Tears stream down both Charlotte's cheeks as she curls herself into a tight ball on her bed. She has her thick green blanket pulled up to her chin and her back facing the door. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she didn't hear her eldest daughter calling her.

The little girls jaw dropped when she noticed how her mummy was crying. She stood there watching as her mothers  shoulders shook with each sob. "Mummy?" She questioned anxiously as she made her way closer to her bed. "Get out." Charlotte snapped without even thinking, causing her daughter to jump before racing out of the room.

Raven made her way downstairs and into the kitchen, to where Charlotte had left her phone before picking it up and dialling a number. She did her best to fight back tears as she spoke on the phone. "She's crying a lot, but i spoke to her, and she yelled at me to get out." She mumbled nervously before taking a shaky breath. "No, Alyssa is asleep at nanas, so she has no idea. I didn't mean to run away from her when she was crying, but she told me to get out, so i did." By this point, Raven had let the tears she was holding back roll down her cheeks. "I want to give her a hug, but i can't."

It was long before there was a light knock on the door. Raven moved quickly, looking out the window to see Autumn's red jaguar parked on the driveway. The young girl opened the door quietly, letting Autumn inside. "It's okay, my sweet. Would you like a hug before i go and speak to your mummy?" Autumn asked softly as she moved towards Raven. She nodded quickly, falling into Autumn's embrace. "It's okay. It will all be okay." She hushed. It was known by everyone that Autumn despised physical contact, but when it came to her chosen family and the children that all melted away. "My sweet, i need you to stay down here when i speak to mummy, okay? i dont know how she will be, so we might be a bit loud, but it will be okay. You are still so loved and so safe, i promise, " Autumn whispered quietly. "I know Mia is away for two nights, but she's due back tomorrow, but she wouldn't act like this because of that."  Raven mumbled as if she was trying to figure it out herself. Autumn wiped the young girls tears before moving away from the hug and planting a kiss on the top of her head. "Go and watch tv, and i will figure it out."

Autumn made her way upstairs to Charlotte's bedroom before knocking gently on the door. "Charlotte." Autumn whispered simply as she shut the door behind herself, making her way towards her friend. "Raven called me. cried because her mum yelled at her." Autumn told her calmly. "She also said that you were crying when she walked in, but it's clear to see nothing has changed." Autumn continued before sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked quietly.

Charlotte felt the bed move next to her before rolling over slightly to look at Autumn. Her eyes were red and swollen from the tears, and her breaths came quick and shallow. "C-can you hug me?" She sniffled while slowly sitting up, keeping the blanket around her shoulders. Autumn didn't say anything. She just moved closer to Charlotte, opening her arms. "I can't believe i yelled at her.  She must have felt so alone. She must have called you because you always tell my girls that you would be there for them whenever. I yelled, Autumn. She 10." Charlotte rambled while falling against Autumn's shoulder.

"You were hurting and trying to hide it from her. I get it, I think she does as well, but yelling is not going to help." Autumn told her calmly while running her hand up and down Charlotte's back. "She's strong, just like her mother. Rave was trying to figure out why you were sad and wanted to give you a hug. She thought that it was because Mia was away, but we all knew what today was. A year ago today, the divorce papers were finalised, and everything became real." Autumn spoke calmly while Charlotte nodded slightly. "It's just raw. Yes, it works, and we have a system, but still." Charlotte spoke while looking down at her hands.

"Raves probably would rather be with him more than me. I just yell at them. Aut, would you have them?" She questioned quietly just as the bedroom door swung open, revealing Raven. "Do you really just want to get rid of us?" She questioned anxiously, pain plastered across her face. "I never said that! You shouldn't be up here anyway. This is an adult conversation." Charlotte snapped quickly. "Charlotte enough." Autumn scolded as she stepped closer to Raven. "No, Autumn, don't bother. Can you get Daddy to pick me up, please?" She questioned quietly but surprisingly calmly.
