ashton cried at their wedding, so hard, because he couldn't believe how someone so beautiful could be his, wanted to be his, because he had been the lonely geek in high school that was lucky enough to get paired in chemistry with calum hood because the dark haired boy had been late 2 minutes and if he had never been late, ashton may not have been marrying the love of his life in that moment and he cried more that night, when he held him in his arms in the honeymoon suite, while they swayed around the room to ed sheeran and a bunch of instrumental songs that ashton had wrote for him — about him — 'you're really mine..' he buried in calum's neck sniffling and calum smiled 'mhm, always.' and something in that 'always' broke ashton even more because oh god i loves him more than anything and calum giggled when he let out a choked sob, cupping his face and kissing his cheeks before lips, silencing him and calum smiles against him, ashton doing the same before ashton breaks out of his nerdy shell just a little bit more and backs calum up until his knees bend and he falls back on the bed.
