'i-i'm just saying that they could be..overwhelming.'
ashton smiled and shook his head
'if they're as sweet as you i'll be fine.'
sure — they'd been dating for 2 years but ashton has still never met calum's full family — in person, nevertheless — since they were on a different continent, so when ashton is bouncing in the driver's seat because they're ten minutes away calum is more nervous than ashton — because what if ashton doesn't like them or even worse — they don't like ashton, but...
'ASHTON OH MY GOD HELLO!!!'
ashton was practically tackled by a girl that was so similar to calum it was scary, and ashton laughed and hugged her back
'you must be mali koa?'
she nodded and over his shoulder she mouthed to calum
'he smells so good.'
so calum snorted and chuckled, mouthing back
'he's gay.'
so she rolled her eyes and pulled back, smiling at him and patting his shoulder and nodding 'the one and only' she grinned and he giggled, looking back at calum and the day is full of questions and laughter and stories and calum on ashton's lap yawning
'do you guys care if i go to bed, i'm jet lagged.' calum mumbled and his family agreed, but before he could get up to walk to his room ashton picked him up and calum blushed and ashton carried him into his childhood room, smiling at the posters and the navy walls and all he could imagine was a little calum in here and he laid him down,
'you want me to lay with you?'
and with a nod he smiled and laid down, calum curling into his body
'they love you, ya know..'
ashton grinned and kissed the top of his head
'i love them — love you.'
