Chapter 56 - Wedding

Mooyeon's POV

Days passed and passed and today was finally the day of our wedding.

We invited almost the whole town to our house to witness the ceremony. Gaee was probably the most exited one out of them.

Hyangin wasn't there though. We didn't know where she could have been but she disappeared all of the sudden 3 days ago.

We tried to find her by asking the people but it seemed that no one knew where she was.

It couldn't be helped. Taehyung and I came to the conclusion that she must have a reason to do that. Maybe she wanted to start her own life with someone.

Taehyung and I also decided to arrange wedding as modest and as plain as possible because I wasn't used to all the rules they had here.

Flashback

"TaeTae!" Gaee began and Taehyung instantly cut him off.

"Please, could you stop calling me 'TaeTae'?" he asked annoyed.

Honestly, I found that nickname really cute.

"Then what about 'TaeYang' (Sun), 'TaeGong' (Great-Grandfather), 'TaePyeongYang' (Pacific Ocean), 'TaeSan' (Mount Tai) or even 'ByunTae' (Pervert)?" Gaee suggested.

I giggled because the only one I came up with was 'Taeddy Bear'.

"Keep the old one." Taehyung said a little bit embarrassed.

"I knew you would like 'TaeTae'. So TaeTae, the date of your wedding is planned, you already invited the most important people. But how do you plan to perform it?"Gaee asked.

"You read the letter?!" Taehyung asked in shock.

"Of course I did. I think I forgot to tell you, never give me any letters that I should deliver. I would read all of them instantly. So what do you plan to do with all these tiresome rituals?"

"I don't know yet. Maybe I'll cut out some of them." I saw Taehyung rubbing on his frown.

"Could you explain what rituals you mean? I think I forgot it?" I lied so Gaee wouldn't find out that I'm from the future.

"You don't need to act anymore, my cute little sister. I already guessed that you're not from here. It took me some time to believe it but everything you do isn't normal. So tell me, another world or another time?" he asked confidently.

So he knew it all the time? And I've spent my time with him for about 8 months trying to hide it!

"Time... I'm from the future, after 1000 years." I answered. "Since when do you know that?"

"That's not important. The important question is how you want to prevent the rituals. I'm sure your world doesn't have these." he said.

"What rituals?"

"Some annoying things you have to do do in order to bring luck." Taehyung explained. "Like three days before we have the wedding you have to take a bath every hour and praise to Heaven and Earth. With that you already can forget sleeping. The matchmaker will watch you sleep everynight to ensure the purity of our descendants which makes sleeping even more impossible. You are not allowed to eat anything that's alive, only fruits that just fell from the trees to the ground. You have to copy Buddhistic scripts to fill yourself with Buddha's goodness. Summarized, I can say that you will lose half of your life before the wedding has even started."

My eyes grew wide hearing that.

"Did Princess Hyeonju did all that, too?" I asked, not believing it.
