2 Year's later.
"Dashi! You know you wanna bring up some ice cream!" I shouted downstairs, as he had gone down to get a drink and my cravings kicked in. I'm actually thankful it's ice cream. I hear pregnant women can crave a lot worse things.
We were laying in bed having a duvet and film day which is kinda hard when you have a virtual mountain blocking your view and two little lives inside you that don't want to stay still. As I sat up one of the little ones gave a sharp kick. "Ow. Sit still you. I'm only sitting up." I protested laughing slightly. The next thing I know I have a white blob standing in front of me.
"Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I heard a sound of distress. What seems to be the problem?"
"Hey Baymax. There's nothing wrong. One of the babies kicked and it caught me off guard. Don't worry. I am satisfied with my care." I smiled as the robot waddled back to his little box and deactivated, revealing Tadashi leaning against the doorframe.
"Playing with my robot are we?" He laughed.
"Well. He came to my aid when a baby kicked and I accidentally activated him." I looked across at Tadashi nudging him with my elbow. "Which is more than can be said for my husband." He pulled the ice cream tub from behind his back.
"I guess you don't want this then." He shrugged. "I'm not taking care of you as well as Baymax so, I may as well just eat this myself." He teased taking off the lid of the tub.
"Don't you dare Hamada!" I warned. "Angry pregnant ladies aren't pleasant." He just stood smirking digging the spoon into the frozen dairy delight.
"Whatcha gonna do about it Mrs Hamada? Hmm?" His smirk only grew as he sat on the bed next to me. I jabbed him in the side and snatched the tub off him.
"That. Never withhold ice cream." I smiled sweetly at him as I finally got what I'd been craving. We settled back into the film and I actually shared my ice cream for once in 8 and a half months. Hey. I was feeling generous.
We'd drifted off to sleep but I was suddenly awoken by pain. I couldn't help but cry out. This woke up Tadashi and his walking talking marshmallow.
"Hello. I am Baymax your personal healthcare companion. I heard a sound of distress. What seems to be the problem?" He spoke as he waddled over to me. By this point Tadashi had shot up out of bed and grabbed my hand.
"I'm in freaking labour! Can't you tell?!" I shouted back in evident pain.
"On a scale of one to ten how would you rate your pain?"
"Twelve!" I shouted back, tightening my grip on Tadashi's hand.
"Twelve is not within the given range. On a scale of one to ten. How would you rate your pain?" Baymax asked again.
"Ten! Now call me a god damn ambulance!" This time the chubby robot did as I asked.
Within the hour I was in hospital and finally on the maternity ward. I was there for a further five hours until it was over.
The cries of two newborn lives filled the room. Tadashi knelt beside my bed, stroking my hair gently. "You've done so well." I smiled tiredly, looking over at the crib beside my bed. "Two healthy little boys." Tadashi stated.
"Can I hold them?" I asked the nurse.
"Of course, but not too long, you need to sleep miss." She also pointed to the window to my room. "You also have some visitors. Should I let them in?" I looked to see Hiro and aunt Cass, joined by Baymax.
"Yeh. Let them in." I smiled as she handed me our sons. "Did we ever decide on names?" I shrugged at Tadashi.
"Yeh. You liked Asahi and I liked Rin, So now we can have them both." He smiled as his brother and aunt walked in. Hiro, now seventeen, looked in awe at the children in my arms.
"Awesome! I'm actually an uncle. Uncle Hiro." He looked at his brother. "Hey. This now makes you TaDADshi. Eh." We couldn't help but laugh at the terrible pun. I gazed up at my husband, his strong form, his jawline set, his hair now slightly longer. He was still scarred, but as expected some are fading, like some of them on his chest and back are and even a couple on his forehead and chin. His right eye was still a milky white but his left, dark brown, like chocolate. He wasn't perfect, none of us were, but he was mine and the father of our children.
I yawned slightly as he took one of our sons, Rin, into his arms, carefully handing him to Hiro. He then did the same with Asahi and allowing Cass to hold him. He then came and sat with me. "You sleep Y/N. You've done an amazing job." I leant into him, laying my head on his shoulder.
"I couldn't have done it without you. It takes two to tango you know." I laughed but I couldn't keep my eyes open much longer. I was pulled into a deep and peaceful sleep in the arms of my beloved husband.5 Year's later.
