"Come on. What's everyone at the base like?" I pestered my sister as she drove me to the RED base.
"You'll see." She smiled. "Why you didn't wanna work for the Administrator with me I don't know but you'll get the chance to meet everyone when we get there."
"Miss out on all the action. I think not."
After a while we arrived and were greeted by someone I'd heard a lot about. Scout. "Hey, Miss Pauling. And uh. Who's this?" He smirked looking across at me.
"I'm her sister." I smirked. "Nurse Pauling at your service." I mocked a bow.
"Wait. Nurse? Awh man. Not another Medic!" He groaned. "Go on in." I wandered through the halls until coming across a large white door.
I knocked on the door before entering. "Uh. Medic?" I inquired, looking around the lab from the door until I met the eyes of a man sat at a desk.
"Ja. That's me. Who might you be Fräulein?" He spoke as he rose from his seat and paced towards me.
"Nurse Pauling. I've been stationed at this base from now on."
Time skip.
Training day. I can't lie, as much as I loved being Medic's assistant I adored close combat fighting, no weapons just fighting. It was something I'd always practiced and could take on nearly everyone, besides Heavy, I know when I'm beaten.
We all had to do some form of physical training, had to keep ourselves healthy and fit for battle. I typically trained at a similar time to Medic, mainly because I liked watching him but also so that we were doing similar regimes as we were the same class.
I'd just beaten Scout for the millionth time "Scout. This is getting boring." I spoke down to him as he was picking himself off the floor.
"I'm finding it very amusing." Medic added dabbing his brow with a towel.
"Think you could do better?" Scout challenged.
"I can last longer than you." He smirked. Scout nodded towards me and I beckoned medic forwards.
"Come on then. If you think you're hard enough." I smirked, taking up a fighting stance. He took up a looser stance but was ready. "Ladies first." I gestured for him to attack. He threw a hard punch my way. I quickly blocked, he had power behind him I'll give him that. Our fight lasted a number of minutes until I had him pinned face down with one leg around one of his arms, my other knee in between his shoulder blades and my hands holding his free arm in a lock behind him. "Give in?" I was met with silence. "Do you give in Medic?"
"No." I could almost hear the smirk in his voice. I managed to get him onto his back, one hand holding one of his wrists above his head, the other raised and ready to strike, his other hand pinned down by one of my feet.
"How about now?" He Just smirked. "You put up a good fight." I stood up and offered him a hand, helping the medic back onto his feet. We just stood staring at each other.
"Good fight and all. Uh. Should I be going now?" Scout stood between us. "I swear to god if you two start kissing I'm gonna vomit."
"Tempting." I smirked. "Well..." I smiled stepping back, "I'm gonna grab a shower and head back to the lab. I suggest you do the same doc." I grinned before sauntering off.
"Med. That's you're cue to go with her." I heard Scout sigh before planting his face into his palm. As I opened the door I gestured with my head for medic to come with me. Scout pushed him forwards and he followed me out.

I was sat in the lab, writing up some test notes from earlier while Medic was resting. He always did so much work and needs to rest. Being his nurse I can give him the chance to rest. Once finished I wandered into his room to let him know I'd be back in the morning. "Hey Medic. This afternoon was fun." I smirked, reminiscing. "I'll Uh. I'll be back in the morning." He walked over to me holding onto his shoulder. "You alright?"
"Just pulled something mein Schatz." He shrugged, wincing slightly.
"Was it the fight? Or... after?" I looked down.
"Probably the fight." He laughed.
"Come on. Sit down. Don't want you wining like a child tomorrow."  I laughed, pulling him to sit on his bed. I sat digging my thumbs into his shoulder muscles with the aim of releasing tension. "Just let me know if it hurts." I whispered into his ear.
"Trust me. It's not hurting." He smiled.
"Good." I grinned as I continued. He took ahold of my hands pulling me to sit in front of him.
"You could stay with me tonight?" He shrugged. "I mean, if you want." I just pulled my top off over my head and pulled one of his black tshirts.
"I thought you'd never ask." I smiled.
"Why me?" He asked. He can't be serious.
"You ask me this now?" I laughed, "Medic. We've been sleeping with each other for three months now and only now do you ask why. When I agree to just spend the night here."
"I thought it was just casual to you. The only woman here, I assumed you just needed... you know. I just went along because it meant that i could spend more time with you mein Schatz."
"No. Yeh, I'll admit it was quite fun at the start, but I fell for you. I was just waiting for you to make a move for once." I smiled. "Thank god you did because I couldn't wait much longer."
"This is the part where ya ask her out to dinner!" I heard a muffled voice from the other side of the door.
"Scout. You have five seconds to leave." I called back.
"Ja. Uh. Would you like to go to dinner sometime?" He smiled.
"Sure. Shall we say tomorrow? After the battle." I smiled laying down next to him.
"Ja." He grinned. Well. This job turned out better than I could've ever hoped.
