I will always love you pt 2 - AMR & CV

It was a normal day at the nursery with children laughter filling the rooms, parents conversations filtering down the corridor and activities being in full swing. It was whatever normal would look like, well that was until it wasn't and the moment nobody excepted happen.

Charlotte and Winter were in the staffroom together on break thanks to Chloe and Carly covering them both so they could finally leave the room.

In was a full moon so of course the children had been testing for everyone, meaning that Winter and Charlotte had both had a bad morning.

They were in the staffroom alone, Charlotte was busy making her third coffee of the day while winter tried to message Autumn but he couldn't concentrate. Everything was overwhelming. The way his phone looked, the sound of the kettle, Charlotte's humming. He couldn't help but snap. "Charlotte fo you ever just shut up?" He threw at her. The brunette looked over confused, she had no words.

The look from Charlotte sent winter over the edge "I'm not surprised your husband left you and got a divorce.  How long have we got till Mia sees the real you and leaves aswell? We are all stuck with the real you day in day out yet you change up with her." He snapped. Winter didn't mean it, of course he didn't. He was always so calm but the day at the nursery had pushed him to far.

Tears filled Charlotte's eyes as she listened to the words that left her friends mouth quickly followed by thought about her forever person leaving her. She refused to let him see that though, swallowing hard and blinking back tears before speaking. "I'm surprised Autumn hasn't found somebody else and replaced you because honestly you are just too soft. She could do so much better than you... like Marjorie." She didnt mean it and everyone who knew Charlotte, knew that she is the most kind and caring person.

Winter straighted up his posture and went to step foward but just as Winter went to snap back at his friend, Sorscha entered the room. "What on Gods green earth are you guys playing at?" She questioned while looking between the two friends. "You can't ask her that kind of question.  She's the one that will switch up the story the most,  just like she did to her husband!"

Sorscha listened before putting an arm around Charlotte. "Winter stay here and i will be back. Try and calm down. Call Autumn if you have too" She told him before moving out of the room with her friend slowly. "I'm not going to ask but I'm going to take you to the office to see Mia." She spoke calmly while they made their way through the nursery. The Irish woman kept a gentle hand on Charlotte as she could feel her trembling slightly next to her. "Deep breath and then you will be with Mia."

It didn't take long for them to be outside the office. Sorscha knocked on the door before she slowly pushed it open. She looked directly at Mia while keeping a hand on Charlotte’s back. "Um Mia, she needs you." The Irish woman spoke as tears finally began to fall down Charlotte's cheeks. Mia stood up and made her way to her girlfriend. "Oh sweetheart." Mia hushed. "I need to go and find Winter and see what really happened up there but i will fill you in later." Sorscha spoke before leaving the room. "Thank you Sorscha" Mia whispered calmly.

Charlotte held onto Mia tighter as tears rolled down her cheeks.  "Lets get you sat down in here and then we can go from there." She hushed but Charlotte shook her head. "Mia take her home or at least out to the car." Marjorie spoke quietly while watching it all unfold. "Baby you stay right here with Marjorie and i will be back so soon." Mia hushed while guiding her girlfriend towards where Marjorie was sat.

The manager moved slowly and opened her arms as Mia pushed Charlotte towards her. It took a while but soon enough, Mia left the office to go and get her girlfriends belongings. "My love, its okay. Mia will be back." She hushed while keeping her arms around Charlotte, feeling her trembling against her chest.

Once the couple were home, Mia carried her girlfriend up to their bedroom before sitting her on the bed. "I'm going to get us both changed and then we can either curl up in bed or go downstairs and watch a movie." Mia spoke while finding a top for Charlotte to wear. "I-i like that one." She mumbled as she watched Mia pull out an old oversized band tshirts. "It smells like you." Mia smiled, she was ready to make a sarcastic comment but she knew that this wasn't the time so just smiled instead.

Charlotte stayed on Mia's lap, her hands gripping her sweater. "Shh, I've got you sweetheart and I'm not going anywhere. Try and relax." She hushed just as a message popped up on Charlotte’s phone. "He sent me a text." She whispered before swallowing hard and wrapping herself around Mia tighter. "You don't need to look at it yet sweetheart." She whispered softly.

Mia held her girlfriend as she moved slowly and picked up her phone. "I'm going to give Aut a call to see if she can fill me in, but you stay right here." She hushed as tears slowly rolled down Charlotte's cheeks. "Stay." She mumbled nervously to which Mia agreed to way to quickly.

Charlotte curled herself up into Mias chest as she listened intently to what Mia was saying to Autumn. She tried her best to keep calm but she couldn't help the broken sob that left her mouth. "Thanks Aut but i need to go, Char needs me." She spoke calmly before saying goodbye and turning her attention back to Charlotte. "Oh baby girl, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."

It took time but, Mia moved and slowly stood up. "Let me answer the door and i will be back" she hushed but the moment Mia moved away, her girlfriend curled herself into a ball.

By the time Mia walked back in, Charlotte was wrapped up tightly in a blanket. "Food is here. Come on. Lets eat and then we can go to bed." Mia was trying her best with Charlotte but winters comment had hit her deeply, deeper than anyone expected it to.

Soon enough the couple were snuggled up in bed. "He did apologise in his message and i told him i forgive him but it still hurts. He is right, you could leave." She mumbled, her head rested on Mia's chest.

The redhead moved at looked at her girlfriend, making sure to have her attention. "Sweetheart you are stuck with me, im going nowhere." Mia mumbled, she was slowly getting more and more fed up for having Charlotte talking about Winter. "I love you and your girls more than anything. You are stuck with me for life." She hushed while placing gentle kisses on her forehead and her cheeks. A small giggle escaped Charlotte. "I love you so much, my Mimi".

It didn't take long for Charlotte to calm down and fall asleep while curled up against Mia's side, he head on her chest. Mia stayed awake just a little while longer, watching her girlfriend with a soft smile before slowly falling asleep herself.
