Squari opened the door, and raised an eyebrow as she spotted me. She looked me up and down with an almost disgusted expression of her face. SMACK. "PERIDOT!!" Lapis shouted, and I shrunk back, immediately pulling my hand away. Squari scoffed loudly, rubbing her cheek softly. "What the fuck?!" she growled, furrowing her eyebrows. "Sorry sorry, she's just a little on edge today." Lapis said through her teeth, side glancing me. I crossed my arms, and looked away stubbornly.
"Ugh, what do you two want?" she asked, removing her hand from her face gently. "We just wanted to know if you had Jasper's dorm info..." I grumbled, still refusing to look at her. "He's your brother, too. Why can't you just ask him?" Squari replied, putting a hand on her hip. "None of your damn business, now do you know the number or not?" I asked harshly, finally looking over at her with a glare. She huffed, closing her eyes for a moment. "Why should I tell you?" she smugly asked, looking me up and down.
I lowly growled, and balled my fists at my sides. "Look, Squari. We're not here to cause any trouble, we just need to visit Jasper for something important, and we need the info from someone else. As soon as we get that information, we'll be on our way." Lapis explained calmly. Squari stared at her for a long moment, and I looked back and forth at them. "213." she deadpanned, crossing her arms. "Thank you!" Lapis breathed, closing her eyes. "Say thanks, Peridot." Lapis whispered to me, and I rolled my eyes. "Yeah... whatever." I grumbled, shoving my hands into my pockets.
Lapis's elbow then jabbed into my ribs, causing me to squeak loudly. "THANKS!" I growled, shutting my eyes tightly. Squari only hummed in response, and slammed the door on our faces. "You can't tell me it was that hard." the bluenette said, turning to me. "That was unexplainably difficult to do." I replied, feeling one foot drag in front of the other as I trudged away from the door. Lapis sighed, and rolled her eyes. "Well it's done with. Now for the hard part..." she said, looking at the ground.
. . . .
"HE CAN'T FIT THROUGH THE DOOR THAT WAY, LAPIS!!!" I whisper-shouted, as we tried to get him through the relatively small door frame. "I'm sorry, I've never dragged a body out of my room before!" she hissed, her arms firmly held under his arms. My arms began to shake as his feet became heavier and heavier by the second. "Okay, well let's go this way..." I said, stepping to the right a little. I was now in the front, my back facing the door. "Now go forward slowly..." I whispered softly, slowly stepping backwards. However, Lapis had went forward too fast, causing Jasper's head to hit the door with a BANG. I gasped and held my breath for a moment, almost positive someone heard that.
Lapis stared at me with wide eyes, her lips pursed. We stood in silence for about 30 seconds, yet nothing happened. No one came to see what the sound was, so I exhaled, then started walking backwards again slowly. "Slower" I mouthed to Lapis, and she nodded quickly. She went a little slower, and I continued stepping back, careful not to trip over my own feet. "Ugh, yeah she's been using those, but I honestly don't think that's realistic," we heard a voice speaking down the hall, and we both gasped in unison.
It turned out to be Aquamarine and her friend Topaz talking, and they were walking this way. "FUCK WHAT DO WE DO?!" Lapis whisper-shouted, her eyes wider than before. "Uhhh uhm uh!" I looked around, trying to come up with any plan. I then yanked on his feet, and Lapis yelped, following my lead in a struggled manner. I used my foot and my left hand to support underneath Jasper's legs and feet, while I used my right hand to swing open the janitor closet door. Lapis quickly caught onto what I was doing, and she pushed Jasper towards the closet, while I pulled.
Once we put him all the way into the small space, I unintentionally dropped him, causing him to fall on top of a bucket of water and a mop. It knocked over and dirty mop water spilled all over him, and splashed onto my legs. I screeched, but immediately clamped a hand over my mouth to silence it. I felt Lapis's fingers wrap around my wrist, and quickly pull me out of the tiny closet. I stumbled over my own feet as I came out of the closet (heh) and slammed the door behind me. My back was leaning against it, and my feet and legs were drenched. Aquamarine and Topaz walked by, side-glancing me.
Aquamarine then fully turned her head, looking at me with a strange look on her face. "Are you two alright?" she asked in her high-pitched British accent. "YUP WE'RE FINE DON'T WORRY ABOUT US WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING HAHA!" I said quickly in a cracky voice. Aquamarine was one of the most popular students here, and her best friend was Topaz, who was a popular football player with my brother Jasper. Topaz has blonde undercut hairdo, and her bulky size towered over us. Despite her large and intimidating size, she was actually a sweetheart from what I've heard. Aquamarine has black short, choppy hair that stops at her chin, and a headband with a little blue bow that she always seemed to wear.
She was only about 5 feet tall, and her clothes always consisted of something you'd only wear at a charter school with a uniform policy. The arrogant girl scanned us for a moment, then made a 'hmph' sound. She continued to sashay down the hall, pulling Topaz along with her. I felt like I could finally breathe again, so I pushed my back off of the door, and turned around to open it. Lapis looked both ways down the hall to make sure no one else was coming at the moment. When I opened the door, Jasper's feet immediately fell out, landing on my shins. "DYOWWW!!!" I yelped, stepping back abruptly.
He laid there remaining unconscious, his feet now sticking out of the doorway. Lapis and I stared at him for a whole minute. "This is gonna take longer than I thought." Lapis muttered.
