After a few minutes, Lapis still didn't respond, so I decided that if she wasn't gonna come down here, then I'll go up there. I began to climb the shack (with a shit ton of struggling) and got to the top, noticing Lapis scooting closer to the edge. "L-Lapis pant I dunno pant how many of these pant weird getaway shacks you pant have, but...p-please don't shut me out..." I choked out, still catching my breath. I heard Lapis sigh, and she looked away, wrapping her arms protectively around her knees.

I plopped down next to her with my knees up to my chest, and looked over at her. "Lapis..." I muttered, trying to get any sort of response from her. I noticed Lapis slightly trembling as a breeze came on. "I-I'm sorry..." she finally whimpered, still not looking at me. "For what?" I asked, tilting my head. "For running away! For giving you mixed signals! For...just disregarding your feelings in general..." Lapis said. I stayed silent, and listened for more. "It upsets me that you apologize for things that don't even need to be apologized for...don't be sorry for telling me your feelings...it's me...I have...a lot of problems that need working out..." she explained, and she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Problems?" I asked, and this further pushed my curiosity. "I have post traumatic stress disorder and anxiety...I've been abused almost my whole life...I have major possessive issues...I always distance myself from people...I hold grudges...I just...have problems..." the bluenette explained, and her grip around her knees slightly loosened. "Lapis...we all have problems at some point in our life. My parents literally kicked me out of my house 'cause apparently they thought I was a burden...my brother has been hiding dark secrets from me...I've been bullied for most of my life...my girlfriend cheated on me with one of my best friends...but I try not to let those things bother me...'cause life goes on and you find better things..." After that shit happened I found you.

Lapis looked over at me and her pained expression softened. She then looked away quickly. Why does she do that? A slight blush was barely visible on her cheeks in the moonlight. I raised an eyebrow and was about to ask her a question, but she quickly interrupted me. "Well...we better head back..." she said, and she climbed to her feet, dusting herself off. "Oh! Uh...yeah..." I muttered, standing up with her.

We climbed down the shack and walked in silence back to the dorm. Neither of us said another word that night...and I laid in bed staring up at the ceiling, trying to think of another plan, because apparently that one backfired horribly. But I was still pondering over the one question that I never got an answer to: does she feel the same way?
