Another one for AbellaLove_101  again I hope I've done your idea justice.

My father, Poseidon, has now asked me to find myself a suitor. I believe I've found one. The only problem is... He's human. He is described as the King of Games, which means he'd be allowed to marry me. From what I've seen he wields great power, the ability to command great creatures in a kind of battle against another.
I sat daydreaming of him, this King of games. Perched upon a rock just out of sight of the cove where the humans usually play in and around the water. However I could hear voices approaching. No one ever swims out around this far, they're usually too scared of the sharp rocks. And the current here is dangerous. "Come on Yugi! We'll stop at this rock!" A voice shouted. Damn they're heading right for me. I dove back into the water and down to the reef, hiding among the coral. The water was silent. I knew they'd jump in sooner or later to at least swim back to the beach. Two splashes, they were both back in the water. I turned around to swim around the headland until the left, only to come face to face with a pair of large purple eyes. They backed off. It was him! The King of games. His eyes were wide, was he shocked? Scared? Both. We mer folk have kept our existence secret for centuries so I understand if he was scared. His mouth opened to scream but he remembered he was underwater. I grabbed him by the waist, helping him to the surface to breathe. I held him above water as he coughed and caught his breath. When he did he pushed away from me and clung onto the rock.
"Y-you.. Y-you're a.." He stuttered his eyes scanning me.
"Yes. I know. It may be a lot to take in. Hi." I smiled.
"Hi? You're supposed to be some mythical creature and you say hi?!" He exclaimed.
"Yeh. I know. We aren't allowed to show ourselves to humans. And isn't that how you humans greet one another."
"Yes. It is. I'm sorry, I'm Yugi Muto." He offered a hand to me. This must be some kind of human greeting. Oh. I've seen this before. He did this at the end of that creature battle thing. I took his hand.
"I'm Y/N." We both just studied each other.
"Would you like to come and meet my friends?" He asked smiling.
"O-okay. They won't hurt me will they? I've heard a lot of bad things about humans and how they cut up things they do t understand."
"No. No! My friends aren't like that. They'll love you. Trust me. Especially Joey, Duke and Tristan because, you're very pretty." He blushed lightly.
"Oh. Thank you. You are most handsome too." I said, returning his complement. We both swam to the beach, I pulled myself onto a rock as Yugi brought over his friends.
"Guys. This is Y/N." He spoke, introducing me. I simply waved shyly. As I was told the male friends fawned over me but I cared not for their romantic advances. I only had eyes for the handsome young king. One person I did get on well with was the young girl Serenity.
We all talked all day and as the sun began to set they all had to leave, but Yugi promised he'd come back to see me again. That night I could not sleep. My heart felt a flutter.
In the early morning I was still on cloud nine at the prospect of seeing him again, I rode the waves up the beach, next to the white horses that galloped atop the crests of the waves. In the late morning I leapt from the sea, playing with the young dolphins who also call my cove home. I was completely unaware that I was being watched. I didn't notice until I sensed a change in the water. I looked to the water's edge. Yugi. I rode the next wave in shore to him. "Having fun?" He smiled, wading in until he was waist deep in the water.
"Yeh.. I just feel so happy today."
He looked at me, resting his chin in his hands as his elbows set atop a rock. "Are you allowed to tell me anything else about yourself? I know you're meant to be like a secret."
"Well. I'm Poseidon's daughter, this is my ocean, I am responsible for everything in it and currently that includes you. He has also stated recently that I search for a suitor." I spoke, turning away from him slightly, as I continued braiding pearls into my hair.
"So.. You're not single?" He questioned, I could hear what was almost like sadness in his voice.
"No. I am. I haven't found anyone yet." I paused. "I have to find someone of royalty, as I am the daughter of a God and all." This time he looked away. "But you. You are a King. The King of games." I smiled, taking his hand. "I've watched you battle with the creatures you control. You're amazing."
"I-I'm not.." He started, scratching the back of his neck.
"Not what?" I questioned.
"Uh... Not.. Not like you."
"Oh. That's easy. I can make that happen." I smiled.
"But. My friends..." He sighed.
"I can make it so you can change at will, if that will make you happy." I suggested. He nodded. I swam down to the reef, picked up a piece of soft coral and a blue pearl and sat back on a rock near Yugi. I wove the coral into a bracelet and attached the pearl while mumbling some incantations. I handed the bracelet to him. "This will allow you to live in both worlds. I hope you come back soon." He took my hand and brought the back of it to his lips.
"I will. Until next time."

Two years later.

"He's actually asked me to marry him father!" I spoke into the waterfall at the beach, through which my father can communicate with me. "He can live in both worlds and you will have a son-in-law."
"I care only for your happiness my child. I sense how happy you feel through the ocean. It responds to you and it is full of life. I could not be prouder of you." He spoke, through the flowing water I could see his smile.
"Thank you father." I beamed in response.
"Y/N?" I heard a familiar voice behind me. Yugi. "Who are you speaking to?" He asked curiously. He dove into the water next to me, the enchantment on the bracelet binding his legs together into a strong tail.
"My father." Yugi's face was one of utter shock. He lowered his head.
"It is a true honour."
"So you are the young halfling who thinks he can take my daughters hand?" Yugi shrunk back in fear.
"Father. Please, stop playing around." My father's face softened.
"I see you bring my daughter great happiness. You are the best thing that has ever walked into her life. But do you not think there is something you must confess first?"
"Yugi? What is he talking about?" He looked at me, his amethyst eyes shining, but losing light quickly.
"I-I'm not a King... It's just a title. The battles you saw... They're just a game. I'm just an ordinary guy from Domino city. I'm sorry." He turned back to my father. "Your greatness. You may do whatever you see fit."
"You, you lied to let me think I could marry you." I spoke, crying.
"I did it because I love you. If I'd had said it earlier you wouldn't have let me close to you."
"Young man." My fathers voice spoke. "You may not be royalty by birth, but you have the heart of a true king. You and my daughter are destined." He reached a hand out of the waterfall, placing Yugi's hand in mine. "Royalty or not. You two have my blessing." With that, he was gone.
"I love you and I'm sorry I lied. I was just scared you'd reject me." He spoke, gazing into my eyes.
"It's okay. I love you too. My King." I smiled, as he leant forward slowly. Eventually our lips met. I'd never properly been kissed before and it was amazing. He was amazing.

I dunno what to think haha. I hope you liked it.
