"Autumn no... please stop!" Mia begged as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Why should i? You were never there! You promised! You lied. It was all an act!" Autumn shouted back just as Marjorie entered the room. Mias gaze stayed on Autumn as she held the photo in her hands. "Please..." she begged her as her voice broke.

"Put it down, I've got your lunch. Go and find winter in the staff room. It will help you to vlear your head, " Marjorie told Autumn calmly as she stood between the two women. "This isn't over!" She warned before grabbing her lunch and walking out of the office. "Umm, Mia... do you want me to call Charlotte into the office for you?" She asked as she watched Mia closely as she walked up to Autumns desk, where it was clear photos had been torn apart. "I think im just going to head home, but i will pick her up tonight if she asks." The red head tried to put up a front, but it was hard.

"You know her hormones are all over the place. i wouldn't take it personally." Marjorie spoke softly while sitting at her desk. She and Mia had never been close, so it made the whole situation that much harder. "I brought photos from when we were little, from the good times, but she tore them up, i have no other copies of these. This is all i have, marj, and it's gone... because i try and be nice. This is what i get." She told her bluntly while fighting back the tears.

"Speak to reece. Im sure he has them." But Mia shook her head."it was from my old camera that i got as a reward from Roger for pranking Reece one time, but i used it to take pictures of the best times, like trips to the park or us in the tree house but now they are gone." She mumbled. Marjorie listened closely while standing up and moving closer to Mia. "Come here." She whispered before gently stroking Mias hair. The red head turned around and clung to Marjorie tightly as her chest heaved. "I won't let you go until you are ready." She whispered as she swayed them both gently. Mia hated how open she was being, but right now, she needed someone, and that person was Marjorie.

"Mia, we can put them together. I will sit and help you." Marjorie whispered while keeping hold of Mia as she let out a yawn, her sobs subsiding into occasional sniffles. "Im going to call Char." Marjorie told her calmly before reaching for the phone, still holding Mia.

"Hey char, can you come to the office please? It's an emergency." Marjorie told her calmly as she felt Mia tightening her grip. "Okay, im on my way," she told her before hanging up. Moments later, the door opened, and Charlotte entered. Her eyes were landing on her girlfriend, and her eyes widened in shock as she stood in Marjories arms. "Hey, sweetheart," Charlotte whispered as she placed her hand on mias back.

The red head turned around and clung to Charlotte as a fresh wave of tears rolled down her cheeks. "Oh baby, I've got you." Charlotte spoke calmly as she watched Marjorie trying to put together the old pictures. "She ripped them," she sobbed as Charlotte walked them both over to the couch, sitting with mia in her arms.

Charlotte carefully played with Mias hair while holding her closely. "That's it, baby, shhh." Charlotte spoke calmly as Mia soon settled in her arms. Just at that point, Autumn entered the office again, making Mia tense as the rest of the photos were still on her desk. "Mia." Autumn scolded as she looked at her, making the red head lean more on her girlfriend. "Autumn, how dare you!" Marjorie scolded her deputy quickly while moving the photos off her desk.

"It wasn't just your past autumn.  You might not want to see the photos, but you don't get to just destroy her memories like that. What if Mia tore the photo of you and your mum? Maybe try and think before you lash out." Marjorie scolded her deputy. "This isn't your hormones. This is just nasty."

Autumns body language shifted visibly, a wave of sadness washing over her.  "What have i done?" She questioned herself anxiously while looking at a distressed Mia. "Mimi, im sorry." She mumbled nervously before moving closer, but Mia ignored her and just moved closer to Charlotte. "Sweetheart, you're okay." She hushed while keeping her arms around Mia.

"Im going home, i will pick you up later." She whispered to Charlotte, but she shook her head. "I will drive you home and then drive my car back in if you do really want to go." Charlotte spoke calmly while running her fingers through Mias hair. "You can't just run away again! That's all you ever do." Autumn told her harshly.

At that point, the red head pushed herself out of Charlottes embrace and squared up to Autumn, standing right in front of her. "May as well rip up the rest of the picture because whatever friendship we had is over. Dont talk to me, dont message me, dont come near me. You aren't the little sister i used to love." Mia spat at Autumn before turning around promptly, ready to leave.

"Maybe you aren't the big sister i needed after all! Maybe this baby will also be better off without you being in the way as well." Autumn spat back as she placed her hand on her stomach. Charlotte caught Mias eye and moved quickly to stand between the two women.

A hand coming into contact with Charlotte, leaving Autumn unscathed. "You can shout all you want. We all know you are hurting, but you can't just slap her." Charlotte spoke calmly despite the sting on her cheek. Autumn stood back, slightly nervous about how Mia was acting. She couldn't let her baby get hurt.

"Mia, i think you need a few minutes,  i will speak to you later." Charlotte whispered as she held her burning cheek. "Aut, are you okay?" Charlotte asked softly while pulling out a chair for the younger woman. Marjorie positioned herself behind Charlotte as Mia stormed off out of the office.

Once Autumn had visibly calmed down, Charlotte picked up the photos. "If she wants them, they are in my locker." She told both her friends before going to leave the office. "Char, i didn't mean it. Im sorry i upset her like i did, and she hit you." Autumn told Charlotte in her cold tone. Charlotte smiled slightly at her. "You both made mistakes, but if i see her, i will pass on the message."

As Charlotte left the office, there stood Mia, fiddling with her necklace. "Oh sweetheart,  there you are. Im so sorry, please baby, im sorry." She whispered as Charlotte looked up at her girlfriend. "I know you know that it hurts like hell, but i couldn't stand there and let you hit Aut. She feels bad, you know, and she is sorry." Charlotte spoke calmly as she handed Mia the photo album. "I will fix them later, i promise." Charlottes eyes filled with love as she looked at her girlfriend.

"How is Aut? I mean, the mention of her mum will send her over the edge any day of the week, so i think i got let off lightly with just a scolding." Mia whispered. "Please just go and apologise to her. I think when you shouted, it scared her. She's still worried about her baby."

Mia took a deep breath as she approached the office door, her heart pounding in her chest. The memories of the argument with Autumn replayed in her mind, each hurtful word echoing painfully. She pushed the door open, the familiar scent of coffee and paper filling her senses, but it felt different today—charged with tension.

"Autumn," Mia began, her voice shaky yet determined. Autumn looked up from her desk, surprise flickering across her face. "I’m really sorry for what I said. I didn’t mean it. I just… I was just hurt and slightly frustrated, and I took it out on you. I mean, you started it, but still."

Autumn's expression softened as she set down her pen. "I’m sorry too, Mia. I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did. It was tough for both of us." They exchanged a tentative smile, the weight of their words lifting slightly.

After a moment of silence, Autumn suggested, "How about we look through those old photos from our childhood? It might help us remember the good times, i know that's what you had planned." Mia felt a wave of relief wash over her; this was exactly what they needed. Together, they dug through the box of memories, soft laughter slowly replacing the tension as they reminisced about their shared past, the healing process beginning anew.

Charlotte and Marjorie decided it was best to keep out of their way and give them the time they desperately needed.
