"You small time villains really think taking me hostage is going to work?!" I shouted, my hands and feet bound together. A small quirk suppressant dart shot into my arm.
"No quirk for a day, you're not gonna do anything about it now." He laughed, pointing his gun at my head. "Your claws have been clipped little cat."
"You best hope the other pro's get here before Hitoshi." I mumbled.
I actually fell asleep, They're waiting for a ransom for my safe return.
I was awoken by the door crashing open. I was pulled up to stand and the gun placed to my temple. "Ha. They sent a kid with our money." The villain laughed.
"My love. Are you okay?" Hitoshi questioned, ignoring the taunts of the villain.
"Been better. Quirk suppressants and a gun to my head so, you know, I've had more fun." I replied sarcastically.
"Shut your mouth!" The villain shouted, hitting me round the head with the butt of the gun. As I fell to the ground I caught the look in Hitoshi's eyes. Rage.
"You want your damn money?" He questioned.
"Well yeh-" he stopped mid sentence, Hitoshi had that little smirk he often got when someone fell for his ploy.
"Now. Do us all a favour and put that gun in your mouth and-"
"Hitoshi!" I drew his attention back to me. "Don't." I begged, "you Don't want his blood on your hands. He may be scum but killing him isn't necessary."
He just sighed, "fine. Just untie the girl." The bindings around me were untied. Hitoshi helped me up as the other villain walked through the door.
"Where do you think you're going?" He questioned.
"You think you're gonna stop us?" Hitoshi asked.
"Of course-"
"Gotcha." He sighed. "They really are stupid." He pulled my arm around his shoulder "now be a good pair of villains and turn yourselves in." The pair walked towards the door, blindly obeying what Hitoshi said.
Once outside I was tended to by medics as Hitoshi reported to the police what had happened.
He helped me home, walking back with me. "I'm fine Hitoshi." I sighed, "So this is what quirklessness feels like." I looked away from him. "I'm just a cat person now. My claws, my hearing, my sense of smell. It's so... human." I shrugged, "my tail is still here thankfully though."
"You're still my little kitty." He smiled, running his fingers through my hair and gently scratching behind my ears. I pushed my head into his hand instinctively. "That's one of the little things I love about you being so cat like." He smiled.
"Yeh. I head bump. It is what we cats do to bond." I followed him home and into our lounge. We both curled up on one sofa and flicked on the TV on the news was my kidnapping. All questioning my competence as a pro, if I can allow myself to be kidnapped how can I be a pro? Could this mark the end of my hero career? How I had to be saved by my rumoured boyfriend. "This Is it. My career is over." I sighed, burying my face in his chest.
"No. Don't worry. It can happen to anyone." He spoke softly, running his fingers through my hair.
"No." I pushed his hand away, getting up, pacing around the lounge. "They're questioning my competence. They could revoke my licence like this. Enough people question my skill and ability to do my job and I'll lose everything." I peered out of the curtain to see reporters and photographers outside. "They're all here." I wanted to cry.
Hitoshi came and wrapped an arm around my waist, placing a kiss on my cheek. As I still held the curtain open a little the camera's went crazy. "You're doing This Now?" I questioned.
"Give them something else to talk about." He mumbled against the skin of my neck. "I find in times like this people would rather focus on good things as opposed to bad." He spun me round, placing his hand against the window, ensuring it stayed open. He gently scratched behind my ears and took my chin in his hand. "Don't Be shy now Kitty." He smirked, leaning down and pressing his lips to mine.
"Hitoshi." I mumbled against his lips, trying to pull his hand down from the window. He obliged, pulling me into his lap on the couch, glancing back to check the curtain fell closed again.
I woke up the next morning to find Hitoshi still sleeping soundly, his scarf still draped over our bed. I pulled myself from his embrace and just put on one of his shirts to cover myself.
I opened the blind in the kitchen only to close it again upon seeing the reporters outside. I sighed, buttoning up Hitoshi's shirt fully. "No time like the present I suppose." I sighed. I opened the curtain and window. "I will take a few questions."
"Are you actually dating Mindjack or is this some publicity stunt?" One asked.
"Of course we're dating. We've been together in secret pretty much since we graduated UA." I smiled.
"Why keep this a secret?"
"We like our privacy. We don't want to be known for our relationship but for our heroism." I stated.
"Will there be an engagement in the future now that you're official?"
I just grinned, "shouldn't you ask that to him?" I laughed slightly, "we're not ready for that yet. We are in the prime of our careers. Maybe in a few years." I heard shuffling in the bedroom, "I'm afraid time's up. Please if you wouldn't mind exiting our property. I'll answer any more questions you have via email or phone interviews." I smiled closing the window. I walked back down the hallway to our room, surprising him with a hug from behind. "Morning Hitoshi." I grinned, wrapping my tail around him too.
"Someone is in a better mood today." He laughed.
"Yeh. Looks like my career is safe for now." I sighed, "and we have a day off for the first time in about a year."
"Then come on back to bed my little kitty. We have a day to fill with whatever we want." He smirked.
