Marjorie had just finsihed giving Charlotte a list of instructions before rushing out the door. She quickly spotted Autumn waddling down the path, her baby bump leading the way like a tiny, insistent explorer. "Alright there, Autumn?" Marjorie called out, hurrying over. "Do you need a hand or can you do it?" Marjorie wad careful with Autumn as she never could gage what mood she was in.

Autumn grinned ever so slightly, her face a little flushed. "Just a bit, things are just extra challenging today." Marjorie chuckled slightly before playfully rolling her eyes. She hooked arms with Autumn and carefully guided her towards the car. Opening the passenger door wide, she positioned herself to offer a steadying arm. "Now, slow and steady," she coached, as Autumn lowered herself gingerly into the seat.

Once Autumn was settled, with a grateful sigh, Marjorie fussed over her, adjusting the seatbelt for maximum comfort. "There you go," she said, patting Autumn's knee reassuringly. "All set for the grand adventure." Autumn laughed softly, the sound a little breathless. "You're a lifesaver, Marjorie. I don't know what I'd do without you." She whispered as Marjorie tried not to make a fuss.

Marjorie gripped the steering wheel, her knuckles white. Beside her, Autumn was a symphony of pained breaths and muttered encouragements to herself. "Okay, Autumn, deep breaths," Marjorie coached, her voice calm despite the frantic energy thrumming through her. "We're almost there."

The car swerved slightly as Marjorie navigated a particularly sharp corner. "Sorry!" she yelped, glancing at Autumn, whose face was contorted in another wave of pain. "Just trying to get you there as quickly as possible." Autumn squeezed her hand, her grip surprisingly strong. "You're doing great, Marj," she gasped. "Just... keep going."

The car ride was a blur of red lights and hushed urgency. Autumn's breaths came in ragged gasps, each one a testament to the growing intensity of her labor. "Okay, Autumn, focus on me," Marjorie said, her voice calm despite the frantic energy in the car. With one hand gripping the steering wheel, she gently placed the other on Autumn's swollen belly, feeling the hard knot of a contraction. "Breathe in... two, three, four... and out... two, three, four."

Autumn's hand gripped Marjorie's tightly, her knuckles white. She tried to match Marjorie's rhythm, but pain kept pulling her under. "It hurts, Marj," she gasped, tears welling in her eyes. "I know, my love, I know," Marjorie soothed, her thumb stroking Autumn's hand. "Just keep breathing. We're almost there. Think about meeting your baby. Winter will be there aswell. Its all okay" she hushed

As they sped towards the hospital, Marjorie continued to coach Autumn, her voice a steady anchor in the storm of labor. With each breath, with each contraction, they moved closer to the moment Autumn would finally meet her little one.

Soon enough the hospital finally loomed into view, a beacon of hope against the backdrop of Autumn's labor. Marjorie screeched to a halt outside the entrance, jumped out, and dashed around to help Autumn. "We're here! We're here!" she exclaimed, relief flooding her voice. As she helped Autumn out of the car, Winter and a nurse rushed towards them with a wheelchair. "You made it just in time," the nurse said, a smile in her voice. "Let's get you inside." Marjorie stood and watched as the three of them made it inside before moving her car into a parking spot and making her way inside.

Marjorie was pacing the waiting room, a nervous energy buzzing through her. She'd dropped Autumn off at the hospital doors, watched her disappear inside with the nurses and her husband but now she has been relegated to this purgatory of anticipation. Her phone buzzed, and she snatched it up, her heart leaping. It was Winter,

Marjorie took a shaky breath before accepting the call. "Hey my love, how is she?" Marjorie asked, her voice tight with worry.

"She's... intense" Winter said, a strained laugh in their voice. "But doing amazing but Listen, Autumn wants you to stay with her. She says she needs you here."