"Mummy. Wake up." Asahi whined shaking me. "Mummy. I don't like it. It's scary."
"Yeah Mummy. The thunder is scary." Rin cried standing next to his brother. I was about to sit up when Tadashi called the boys to his side of the bed.
"Come get in with daddy. Mummy needs her sleep." He whispered and gestures to the cot at the end of the bed. "Shura has been awake all night and mummy just got her to sleep." The twins fell silent, until I felt a light kiss on my cheek, followed shortly by another.
"Sorry mummy." They whispered in unison. I rolled over to face them. There they were. My boys. Both the twins looked so much like their father. Except Asahi, he had heterochromia in one eye, one was dark brown like Rin and Tadashi, the other well that was bright, sky blue, just like me. Shura was more like me, fare haired and light eyed, however her eyes are a light green, not unlike my mother's. it must be a throwback or something.
"You boys are scared of thunder?" I smiled at them. They nodded, their faces buried in their fathers chest. "Do you know why the thunder is so loud?" They shook their heads. "Well. It's because in the sky there is a man and a woman, they love each other very very much, but the woman, her father does not like the man, and he built a wall, to keep the two apart." I spoke, "the thunder is the man hitting the wall as hard as he can. He is trying to get to the woman he loves. Hoping one day he'll break that wall down. This is why thunder is nothing to be scared of, you know what I do when I hear thunder?" The boys shook their heads, even Tadashi. He always did say I could tell a good story. "I cheer him on, when the thunder stops it means he's gotten through. But the father will keep rebuilding the wall, and the man will try again in the next storm. So cheer him on and one day he'll be with his love forever." The twins just smiled. "So are you scared any more?" They shook their heads.
"I hope he breaks that wall. Everyone should be happy." Asahi spoke, he was definitely the softer of the two.
"Yeh. Then he should punch the dad in the face because he kept the girl away from him." Rin added. We all laughed.
"Yes. He should That was a mean thing to do. Are you two going to sleep then?" I asked.
"Yeh. If we can stay with mummy and daddy and cuddle." Asahi stated already nuzzling in to me.
"Okay. Just this once." I agreed as we all fell asleep.2 Year's later.
"Mum." My son Asahi spoke, pulling on my trouser leg to get my attention as I placed Shura in her high chair, setting a yogurt and spoon in front of her. I looked down at my son.
"Yes sweetie."
"People at school are picking on me." He admitted, hanging his head low. "They say that I'm weird, because my eyes are different colours." He looked back up at me. "They also say that my dad is a freak. That he looks ugly."
"Asahi Hamada. For one thing you are not weird. Why did I tell you your eyes were different colours?" I knelt down in front of him to be at eye level.
"You said it was my angel mark. Because I was watched over by an angel."
"Exactly. As for your father. You can tell them why he looks like he does. You remember yeh?"
"Yeh. He tried to rescue someone from a fire."
"Exactly. You are no less than any of the other children there. Remember you can also go to your uncle Hiro if you ever need help too." He nodded, gave me a hug and walked away, before going up to his room.
"Rin is being brought home by daddy, he got into a fight again. He took a punch for me and fought back." With that he disappeared upstairs just in time for Tadashi to walk in with Rin beside him.
"Rin Hamada." I spoke in a harsh tone. "What have we told you about fighting?" He looked up at me.
"They were picking on Asahi. Uncle Hiro said Daddy always stood up for him so I was standing up for my brother."
"Violence is not the answer Rin. Just.. go to your room." I sighed. He trudged upstairs to his room and I sat on the couch rubbing my temples. "No one said raising kids would be easy." Tadashi smiled, leaning against the doorframe.
"He's so much like you that it's scary." I sighed as he sat down beside me, carefully running his fingers through my hair. I could've fallen asleep right then and there but our moment of peace was shattered by the sound of a metal spoon hitting the tile floor in the kitchen. We both got up to find our daughter now covered in yoghurt. "I take it back. That one is definitely all you." I laughed, picking up Shura taking her up to the bathroom.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" He laughed following me.
"I saw the state of this house when I came home after two days visiting GoGo and Honey Lemon." I grinned.
"Yet. You're still here." He laughed.
"Of course. You'd be nothing without me. You're stuck with me I'm afraid."-Jadieelynchx
