"God! The meeting will start in a few minutes, Ms. Medel!"
"Will you please calm down, Carlo?!"
I fixed my hair and make up. Kaunting ayos lang naman. I have to look presentable for our board meeting.
It is already midnight here in New York at ala una naman ng hapon sa Pilipinas.
Well, kami ang kailangang mag adjust dito dahil kami ang nasa malayo.
"Shit! Pakiramdam ko talaga ay nasa impyerno ako tuwing board meeting!"
Natawa ako dahil hindi na napigilan ni Carlo na mag Tagalog dahil sa sobrang tensiyon.
"Kalma, Carlo! Well, I can't blame you for feeling like that... You're not genius like me.."
I smirked at him but he just rolled his eyes. Ni set up na din niya ang laptop at speaker sa table.
Umupo na kami sa swivel chair. Carlo's hands are shaking while logging in on Skype.
"The fuck, Carlo?! Don't act like a scared cat! You're not my assistant for nothing! Mahiya ka naman kay Carla!"
I have to tell him that because he will be the one who will report to the board for me. Ako din ang mapapahiya kapag hindi siya umayos.
He glared at me but he also have that game-face-on look on his face.
Very good! I'm really a genius!
Umayos kami ng upo noong nagsimula na ang video call. And uh-huh! We are complete today.

Naunang mag report si Jay. His proposals are really impressive. Tingin ko ay handa na talaga siyang mag take over sa AF at maginhawa na ding makakapag retiro ang mag-asawang Alejandro.
The three other VPs followed. I can say that AF is doing good this past six months. Mukhang sa akin lang may problema.
Finally, my OIC reported and Carlo butts in to add some details. I am just observing everyone's reaction.
I smirked when I saw Cente shaking his head.
No one spoke after that. Dahil may isa pang magre report. We are just taking down notes for our reactions, insights and questions later.
Vicente stood up. He reported in his usual way and I can see admiration in everyone's eyes. He is so convincing na ang sarap niyang gawing VP for Sales and Marketing instead na sa Expansion and Development siya.
But of course, ako pa din ang genius dito.
Questions and concerns were raised. Mostly are from our Board of Directors. Inuna ang mga tanong sa operations, sales at HR dahil alam kong magiging madugo ang mga concerns sa department ko.
It is their investments we are talking about here.
Walang humpay na papuri naman ang narinig ko para kay Cente.
He just gave them a polite smile habang si Carla naman ay ngiting ngiti sa tabi nito.
Napairap ako.
Bakit kasi kailangang kay Cente siya? I prefer Carla as my assistant dahil mas magaling siya kumpara sa kumag kong assistant dito.
"Now for our VP na nasa kabilang sulok pa ng mundo, what the heck happened?"
