Mikhail's POV
I woke up and felt that Tomboy is no longer here in our bed.
Napabalikwas ako ng bangon. Shit! It's already 9AM!
Magmula noong pangyayari sa bahay nila Jerwin ay naging malambing na sa akin ang asawa ko. I appreciate it more dahil kahit naduduwal pa din siya sa amoy ko ay niyayakap at hinahalikan niya pa din ako.
Our lovemaking even became more passionate but we are very careful because of our baby. Now, her tummy is bulging because it is six months already.
Niligpit ko ang higaan namin pero natigilan ako nung nakaamoy ako ng parang nasusunog. Shit! Si Tomboy!
I left our bedroom and hurried to our kitchen where the burning scent is coming from. Nagising lalo ang diwa ko noong nakita si Tomboy na nasa harap ng kalan. Kumakanta pa siya habang nagluluto.
Nagluluto? Am I dreaming?! Si Tomboy, nagluluto?!
AND OUR HOUSE IS NOT YET BURNING AND WE ARE STILL ALIVE?!
"Oh, gising ka na pala Dadeh! Tara dito at kakain na!"
Inihain niya sa lamesa ang kanin at ang sunog na menudo. Yun yata ang naaamoy ko kanina.
"Ah! Your morning kiss pala, Cente!"
She cupped my face and gave me a lingering kiss. Shit! Pwede bang siya na lang ang breakfast ko? But she cooked for me and this is the first time she ever did that so we have to eat.
Kahit medyo mabigat na siya ay kinandong ko pa din siya. Tuwang tuwa naman ang asawa ko.
"Say aaahhh Dadeh Cente! Naku masarap yan!"
I opened my mouth and did my best to give her a smile even though I want to spit out the food. The rice is okay but the menudo? No comment!
"Hmmm ang sarap nga, Mameh! Oh kayo naman ni Baby!"
Kahit ayaw kong ipakain sa kanya ang niluto niya ay napilitan pa din akong subuan siya. I don't know why pero nasarapan siya kaya halos siya din ang umubos niyon. I just wish that she will not have stomachache later.
I fixed the table and dish-washed. Maya maya pa ay narinig ko ang tawag ni Tomboy.
"CENTE!"
Nagmamadali ko siyang pinuntahan sa library. I don't know but the more that her tummy bulges, the more I think that she's becoming more fragile. We had a check up yesterday with her OB and even though she assured me that my wife and our baby are both healthy, I can't still help but to feel worried.
"What's wrong, Tomboy?"
Nadatnan ko siyang nakatayo sa tapat ng bookshelf.
"Pakikuha nga yung libro sa pinakababa! Hindi na ako makayuko eh!"
Nakangiti pa niyang hinimas ang tiyan niya na parang kinakausap ang baby namin. She wants to know the baby's gender kapag lumabas na ito so I have no choice but to wait for her delivery.
I sighed at sinunod siya. Akala ko ay kung ano na ang nangyari!
"Thanks, Cente!"
She smiled at me tapos ay umupo na siya sa couch and started to read the book. Tinabihan ko siya and I just found myself watching her face and how its reaction changes as she continues to read. Namalayan ko na lang na nakatingin na din pala siya sa akin with the grin plastered on her face.
That grin of hers that makes me fall for her even more each day. Damn!
"In love na in love ka na naman diyan ha, Dadeh?! Tskstsk!"
