"Come on Iida. A little longer." I smiled, pouting a little.
"We need to study now." He sat at his desk, facing the papers covering it. I wandered over slowly running my hands over his shoulders, massaging them.
"The Test isn't until next week. We have all the time in the world to study." I whispered, placing a kiss behind his ear. He spun around in his swivel chair, pulling me into his lap.
"You. You need more self restraint." He smirked, pulling me closer by my hips.
"Says you." I grinned, leaning forward pressing my chest to his and resting our foreheads together. I pressed my lips to his, slipping my hands up and under his shirt, making sure I touched every inch of his torso. I was just about to pull him up and back towards his bed when the door flew open. We both parted quickly, gasping for breath, looking up to see his mother standing in the doorway. It took a moment for us to register her teary eyes.
"Tenya!" She cried, "it's your brother." I leapt from Tenya's lap and follow him as he went with his mother to the hospital.
Tenya and his mother went inside to see Tensei, I decided to wait outside. This was a family matter. I did however stop a nurse as she exited the room.
"What happened?" I asked.
"The hero killer Stain. He was found in a pool of his own blood, close to death. The surgery may have saved his life but we don't know if he'll ever walk again." She sighed, walking away to continue her work. Through the window I could see Ida's shoulders shaking as he leant over his brother's hospital bed. It was a few hours until He emerged from the room but his entire demeanour had changed. His eyes were set and cold, his shoulders tense, he carried himself differently. I knew exactly what he was thinking. "Don't you dare." I scolded, stopping mid walk on our way back to my place.
"What?" He questioned, not looking back to me but also stopping in his tracks.
"You're thinking you can go after Stain. Tenya Iida, you really want to do that to your mother? To me? You can't take out Stain, his quirk is terrifying. Remember I've been on the receiving end of it." I stated. "My father was killed by Stain. Tensei is at least alive."
"But Ingenium is dead. He'll be lucky to walk again." He spoke through tears.
"You're Ingenium now Iida." I sighed. "Please. Don't go after him. You can't win."
"I have to. For Tensei." He tensed up and walked away. Fine. I take matters into my own hands. I turned on my heels and marched back to the hospital.
"I'm here to see Tensei Iida." I spoke to the girl on reception. She pointed me in the right direction and I walked into the room alone. If there was any test of my quirk, this would be it. Injury transfer. I have accelerated healing and can come back from almost any injury. I can also take injuries from others as I heal faster than them and if I act quickly in battle scenarios I can pass the injury onto my opponent. I wrote a quick note and placed it in an envelope with Tenya's name on it.
I took a deep breath and called a nurse into the room. "Can you call Tenya Iida for me please." I asked.
"Uh. Okay." She smiled.
"I just hope I can come back from this." I smiled weakly, looking at the elder Iida brother, laying unconscious with laboured breathing.
"Miss. What are you talking about?"
"I love you Tenya." I smiled before placing my hand on his brother's cheek. Immediately his injuries began to vanish. I felt myself weakening but I had to stay put until I had him back to normal. I sunk to my knees, keeping my fingertips against his skin to keep the contact.
3rd POV
Tensei woke up to find nurses surrounding a girl unconscious on the floor. He looked around, a nurse on the phone to whom he assumed was the family of the girl. There was also a letter addressed to his brother.
Five minutes later Tenya burst through the door completely ignoring his brother. He pulled the girl into his arms, crying. He placed her hand in his. "Give it to me! Just let me have it!" He cried. Tensei's heart broke watching the way his brother cried. "Let me have your pain!" He cried again.
"Tenya." Tensei announced his presence. "What are you doing?"
"Injury transfer." He cried. "She took your injuries. She heals faster than the rest of us. She thinks she can make it." He pulled her close, "stupid girl." He sobbed, nuzzling his head into the crook of the frail girl's neck.
"Sir Please. We need to move her to a bed." A nurse interrupted, Tensei got out of his bed and removed all the monitors covering his body.
"Use this one. I clearly no longer need it." He shrugged. The nurses placed the girl into the bed and Tensei handed his brother the letter. He opened it and it read.
'Tenya,
I hope you know this was a last resort. When I knew you were going after Stain because Tensei would no longer be Ingenium I had to do something to give you back your brother. There's a chance that these injuries may be too severe even for me. If I don't make it out of this just know that you're the best thing that ever happened to me Tenya Iida and you've always been Ingenium to me.
Forever yours,
Y/N.'
He placed the letter into his pocket and held onto the girl's hand. "You've got this Y/N. Keep focused. You'll make it out."
1st POV.
The nurse told me I was out for two days. The broken bones knitting together in mere hours, internal injuries healing faster than anything they'd ever see. For now I still couldn't feel my toes. Tenya visited me after school and found me awake. He ran over, pulling me instantly into his chest. "Never do this to me ever again!" He cried, "I thought I'd lost you."
"It didn't kill Tensei so I knew I'd live. I just still can't feel my legs." I shrugged, running my hand up my thigh. "Now do me a favour and don't go after Stain. There's no need for revenge now." I smiled.
"Yes. There is." He looked up through his brows. "The one thing worse than my brother being injured because of him. Is you being injured because of him."
"Tenya." I reached for his hand. "I'll heal though. Also, it was my choice to take Tensei's injuries." I sighed, however it didn't work. Tenya simply stood up without a word and left. I sent a text to Midoriya asking that if he were to be in or around Hosu to keep a look out for Tenya.
The next day I had regained some feeling in my legs. Slowly but surely my nerves were healing. I was allowed to leave the hospital by wheelchair. I was pushed out by Tensei and Mrs Iida, Tenya was absent. It is his internship he's probably busy. I didn't hear from Tenya all day. That is until late that night. "Tenya is in Hosu General Hospital." His mother spoke down the phone. "Something about a few UA students and the hero killer that got Tensei."
"Is he okay?" I questioned.
"Not as injured as he could have been. They say the hero Endeavour saved them." She sounded somewhat relieved, "Can you walk yet?"
"Not quite. I'll need a hand if I can come with you."
"Of course. I'll be right round." She said and hung up.
After a stern talking to from his mother it was my turn. I wheeled over to him. "You went looking for him! Don't bother with the lies. I know what the police would have done. Swept this one under the rug so don't bother with the lies to me!" I shouted. "I did THIS," I gestured to my legs "so you didn't try to go after Stain. What hurts more? Your arms or your pride?!"
"My pride." He stated through gritted teeth. "What he said about me. It was right. I was only interested in my selfish desires of vengeance. I ignored Native who could've been dying for all I knew and pursued my will for revenge. What kind of a hero is that?" He cried. Not daring to look at me. I slowly got out of the wheelchair and sat next to him.
"A damn stupid one." I laughed, hitting the back of his head lightly.
"Wait. You.."
"Yeh. Told you I'd be okay. Huh?" I smiled. "Look. This is something to learn from. Think of it as a lesson. Nothing more. You've learnt not to make stupid and rash decisions. Okay."
"Do you want to go home? I'm allowed to leave now all my tests are done. We should also get back to our studying." He smiled.
"Or we could sit up in your room with a good film and just cuddle for now." I suggested, raising an eyebrow.
"That sounds even better." He smiled.
