Fictional Character X Reader Oneshots

Shark x Reader Request.

So @yugiohzexal asked me to write a request for Shark from Zexal. I will admit now I have never watched an episode of Zexal. I went as far as 5Ds then stopped as I personally felt it deviated too much from the original show. Anyway. I've watched a bit and done some research. I hope you like it. It will be short though as I'm not overly confident with the character.

Another day another dollar. That's how I have to see this. Working in this damn game shop. Selling cards and pieces of tech to those duellists. I can't go anywhere without someone duelling somewhere. I heard the bell of the door as someone walked in. "Hi. Welcome to the game shop. How can I help." I said with next to no conviction. I looked up to find a young lad in front of me. Relatively long deep purple hair with dark blue eyes, they reminded me of the deep ocean. He walked over to me.
"Hi. I need a new d-pad. You got any in stock." He asked.
"Round the corner, first shelf down." I spoke monotonously.
"Why do I get the feeling yoh don't like working here?"
"This shop has been in my family for generations. Producing some of the greatest duellists in history, until me. Im not overly fond of the game. Well, im not fond of it how it is now. I was brought up learning the game how it was a long long time ago." He stood listening, his eyes shinjng like sapphires. I ducked bellow the till and pulle out an old box. "This has been in the family for as long as I can remember." I opened it, revealing an old fashioned duel disk.
"That thing should be in a museum." He spoke, amazed at the artifact in front of him. "That must be hundreds of years old!"
"Yep. Part of a matching set. They still work."
"So how about this? We have a duel with those relics, and if I win you'll... You'll agree to go on a date with me."
"And if I happen to win? Remember, I have the knowledge of these duel disks, the rules and how to duel like my ancestor."
"Then you can ask anything of me." He smirked. Cocky bastard. "If you win that is." I handed him a duel disk and lead him outside.
"The rules are simple, and we play like there was no pendulum summons, no synchro summons, none of this new modern stuff. Got it." I smiled as we took our possitions. "I thought I would let you know, when duelling in this style my family's willpower can be so strong it can effect fate itself, in turn allowing me to draw the cards I need when I need them. I hope you're ready."

Time skip cos who can be bothered to write out an entire duel haha

"What?! You won?!" He said in disbelief. "With a deck that ancient."
"What? Just because I don't duel the way you do, doesn't mean I cant duel at all. Now, I believe we had an arrangement." I smiled.
"I'm a man of my word, anything you want." He spoke with his head low.
"I actually want two things. First of all." I pulled a card from a box behind the till. "I want you to have this." I handed him the card, "I noticed you use a lot of aquatic monsters, had we been duelling near water the outcome may have been very different."
"The Legendary Fisherman?" He read the card.
"An ancestor of mine won it in a duel. I've never used it, so I thought you should have it, looking at your deck you know." He looked from me to the card and back again.
"And the second?"
"That date sounded like a good idea, therefore neither of us actually lose. You get what you wanted and I get a date." I smiled. "Oh and I never did catch your name."
"Shark." He said I couldn't help but laugh a little. What? A guy who uses an aquatic deck called Shark? That's gotta be a little funny. "Yeh, laugh it up. Water deck, named shark. I've heard it all before. Anyway, I never got your name either. Seems you are at an unfair advantage yet again."
"You didn't think it that unfair when you challenged me." I smiled. "Fine. Y/N"
"Y/N. Shall we be off? Don't we have a date to be on." Oh he's still a cocky bastard but there's something about him. Something I like.
"Yes. I believe we do."

Welllll that's it. As I don't watch Zexal I didn't wanna do a long one because I am literally winging it. Haha. I hope this was ok. I tried to link back to the original series as its easier for me to write like that. I dunno. Hope ya liked it.
