can have her lunch." Marjorie shook her head. "No, you are upset. Im not about to make you head back till you have calmed down." She whispered. "I will give her an extra 5 minutes to make up for it."

Carly relaxed against Marjorie as the older woman started playing with her hair. "My love, go and wait in my office please." She whispered before locking eyes with Sorscha who held her hands up. "Mia will shout at me because of Chars lunch break. I am fine." She whispered before pulling away from Marjorie. Once Carly had gotten out of Marjorie embrace, she left the room quietly. "Now, Marjorie before you tear me a new one," Sorscha started but Marjorie stopped her. "Don't worry my love, this has been coming for a long time. Shes been on edge for a while now. Anyway im going to find her and sit her in the office." Marjorie told her calmly as she moved out of the staff room room.

The sound of sniffles caught Marjories attention. "Carly, come sit with me for a bit, you can go back into the room once you have calmed down." Marjorie said gently, patting the chair next to her desk. Carly wordlessly obliged, sinking into the seat with a sigh that seemed to carry the weight of the world. Marjorie knew better than to pry immediately; sometimes, just being in someone's presence was enough.

As Carly sat beside Marjorie's desk, she watched Marjorie shuffle through papers and answer emails all while Mia kept her head down. She understood that Carly was struggling but she was annoyed that she wasnt there to cover Charlotte for lunch. The quiet hum of the office, usually a source of annoyance, was a comforting backdrop to her thoughts. After a few minutes, Marjorie swiveled her chair slightly to face Carly, her expression soft. "Want to tell me what's going on my love?" she asked, her voice low and gentle. Carly hesitated for a moment, then the words started to tumble out, a jumble of frustrations and disappointments that had been building up inside her.

Marjorie listened patiently, offering nods of understanding and the occasional word of encouragement. When Carly finally finished, a little lighter for having shared her burden, Marjorie offered a warm smile. "Well, that sounds like a lot to handle," she said. "But you know, you're one of the strongest people I know. You'll get through this, just like you always do." Marjorie told her softly.

Hearing that come from Marjorie wound Mia up. "Is that all the advice you are going to give her?" She questioned while looking between the two of them. Mia sighed before moving to sit the other side of the young girl. "Right, im not saying this again so listen. If you ever need to talk me and Char will be here. Char adores you so i know for a fact she would sit and listen to you. As for the family problems, i can only offer you the spare room if you need to get away for a while. Im sure char would give you a better conversation but like Marjorie said you will be okay. You have us." Mia spoke calmly while Marjorie gave her a look of pure shock, her never seen Mia this soft.

Mia chose to ignore Marjorie but knew there would be questions later. Carly listened intently before moving, wrapping her arms around Mia tightly. The redhead froze. She wasn't sure what to do but sure enough, she wrapped her arms around Carly. "You're okay." She whispered just as the office door opened, Charlotte standing there.

"Hey baby." Mia whispered calmly, making sure Carly heard that Charlotte was there. "Carls, how are you feeling? Sorscha told me you were in the office so i got Chloe to cover me." She explained quietly before placing her hand on Carly’s shoulder. The young girl moved slightly. "Im sorry this is your lunch break, but im okay now." She whispered while trying to get up and away from everyone, but Charlotte shook her head, wrapping her arms around Carly as she stood up. "I'm having lunch with you, in here, right now." She whispered before pulling Carly down to sit on the couch with her.
