Chapter 48 - Blame

Mooyeon's POV

The scene where Taehyung stabbed the man kept replaying in my mind.

I saw all the blood splashing everywhere. It was the same Taehyung as from the day we first met. He had the same eyes as that time.

After the man collapsed to the ground Taehyung shot me a glare.

"Taehyung!" I shouted as I woke up from the nightmare.

"Mooyeon, everything ok?" I heard Vincent asking while rushing to my bed.

"That was scary. Vincent! Tell me that it was a bad nightmare! Huh?" I asked and shook him as if I was pleading.

Vincent hesitated to answer me, what meant that it was all real.

"Mooyeon, don't overthink it. You should rest for now. You've been in shock. The man was sentenced to death anyways. I'm just sorry that you had to witness it with your own eyes." he caressed my back, trying to calm me down.

I couldn't believe that Taehyung just killed his own man. That couldn't be. He's not that cruel.

"I have to talk to him." I said and was about to get up from bed.

"Mooyeon, do you really want to see this killer again?" Vincent pushed me back to my bed. "I'm too worried to let you go back to him. Just understand, I'm afraid that he'll do something to you. He even could kill his own soldier in front of you. I bet there's nothing he isn't capable of."

"My master is right, Mooyeon." I saw Heechul getting in. "I never expected Taehyung to be this kind of person. Even I wouldn't have the heart to kill my own men myself."

No... Taehyung isn't like that. He must have done that for a reason. And I'm going to ask him what that reason is.

"I don't care what you think. I believe in Taehyung." I said and stood up.

"JUST AS THE MAN BELIEVED IN HIM, TOO?" Vincent shouted all of the sudden which shocked me.

"Vincent..." I stuttered.

"I can't believe you, Mooyeon. What do you love about him? He's nothing but a killing machine. He kills people without blinking an eye. He's not worth it for you to be his woman! Don't you understand who's the man who really cares for you?" he glared at me.

This was maybe the first time I saw Vincent without his smile. I didn't know, but this Vincent in front of me scared me even more than Taehyung when he kills people.

Slowly, I took his hands which were holding my shoulders tightly and looked at them.

"Mooyeon, am I allowed to tell you that I developed feelings for you?" he began to cry.

"I know, Vincent, that you've been really nice to me the past months. I'm really thankful for everything you did to me. You would be the perfect boyfriend in my opinion but... I don't have this sort of feelings for you."

"I'm sorry." I whispered and let go of his hands before I left the room.

Heechul's POV

I saw Mooyeon going out of the room and shifted my gaze towards Vincent immediately.

"Should I chase for her?" I asked.

His expression abruptly changed 180° from sadness to evil.

"No. It's no use to force her. That's the job of someone else. She will regret it to have embarassed me like that." he explained glaring.
