Chapter 45 - Heart Of Palm

Vincent's POV

"It seems that your plan didn't work out, JeonHa. She's still loving this man and now, it's only a question of time when they find out that you did it with the letters." I complained.

"If you didn't let Heechul show up maybe she's already yours. So don't push the blame on me. I'm still wondering what your goal is, anyways." the King said seriously.

"That's not your business. Just do something so I get her as soon as possible."

"Alright, but don't forget your promise. You get the girl and give me the thing in exchange."

"Don't worry about that."

◇Flashback◇

"The future is something you have to handle with the most care, young man. God always has his reasons to let something happen. I'm not allowed to tell you everything. But I can tell you that the person who's able to cure your disease will reach you anytime soon." the old wise woman told me.

"And when will she show up? What does she look like? Where can I find her?" I asked eagerly.

"Don't be impatient, my Earl. She will appear soon. Just wait until it's the time. She's a very special person who doesn't exist so far. After all, she'll be brought here from far, far away."

"She doesn't exist yet? Where should I go to find her? You say from far away. Don't tell me that she lives on the moon."

"Oh, no no no. Farther than that, farther than you could imagine. But you may travel to the East, the place where you'll experience a great event in life. Maybe you'll meet her there."

There were no doubt that Mooyeon was the one the witch talked about. Even if I wasn't sure whether such things as evil forces really existed or not, I was sure that she was right.

Unfortunately, I couldn't ask her anymore since she was sentenced to the stake... after I reported her myself.

There's nothing that should stop me from owning this woman.

"As for now, I'll make Taehyung lose everything. Then, I bet, the girl wouldn't have any reasons to stay by his side anymore." King Hyeonjong arrogantly said.

Taehyung's POV

After we came to the confidence that both I and Mooyeon tried to send letters during my time in the North I tried my best to make up with her.

I visited her every day using any time I had to cheer her up. She would ignore me but I had the feeling that after 3 days she broke her wall a bit so far.

"Mooyeon! My little Mooyeon! My little and gorgeous Mooyeon. Moo-Moo! You're planning to ignore this handsome guy for the rest of your life?" I kept on annoying her during her walk through the garden.

Seriously, even I found that silly. If it wasn't for Mooyeon no one could ever make me pass on my dignity like that.

"Give it up, Taehyung. I don't want to talk to you." she said, avoiding my gaze.

She finally responded to me!

"Come, Mooyeon!" I grabbed her wrist.

"What do you want?" she jerked off her arm from my hand and glared at me.

Now just by looking at her I could tell that she was trying hard to act as if she didn't want me around her.

"We're having a talk in your room." I grabbed her wrist just to be rejected again.
