Ok. So y/n's race looks physically similar to the Naavi from Avatar except they are of human height and without the tail.

Surrounded by droids I can't believe this is the end for me. I'm not going without a fight. I bare my teeth notching an arrow onto my bow and firing it into the head of a droid, watching it collapse to the floor. I keep firing until I'm out of arrows there are only a few left but I have nothing to shoot at them. Out of nowhere the droids drop dead. I look up to see what I can assume is a clone. They were described to me and this individual matches that. He held two weapons, one in either hand. He saved my life.
Behind the lead clone stood many more, one of which seemed to be reading from a strange device.
As he walked over I knelt down, bowing my head to him. He questioned what I was doing but I am forbidden to speak to him.
"Uh, sir. The females of this planet are not permitted to speak to warriors without their consent." The one whom I could assume was like some sort of scholar or scribe, explained to the leader.
"Oh Uh. You may speak." He allowed, removing the helmet he was wearing.
"Sir you also need to-"
"Don't worry Tech." He turned back to me, "I need you to take me to-"
"Our king ordered me to escort you to the capital." I spoke not looking up. "Please." I stood to one side.
"Sir. She wants you to walk ahead of her." The scholar, Tech explained. He must have been taught our customs. As we passed through my route home I collected arrows I had fired into droids on my way out. One of the other clones passed me to speak to the leader and stood in front of him, walking backwards to have his conversation. I acted instinctively, leaping forward, pinning the clone down, teeth bared. "No one walks ahead." I hissed.
"Let him go!" I heard a voice behind me. I turned to see the leader with his weapons drawn, pointed at me. I crawled off the clone and knelt in front of the leader apologising profusely, never looking up at him.
"Sir. She recognises you as a leader, in their custom no one walks ahead of the one in charge." Tech informed.
"Please stand. Please continue leading us to the capital." I stood up and pushed the branches of a nearby tree aside, revealing our village. I opened the door to our kings hut and stepped aside, bowing my head as a few of the clones including Tech and the leader entered.
"You have done well my child," my father, the king, spoke, "you brought them to us in perfect health."
"Thank you father. But it was this man," I gestured to the clone leader, "that kept me alive. Without him I would be dead." My father's face became stoic.
"Then you know what you must do my child." He placed a loving hand on the side of my face. "I will miss you, my daughter."
"What is going on?"
"Captain Rex. I've been trying to tell you this," Tech spoke up as I knelt down next to the clone, "her people are fiercely loyal. You saved her life, she owes you a dept. She serves you now."
"Oh. No. It's my duty to save people, you can call leading us here as payment for your debt." He smiled down at me I just lowered my head further.
"Don't reject her sir. They'll exile her if you do. If they're unwanted by their saviour then how can anyone else want them?"
"She's a princess they can't exile her." The leader, Rex protested.
"The life debt is the same, regardless of birth status or rank." My father explained, "Do you reject her service clone captain?" I could feel all eyes on me.
"No. I will take her with me. May I request she stay here during the battle, out of harm's way?"
"Whatever you command she will do." After a brief discussion on tactics with my father the clones walked into an adjacent tent. I followed closely behind Rex. He ordered Tech to contact the rest of his team and another clone named Fives to ready the rest of his men. He sat on one of the seats in the room, resting his head in his hands, pinching the bridge of his nose. I knelt beside him, my eyes cast to the floor.
"How am I going to get out of this?" He mumbled to himself. He doesn't really accept me, what am I doing wrong? I could ask if he needs something but I haven't been permitted to speak. If I don't ask I can't help him. Perhaps taking one strike will be worth proving myself useful.
"I-is there anything I can do for you Master?" I flinched instinctively, waiting to be struck for speaking out of turn. I dared look up for a second. Instead of looking furious the only thing I could see was disgust. My voice displeases him. I looked back down.
"Never call me that. Ever." His voice wavered, his anger came through.
"Yes ma- Uh. Sir?" I copied his clone subordinates.
"Just Rex. You are no slave of mine. I refuse to own a person."
"Yes Rex, sir." I looked away, "I will leave for the desert lands then. I accept my fate as unworthy of serving you." I bowed my head and stood up walking to the doorway, picking up my bow and handing it to the clone. "My life is yours Rex, sir." I bowed once more and left.
"Wait." I stopped, immediately kneeling again. Perhaps this was a test of my loyalty. "I said I refuse to own a person but I can't allow you to exile yourself. To walk to your death. Fives come here." He called to a nearby clone who was finishing a talk with a group of others.
"What can I do Rex?" He asked with a smile, placing his hand on Rex's shoulder. I bared my teeth and prepared to leap onto the man. "Woah. Not looking for another fight." He raised his hand off Rex's shoulder.
"Fives. Would you say that you serve me?"
"In a way Yeah. Your my CO." He shrugged. Rex turned to me.
"I am also his brother." I looked at him in confusion. "You can serve someone without being their slave. How about you pay your debt by being my friend?" He paused for my response. "That means you can speak whenever you like."
"I've seen offworlders come and take advantage of our customs, placing my brothers and sisters in danger with the aim of saving them to gain a slave. We are all trained what to do if we are ever to owe someone our life. I have never seen someone ask for a friend. Only a slave."
"Allow me to be the first." He said with a smile, offering me his hand. I just looked at it and looked down. "I guess it will take time." He shrugged, turning to Fives, "I've never seen such a ferocious fighter with such a broken spirit." I turned to him again gaining the courage to speak.
"Where do you need me to go Rex, sir?" I questioned and flinched a little when he raised his hand only for him to point at a ship.
"Ask for Kix and tell him Rex sent you. He's Uh. He's a healer and will check out that blaster burn that clanker gave you."
"Yes sir." I bowed my head and did as he asked.
Once the clone army ran the droids from our home Rex took me to a gigantic ship, hanging in space above my home world. I stood behind him as he met another man and a younger girl. I stood as I was always taught I should. Hands clasped neatly in front of me and my head down. The man looked past Rex to me. "Rex. I know that look on a person." Anger laced through his voice "What did you do?!" He grabbed Rex by his armour. My instinct took over once again and I leapt in between the two pushing the man away. The force of being let go caused Rex to collapse to the floor, I climbed over him in a protective stance baring my teeth at the man, drawing a knife from my hip holster.
"Do Not speak to my master in that way! Touch him again and you will die." I hissed. I instantly realised what I'd done.
I climbed off the clone and knelt beside him. "Please. Forgive me Rex, sir. I didn't think. I..." i looked around, holding out my knife in flat palms. "Do as you see fit for my disobedience."
"Rex. That is a slave. Why do you have a slave?"
"General. She owes me a life debt by the customs of her people. I have tried to tell her to be my friend and not my servant but I guess it's so deeply ingrained in her, trained from childhood that she just reverts to this." I sat stock still, offering Rex the knife, my head low.
"Rex. She's not going to move until you do something." I felt the knife being taken from my hands and tensed, fearing what he will do for disobeying him. Nothing. No sharp pain, no strike just the sound of metal being thrown onto the floor. He placed his hands in mine, helping me to my feet. "I've been a slave Rex. I've seen ones like her. Trust will not come lightly." Rex looked somewhat confused. "She does not trust you. She fears what you could do to her, what she has been told you should do. She's blindly loyal through fear."
"I will make sure she's comfortable general. I will complete a full debriefing after." The general nodded and Rex lead me away.
