"Akyat ka na sa rooftop, Starr. Don't cry okay?"

Hinintay ko munang mawala ang kotse ni Brea sa paningin ko bago ako nagpasyang umakyat ng rooftop. It took me quite a while to reach the top because of my high heels. I took a deep breath before I open the door. I remembered our first real kiss here. Posible kayang nandito sya kaya nasabi ni Brea yun?

Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang kabang nararamdaman ko bago pihitin ang door knob. Pagbukas ko pa lang ng pinto, I saw the rooftop full of scented candles lighting the whole place.

"Wow~"

Inilibot ko ang tingin ko sa buong rooftop and I can't believe someone can do all these things for me. Kung ganito siguro kaganda ang setting when we shared our first real kiss together, sobrang saya ko na siguro. Yun nga lang hindi naman ganito yun.

"Happy Birthday to you~"

Agad akong napalingon sa babaeng kumakanta and it took me a moment to see who it was dahil kandila lang ang liwanag sa rooftop. Shen is walking towards me with a cupcake on her hand with a lit candle in the middle.

"Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday my dear Starr. Happy Birthday to you~"

Nakangiti syang lumapit sakin at huminto sa harap ko. Is this really Shen? My best friend whom I missed so much? I can't help but stare at her na para bang if I blink for one second, she might turn back to the snobbish bitch she was for the past month.

"Shen Marie..."

"Yes, Amarie Starr?" hindi pa rin naalis ang ngiti nya habang nakatingin sakin. "Blow your candle, bitch. Oh wait make a wish muna" I stare at her for a while before I closed my eyes and silently make a wish and blew my candle.

"Ang kuripot mo ha? Cupcake lang?"

"Mayaman ka na hindi mo na kailangan ng malaking cake. Isa pa tataba ka lang dun! Haha"

"Palusot.com. Shen, we need to talk a lot of things and--"

"Yes we do and we still have a lot of time but right now kasi may isang taong kanina pa naghihintay sayo"

"But Shen..."

"Okay para matahimik ka na I just want to say na nakapag-isip na ko weeks ago pa and that things go exactly the way it should be. Nag-usap na kami ni Chase and I'm sorry kung ngayon lang kita nakausap. I badly want to but I guess it's just the timing. Inayos ko muna ang buhay ko. Cleared all the mess. Kilala kasi kita at ayoko nang makadagdag sa sakit ng ulo mo. Saka tagal na nating di nag-aaway diba? Ayaw mo nun may spice ang friendship natin?"

"But you don't need to worry about me, Shen. You know I can handle myself pretty well. Ikaw lagi kang nandyan para sakin tapos ako I can't be with you when you need me. I want to be with you gaya ng dati. Even if the situation is bad, we still hold on to each other"

"You're right and I won't do that again, Starr. But seriously, you're right all along and thank you for making me realize everything. Maybe it's the brighter side of what happened. Ibabalita ko na lang sayo one of these days kung anong nangyari okay?"

"Pero sabi mo this morning, things aren't good between you and Doyp"

"Yes. Narinig mo naman diba but he's here somewhere haha. Epal nga eh bigla na lang sumulpot di naman kasali. But don't mind that okay? You don't need to think of anything else except for being happy. That's all you need to think of tonight, Starr. It's been dragged too much"

She smiled at me pero hindi ko parin magets kung anong pinagsasabi nya pero ang importante naman maayos na kami. Kasama ko na sya ulit. My very best friend. I hugged her so tight and I know nabigla sya pero naramdaman ko rin na niyakap nya ko.
