Siobhan stired awake, rolling over to look at the time. She noticed that it was 3am, which was strange because the blonde always slept well. She rolled over and cuddled herself into Vivian's back. As she led there, she suddenly started feeling unwell. A heavy cold had settled in, leaving her with a sore throat and a throbbing headache.
Vivian had always been a light sleeper and noticed right away that something was off. She rolled onto her side, concern etched on her face. "Bonbon, you look pale. How are you feeling?" She asked gently. Siobhan managed a weak smile, "I think I just need some rest, im okay." She mumbled, not wanting to make a fuss. Vivian didn't want to leave her side and decided to take care of her. "Bons, i will be back quickly." She whispered before getting up and rushing downstairs. She quickly brewed her favourite herbal tea, made a cosy blanket fort in the living room for when she was ready to get up, and then brought her all the comforts she could think of.
By the time Vivian had made it upstairs, Siobhan had already gone back to sleep while cuddling into her pillow. "You sleep, sweetheart." She whispered while placing her drink and medication on the bedside cabinet next to the bed.

Siobhan woke up from her nap, feeling a heavy fog in her head and a persistent ache in her throat. She tried to shake off the discomfort, telling herself it was just a passing cold. As she shuffled into the living room, she found her partner, Vivian, already brewing coffee and preparing breakfast. Her cheerful demeanour contrasted sharply with her gloomy mood.
"Good morning, love! You do really look under the weather, Bonbon. Do you want me to make you some more tea?" Viv asked, concern evident in his voice. Siobhan forced a smile, brushing off her offer. "I’m fine, really. Just a little tired," she replied, not wanting to admit how poorly she felt. She didn’t want to worry her or disrupt their plans for the day.
As the morning went on, Vivian continued to check in on her, offering to run errands or take care of chores. Each time she offered help, Siobhan insisted she was okay, determined to handle everything herself. She believed that accepting help would make her seem weak or needy, and she didn’t want to burden her partner with her illness.
By midday, Siobhan’s energy waned, and she found herself curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket. Vivian entered the room with a worried expression. "You really should rest, Bonbon. I can take care of everything," she said gently. She shook her head, her pride getting in the way. "I can manage. I just need a little time," she insisted.
As the day wore on, Siobhan’s condition worsened, and she finally had to admit to herself that she couldn’t keep up the façade. She felt a wave of guilt wash over her for pushing Vivian away when all she wanted was to care for her. In that moment of vulnerability, she realized that accepting help didn’t mean she was weak; it meant she was human.
With a deep breath, she finally looked at Viv and said, "I think I need your help after all." A look of relief crossed her face as she rushed to her side, wrapping her in her arms. "I’m here for you, always," she whispered, and in that moment, Siobhan finally understood the true strength of their love, one that thrived on support and vulnerability.
As the days passed, Tom stayed by Siobhan's side, reading her favourite books and watching movies together. She even cooked her favourite meals, trying to lift her spirits. Siobhan appreciated her kindness and felt grateful to have someone who cared for her so deeply. Slowly but surely, with Vivian's love and support, the blonde began to recover. Siobhan turned to Vivian and said, "Thank you for being my rock. I couldn't have gotten through this without you." Vivian smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I'll always be here for you, no matter what." With those words, they both knew that their love had grown even stronger through the challenges they faced together.
