The office had been quiet all day. Although Mia loved not having Marjorie constantly talking, she was concerned, she was too quiet. The red head kept a close eye on her manager, watching for anything. She watched how her brows knitted together as she looked at her phone and how her face would drop every now and then followed by a sigh.

"I need to call Reece and get him here. We will be in the family room so can you man the office please?" She asked Mia while typing on her phone. As much as she didn't mind, she made sure to act like it bothered her. "Can't it wait? We are at work." She told her but she knew Marjorie was already sending the message.

"Im surprised he still wants to talk to you, after the way you have treated him. You just yell at him and some of the stuff that has left your mouth has been a new low even for you. I grew up with that man and I've seen him go through heartbreak but ive never seen him like this before not even after his mum left." Mia scolded, she had to make her see what she was seeing. "I get it okay but this is a conversation for me and him not us." She snaps before leaving the office.

Marjorie entered the family room to find Reece already sat there, coffees in hand. "I know you said that you can get your own but i was grabbing one for myself, so i thought it was only fair to get you one aswell." He told her quietly while looking at her. Her face softened quickly. "Thank you." She whispered before moving to sit next to him.

The couple sat in the quiet space, side by side. "Reece I'm sorry for how i have been acting towards you. I know my emotions have been..." Marjorie stopped as Reeces phone rang. As he pulled it from his pocket her name lit up his screen. "So it is true. I wasn't over thinking it! I will leave you alone then i guess." Marjorie told him as her voice began to break.

She stood up and made her way out of the family room and back down the corridor quietly before he had a chance to say anything. Just after she entered the office, she turned back around to lock it. "Dont talk to me. Im not in the mood." Marjorie yelled at Mia before the redhead could even say anything.

"I wasn't going to say anything actually but you have started it now. What did you do?" Mia questioned but Marjorie looked away and ignored her. She wasn't angry at Mia but right in that moment she didn't want to talk or think about it especially when she knew who he was on the phone too. "Fine dont talk to me then but don't go making complaints about me that im not nice to you."

Once Marjorie calmed down slightly she took a deep breath. "Hes cheating on me." Marjorie mumbled. "A is probably you or Aut because you guys would tear him a new one." The shorter woman mumbled.

Mia looked at her in utter shock before shaking her head. "There has to be some kind of explanation." Mia whispered, completely in shock. Marjorie looked at her, seeing red. "You're the problem. Hes never been loved properly and now he sees cheating as okay because you would drop him when you felt like it! This is your fault!" Marjorie yelled, before her hand shot up to cover her mouth. "Oh my chriost!

Mia stood there stunned, shaking her head ever so slightly. "You, you have no idea the fresh hell i went through growing up. You think what happened was by choice!" Mia scolded. "Get out! Just go!" Mia practically screamed at her. The redhead couldn't help herself. The second Marjorie had left, Mia locked the office door before sliding onto the floor.

Everything Mia had held in suddenly came out, years of trauma, pain and hidden emotions all pouring out. Sobs wracked her body as she sat shaking on the floor, unable to catch her breath. Meanwhile Marjorie listened intently from outside the door before rushing to find someone.

On her way to the baby room to get Charlotte, Marjorie practically ran straight into Siobhan. "What is the rush Marjorie?" Vivian asks while watching her partner closely, making sure she doesn't shout. "Mia. She needs help. From Charlotte.  I hurt her." Marjorie panted. "You stay with Viv, i will be back." Siobhan whispered before moving towards the office.

Once Siobhan was outside the office door, she could hear how distressed her friend was. "Mia, let me in please." Siobhan told her calmly while knocking on the door.

It took a while but after what felt like hours, the door opened enough for Siobhan to walk inside. "W-what do you want?" Mia questioned, she tried to sound angry but her voice breaking gave away her pain.

Siobhan sighed as she looked at Mias red and blotchy cheeks. "Im here to check on you. Marjorie practically ran into me on her way to find Charlotte." She explained quietly before moving slowly, passing Mia a tissue. "Talk to me. Ehat happened?"

Mia quickly wipes her eyes with the tissue from Siobhan before taking a deep breath. "Everyone gets to walk away fine and I-I'm left here broken. We were all young at the time but Reece has found love, Aut has got her family.  I know i have char and the girls but everyone is so quick to paint me in a bad light because if what happened. It wasnt my fault i did what i had to. I had no choice. Marjorie blamed Reece cheating on me. I didnt do that. I cant have" the redhead got out before breaking down again.

Siobhan goes to move closer but Mia moves away. "Stay away from me!" She yells before moving to the farm side of the office. Siobhan sighs sadly before moving to look at the younger women. "Im going to get Charlotte for you." Siobhan told her calmly but she shook her head quickly. "No! I will ruin her aswell. I can't she has her girls to look after. I can't." Mia sobs into her hands. "Then let me sit with you." Siobhan told her sternly.

Mia sighed before wrapping her arms around herself tightly. "Please go away. I need space before I upset..." before Mia could finish her sentence, the office door opens.

"Baby, whats happened?" Charlotte asks while moving towards Mia. "No, go away." Mia begs but Charlotte ignores here before pulling her girlfriend into her arms. "Ive got you. Its okay,  shhh." Charlotte soothes while holding Mia against her chest. "I will ruin you like i do everyone else. Please. Please go." She sobs while still holding onto Charlotte's top.

The brunette stays still, keeping Mia held close to her chest while playing with her hair as she waits for Mia's heart rate to slow down again.

"Marj.  She thinks Reece is cheating.  She blamed me because of our history." Mia finally got ou as tears started flowing again. "I cant ruin you to." She blubbered. Charlotte kissed Mia's cheek, gently wiping away stray tears. "No baby, you wont ruin me. You have fixed me and our daughters love you so much. I-" Charlotte spoke before being interrupted. "Both of you go home. I will speak with Marjorie." Siobhan told her sternly before holding her hand out for mia to take, which she did. One by one the blonde helped them both off of the floor. "Go home please" she told them both calmly.

Hours had passed since the couple had arrived at home. They had slipped into bed and been wrapped up in eachothers arms ever since. Charlotte had offered Mia everything she could think of but the redhead couldn't bring herself to move. She was drained.

The silence was broken by Mia's phone ringing on the bedside table. Mia sighed before moving to answer it. "What do you want?" Mia asked bluntly, earning a look from her girlfriend. Mia stayed quiet while listening to Marjorie as she explained how sorry she was and that she was in the wrong. Mia sighed before moving towards Charlotte again. "Its fine. Im not coming in the rest of this week. I will be back on Monday." Mia told her before hanging up.

Mia rolled straight into Charlotte's waiting arms. "She said sorry but im going to leave her alone in the office for a few days to make her do some real work" she mumbled against Charlotte's chest. "Thats the woman i love " che beamed before kissing the top of her head.
