Great. New students. That does mean new opponents upon which to hone my skills. I must've dueled every single student in this school and beaten every one of them. I am the most well known student. Perfect grades, unbeaten duellist and I possess some very rare cards. My father, an expert duellist handed his best card down to me. It has not left my deck and has never let me down. I am sat on one of the beams spanning over the large auditorium watching each and every duel unfurl below. Some seem quite talented, this Bastion seems to know a thing or two and that little kid, I didn't catch his name, Syrus I believe, he could be one to watch. I stood up on the beam, about to climb down as one last duellist arrived. Short, brown hair, brown eyes, he looks confident too. His eyes shine, duelling is his life, his passion. I sit and watch as he duels and defeats Dr Crowler. Not hard, I have done it before but none the less impressive. Silently I climbed down and out of the auditorium.
I was walking back to my dorm when I heard someone call from behind. "Hey! Wait!!" I turned round to see the younger duellist running towards me. "I uh saw you walk out! I wondered if you could point me in the direction of-" he stopped as he approached me. A stunned look on his face. "- I-I saw a man today, h-he looked exactly like you. I-I mean you're a girl and all that, and a really pretty one but uh.." He turned a light shade of red causing me to giggle slightly. He just sighed and continued to stare at me, both in some form of admiration and to try and place who I am. "Wait a second I saw your picture, on the wall... Top student, highest grades that sorta thing."
"That's me."
"You were pictures with a card. A cool one, The Dark Magician."
"Yes. My father's favourite card."
"Your father?" He was clearly confused and had no idea as to who I was. Top student, Obalisk blue, the daughter of the king of games himself!
"It's (y/n), (y/n) Muto."
"Oh my god! You're his daughter. I am a huge fan!" He grinned a beaming smile. "The names Jaden, Jaden Yuki. I intend to be the next King of games."
"You have confidence. I like that." His blush became deeper. "Come back to my dorm. We'll play a little game." I beckoned with a wink. I lead him back to my dorm, I opened the door and asked my room mates to leave.
"Go easy on the poor boy. I'm sure he's never played games like you do." One of my room mates commented in passing. I shrugged it off and laid out the table top duel mat and pulled out the chair opposite to me.
"Sit. Now. This is like a normal duel. Except every time one of us loses lifepoints the other can ask them anything about them or their life. I like my games interesting." Slowly he made his way over and sat on the chair. "Why so quiet Jaden?"
"You seem so confident. Like you've never been beaten at this type of game."
"I haven't. I just find people duel better when their life secrets are on the line. Just pick a good first question I get tired of never getting past "what's it like being the daughter of the King of games?"" He set down his deck and we prepared to duel.
-time skip-
It's mid duel, I have my Dark Magician on the field and three cards face down. I am on 3400 life points as Jaden had just attacked my Illusion Magician, a lesser spell caster to my Dark Magician. "Tell me. Why do you cover your left eye with your hair?? It must be the same beautiful blue as the right one. Why hide it?"
"You are correct my right eye is blue, like that of my mother Tea [A/N i don't like Tea and Yugi I just needed her eye colour.] but I was born with a rare condition called Hetrochromia. My left eye is a different colour. Some think it is strange so I hide it beneath my hair, something that is alike to my father."
"Woah. Can i see it?"
"Ah. First I need to lose some lifepoints."
-time skip to after duel-
"That magician of yours is truly amazing!! You built your deck around spell caster type monsters."
"I must admit you had me on the ropes with that hero deck of yours. You have true potential. I look forward to a real duel sometime." I said tucking my hair behind my ear, revealing my deep purple eye, again like that of my father.
"Me too.... I don't know how people say that is strange. I find it beautiful. I hope we see each other soon. I'll keep my EYE out for ya." He burst into laughter at his own pun.
"Oh very funny. What lesson you got first?" I asked walking over to the door.
"Duelling history."
"Great. I'll see you in class, bright and early. You better be early, seats around me seem to vanish quickly." I laughed flipping a piece of hair out of my face.
"Sure." He leaned forwards towards me. I stopped him by pushing him back in his chest.
"I never kiss on the first date.... You're cute though, and honest. Hmm. Yeh. I'll give you a shot. You seem more genuine than some." I leaned down and kissed his cheek. That was it, he blushed like a red tomato. "See you in class Jaden." I giggled as I shut the door.
