It's been a few months since my run in with Kaneki and that dove and I've just started work at Anteiku. I've never made the best coffee going but I'm trying. It's hard not hunting though. I kinda miss it, the feeling of the chase, the fear, I do miss that, but here I'm safe. Safe from doves.
That one dove comes in sometimes, the one I made a deal with. I never expected him to keep his end of this deal. He's either gathering Intel or he is actually interested in what I do as a ghoul in a human world. I was just deep in another book as I heard the smashing of cups downstairs in the coffee shop. I ran down. "Kaneki?! Did you break something again?!" I walked through the door to see all the ghouls behind the counter many with their Kagunes out and ready to fight. On the other side of the counter was a number of doves quinques in hand. "Oh perfect." My eyes reverted back to their red and black state and I released my Ukaku Kagune.

"Watch that one. She has two Kagune."

"Traitor." I spat at the dove.

"No one ever trusts you murderous monsters." He retaliated.

"We had a deal. You forget me and I won't kill your family."

"You can't know where they live."

"No. But I know your scent. I know your taste, I can smell them out." I threw myself forwards, towards him. "I'll kill you!" I pinned his hands to the ground using my Kagune, but I was pushed off by another dove and held up. A young boy walked up to me, a quinque like a scythe. "Hey stitches. We meet again. Think you can kill me this time." I spoke gently wrapping my Kagune around his ankle. "Or are you gonna fall for the same trick?" I pulled my Kagune tight and sent the white haired boy flying across the room. I pulled myself from the grasp of the doves and walked back to Kaneki. "I won't kill them. I'm sorry Kaneki. My instincts took over." He gently took my hand as I retracted my Kagune.

"It's okay. It was a shock to come down to." He stepped forward. "You see we are just a coffee shop. We do not hunt. We eat those who have chosen to take their own life. Just leave us be."

"We will leave but the wild one must die. The black Widdow cannot be left to live. She's too dangerous. An S rated ghoul should not be allowed to roam free."

"Take me in. Stick me in that prison, just leave the coffee shop alone." I said stepping forward. "I'll be okay guys. Let me go. There's no prison that can hold me."

"No you die." The white haired dove spoke pulling himself up to stand using his scythe like quinque. "I'll enjoy this one. She's so wild, erratic. They're the most fun to kill."

"Shut up you psycho!" I spat at him.

"You're one to talk about being psycho." The first dove spoke. "Eating people. People with families."

"You killed my family!! Don't you understand. We were a normal ghoul family. We got by on the carcus' of people murdered by your own kind or scavenging from other ghouls kills. And you killed them all!! That's what turned me wild, that's why I became feral. If we were killed for eating those already dead then it didn't matter if I killed people myself. I'd die at your hands anyway."

"Y/N. Calm down and stay behind us." Touka spoke pulling me back. But before I could go back with them the young inspector hooked me through the shoulder with his quinque pulling me back towards them.

"That's it! Leave her alone!" I heard Kaneki yell before launching himself at the doves. The others; Touka, Nishiki, even the manager followed suit... For me. They're going against the meaning of Anteiku for me. It was a long and bloody fight. And the boy Juuzou. He slipped away.

"They'll be back. We must leave." The manager spoke. "The 15th ward has been very quiet lately."

"No. I will not run. I can't. I'm sick of running." I walked back to my room above the cafe. I sat on the windowsill as Kaneki followed me into my room and stood next to me.

"If you're staying. So am I. Plus. I have Hide here." He placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Looks like it's just you and me from here on out Eyepatch." I smiled.

"You and me Widow."
