Sooooo turns out Pearl ended up having to tell Greg the truth about the van earlier and he surprisingly didn't seem too worried about it. He forgave her right away, and just said he'll spend some money on some proper repairs. I wondered where he got all this money from, but I didn't question it. Lapis and I headed back to our dorm with our bags, and my legs were killing me. We pretty much had to stand out in the hot sun all day, making efforts to fix poor Greg's van.

Once we arrived, Lapis kicked the door open, and we both dropped our bags onto the floor, not bothering to unpack them. "Ugh, it's only 9:36, and I'm exhausted..." Lapis muttered as she sat at her desk, looking down at her phone. "Me tooooo... it was so hot outside." I said, my voice still muffled. "I was gonna study for this upcoming test but...agh I'm so tired." she said, and ran her fingers through her hair. I placed my face fully into the pillow nearest to me and breathed through my nose.

I was dozing in and out of sleep, and hugged the pillow tightly. I had fallen so deep into it that I felt a dream coming on, but that's when I felt an arm gently drape over my body. I assumed it was Lapis's and I was now fully awake again. She ran her fingers over my midsection, and it made me shiver. The bluenette finally rested her hands on my abdomen, and I felt her bury her face into the back of my neck. It was one of the most soothing things I'd ever felt, and I backed up a little into her touch. I felt Lapis's breath tickle the back of my neck.

I closed my eyes once again, feeling a blush creep upon my face. Oh my fucking god Lapis is cuddling me oh my god what I'm so gay this what how did this I how what- I heard a light snore, and I realized Lapis had fallen asleep. My mind wandered to Jasper, and I felt he wasn't justified for the shit he's done to Lapis. I know Lapis told me not to confront him, but there was no way I was gonna let this slide. I'll go in the morning and call him out for it. And if he even dares to lay a hand on Lapis again, he'll have to go through me first.

I myself started to fall asleep, and I placed my hand on the pillow my head was laying on. Before I knew it, I dozed off, having no dream in particular, but more comfortable than ever.

. . . .

I woke up, feeling Lapis's warmth still present on my body. I knew I had to confront my brother without Lapis knowing, so it was now or never. I took her soft hand into mine, and gently lifted it off of my stomach, placing it behind me. I then squirmed a little, trying to move out of her embrace without waking her. I held my breath as Lapis stirred a little, and I pursed my lips. Thankfully, she just grumbled and turned to the other side, therefore removing her face from the back of my neck. I let out a breath of relief, and carefully climbed over her, stepping off of my bed.

I looked down at her one more time, and smiled a bit. Her blue hair was a little ruffled and she was curled into a ball, still lightly snoring. I leaned down ever so slowly, and kissed her forehead. Her fingers curled a bit, but then relaxed again. I then grabbed my phone, slipped on my converse shoes and walked out the door. I made sure to be as quiet as possible when I closed it behind me.

. . . .

I walked all the way across campus to the field where Jasper and his friends normally hang out. I spotted him sitting on the grass with his arms draped over his knees, talking to his friends with a smug smile. I walked up to them, and glared at Jasper. He looked up at me with amber eyes, and raised a thick eyebrow. "Heya Peridot. Long time no chat." he said, leaning back and resting on his hands.

"I have something serious and personal to discuss." I stated, shoving my hands into the pockets of my baggy green sweatshirt. "Oh? Alright. I keep no secrets from my guys." Jasper said, gesturing to all his friends. He patted the spot next to him, and I just raised an eyebrow. "I prefer to stand...and very well then." I replied, adjusting my glasses. "We need to talk about Lapis." Jasper's confident expression dissipated. "Uh, what about her, heh? She's just an ex of mine." he said, laughing it off nervously. "An ex that you abused? You also killed your guys' baby. So I don't know if 'just an ex' is the right term for it." I explained, now crossing my arms.

Jasper's friends looked at him in awe, and he shrunk under their stare. But he took a deep breath, and he seemed to regain his composure. "I dunno what you're talkin' about, Peri. You don't seem too well. Why don't you go back to your dorm and sleep it off, yeah?" Jasper suggested, clapping his hands together. "Don't play dumb, Jasper! You burned her with cigarettes! You hit her! You yelled at her! You threw her down the stairs while she was pregnant?! Are you fucking kidding me?! What kinda boyfriend does that?!" I told him off in an angry tone.

Jasper had an extremely upset look on his face, but he shook it off and stood up. "Listen, Peri. I didn't do any of those things to Lapis, and you can't prove it either. Whatever she's telling you, it's not true and she's delusional." he explained with a smirk. "She has marks, Jasper! You realize how long it's been since you guys broke up and they're still there! Lapis wouldn't lie about something like that!" I argued. Jasper leaned down to my level and looked me in the eyes. "Wouldn't she though? She's crazy, Peridot. Definitely not the ideal roommate, if you ask me." he said. "Jasper, please just tell the truth. Admit what you've done!" I cried, balling my fists at my sides.

"I'm not the one you should be afraid of, Peridot. You better watch your back." Jasper said, his face now turning cold. "Now run along, you prob'ly got some nerdy techy work to get to, right?" he purred, subtly wrapping his large fingers around my wrist. He was gripping it tight, and I shook, never feeling this side of Jasper. The large man released my arm, and jabbed his fingers into my lower back, signaling for me to leave. I flinched and shot him a dirty look, lowly growling. "You disgust me." I said, before running off, not looking back.
