It had been a long week for Carly, with her parents away and her staying at home alone to look after herself and also go to work made it all harder. That was until Charlotte invited her to stay as she didn't have her girls this week.

It was finally Saturday, the day that everyone had been looking forward to, staying in bed longer and not rushing out the door. But for Carly it meant something else. She had known it was coming for days due to the odd cramps she felt.

It wasn’t to bad until the young girl woke up in the night to find that she had started her period. Panic was the first thing to set in, quickly followed by painful cramps.

Carly took a moment to calm herself with some deep breaths before making her way down the hallway. She knew where the couple kept everything in the bathroom so thankfully she didnt have to worry about supplies and what to do with anything. She was forever grateful to not have to wake up Charlotte or even worse Mia to ask them.

When she got back to bed, that was when she noticed that there was a blood stain in the middle of the bed, on the white sheet. It wasnt even her sheet to ruin. Tears rolled down Carly's cheeks and her breath became shallow once again. She tried her best to keep quiet as not to wake anyone up. The young girl sank down onto the floor next to the bed, pulling the duvet around herself.

Carly couldn't bring herself to tell anyone, guilt and embarrassment was eating her up. She sat on the floor with her knees close to her chest and that was where she stayed till she heard movements downstairs.

After a while Carly made her way to the kitchen to find Charlotte and Mia dancing quietly together in eachothers arms with the radio playing quietly in the background.  "Good morning." She mumbled from the doorway as the couple slowly moved away from eachother. "Good morning!" Charlotte smiled before it started to fade.

Charlotte noticed that Carly didn't seem herself, the dark circles under her eyes and how red they looked gave it all away. Even Mia noticed. "Is everything okay?" Mia questioned quietly making the young girl tense slightly. "I-I'm fine" she stuttered before internally scolding herself for stuttering.

Charlotte moved slowly and took hold of Carly's hand. "Talk to me Carls. I can help you." She hushed but the young girl just shook her head slowly. "You can talk to Mia if you would rather. You need to talk to one of us if something is upsetting you and we can help you." She spoke calmly, hoping to get though to the young girl.

Carly went to move away but Charlotte shook her head before wrapping her arms around her. "You dont have to talk to me but im not letting you walk off upset." Charlotte spoke quietly as she felt her friend nuzzle her face into her hoodie. Charlotte looked at Mia, looking at her for some help with what to do. The redhead nodded before moving towards the pair, placing her hand on Carly’s back. "Only me." She mumbled as she could feel how tense she was.

"Do you feel like you can talk to one of us about this?" Mia questioned quietly but Carly shook her head quickly. "Thats okay, would you like us to call someone for you to talk to?" She tried again only to get the same head shake. "Carls do you want to show us instead?" Charlotte questioned after listening to Mia’s options.

Carly sighed before moving away from both the womans embrace, she had put this off for long enough. She took hold of Charlottes hand before pulling her upstairs. Charlotte followed behind, allowing her friend to take the lead. "I'm sorry." Carly choked out before moving into the bedroom she was staying in.

She moved slowly, pulling back the blanket to reveal the red stain. "I didn't mean to." So sobbed while looking anywhere but at Charlotte or the bed. "I leaked." Charlotte moved slowly, wrapping her arms around Carly tightly. "You are okay.we will change it and wash everything but first lets get you settled with a blanket and hot water bottle."

Once they were both downstairs, Mia listened to Charlottes orders to make a hot water  bottle and toast. The redhead had no idea what happened but she wasnt about to overstep. Soon enough she walked back in with her hands full. Charlotte moved slowly and took the hot water bottle, placing it gently onto Carly's stomach. "Babe sit with her while i run upstairs." Charlotte whispered before moving away.

As Mia sat down, Carly slowly shuffled closer. "Im sorry." She whispered before swallowing back tears that had pooled in her eyes. Mia sighed before moving slightly and patting her lap. "Put your head here." She whispered softly, trying to comfort the young girl.

It didn't take long for Charlotte to reappear after changing the bedding and putting the stained items in the wash. Walking towards the living room she could hear mia talking softly. "Carls would it make it better if i spoke to Mia and told her what happened? No one is going to shout at you." Carly nodded slightly before looking at the floor, fiddling with her sleeves. "Carly,  look at me." Charlotte told her. "Dont shut down on us now." She whispered while wrapping her arms around her tightly.

Charlotte stayed like that for a while before she began talking. "Mia, carly started her period last night and leaked on the sheets but ive got everything in the wash." Charlotte spoke quietly, keeping her arms wrapped around Carly. Mia sighed. "Car, this is normal sweetheart,. It happens to the best of us. You could have woken us and we could have cleaned everything but im glad you told us."

It took some time but sure enough, Carly felt brave enough to sit on the couch without Charlotte hugging her. This was a lot since she had never been in this position before. Mia moved away slowly, trying her best to comfort her.

After the fifth time Mia walk in she looked at her partner and Carly before smiling. "Do you need anything?" She questioned earning a small head shake from her girlfriend. "C-can you sit with us." Carly mumbled nervously. Mia didn't respond, she just moved slowly, squeezing herself into the spot on the couch next to Carly. "Now we are both here, i think you should try and get some rest. We will both be here when you wake up."

An hour had passed when Carly finally began to stired. She instinctively curled herself into Charlotte's side, holding onto mias arm. "Shh you are okay." Mia whispered calmly as she watched the young girl. "You are so good with her." Charlotte whispered to her girlfriend who smiled in response.

It didn't take long for Carly to wake up, her eyes squinting as she adjusted to the light. "Sorry" She mumbled nervously but this time she didn't try and move away, she stayed close to them both. Mia moved slowly, pulling a blanket around the young girl more. "We are staying here and watching movies for the rest of the day." Carly nodded slowly before yawning.

Carly had once again curled herself up tightly around Mia's hand before hiding her head quickly into Mia's shoulder. "Carly,  talk to us and we can help." Charlotte whispered as she noticed something was bothering her but Carly shook her head. "Carly talk to Char please." Mia mumbled just as if on cue, Carly's stomach rumbled. "I'm guessing someone is feeling hungry?" Charlotte spoke with a soft smile.

Mia went to move but Carly didn't seem to let go. "Okay, i will stay here but one of us will have to move." She whispered softly before thinking. "Or i can order food if that would be better." Carly didn't respond, just shrugged. "I fancy McDonalds." Charlotte spoke quietly. She knew how Carly would agree but wouldn't feel comfortable enough to ask.

It was long till the coffee table was covered in empty boxes and half filled drinks. Carly had just taken herself upstairs leaving the two women alone together. "You have been amazing with her." Charlotte whispered with a soft smile on her face. "As have you." Mia replied while wrapping her arms around her girlfriend.
