Chancellor White and Aquamarine sat before me, as I sat in a suffocating and silent room. My throat felt dry, and I gave my everything to maintain an emotionless expression, making sure not to give either of them the satisfaction of knowing this was getting to me. The chancellor had a friendly smile on her face, but her eyes said otherwise. They were a piercing gray color, and I knew that hiding behind all those heavy layers of makeup, there was a sinister scowl.

My gaze trailed down to her hands neatly folded on the desk. Her fingers were spookily long, and her polished nails were even longer, not to mention sharper. "Has anyone ever told you to look at someone when they're talking to you?" she then said, and I immediately looked up at her. "But, you weren't...talking to m-" "Shall I leave you to it, Ms. White?" the vice president suddenly chirped. She was nearly as pale as the chancellor, and she had a large bandage over her eye.

"Yes, that will be all. Thank you." the older woman responded, waving the student off. With that, the vice president left the room, and it was silent for a moment once again. Aquamarine's arms were crossed, and she glared at me. A bandage was placed over her nose, and her mouth remained closed. "Alright, Lapis Lazuli. This is an expulsion hearing. I'm going to ask you for your side of the story. If you have any justifications please do not hesitate to explain." Ms. White explained, dragging her terrifying nails across the desktop.

I took a deep breath, and furrowed my eyebrows. "Aquamarine was making threats. I wrongfully retaliated by knocking her over." I stated. "TACKLED. RAMMED. ITH ALL THE THAME ANYWATHS." Aquamarine chimed in a harsh tone. "Now, now, Aquamarine. It is her turn to speak." the chancellor reminded. "I mean, can't you get in trouble for threats?" I asked. "Well, yes. Depending on the threat. What did she threaten you with, Lapis?" she asked. "W-well...I-I uhm...she threatened with a ruler." I quieted my voice. "She threatened you with a ruler?" Ms. White further asked.

Aquamarine pierced through me with her death stare, keeping her arms crossed tightly. "I...u-uhm..." "Speak up, child. No one likes a mumbler." the woman commanded. "...no. Someone...else..." I spoke a bit louder. "So you defended someone else? Who was this?" White asked, and my eyes flickered back and forth. "A dog! A filthy mutt! Thath who Lapith defended!" Aquamarine chimed in again. "A dog? Is this true, Ms. Lazuli?" the chancellor raised an eyebrow. "N-no! W-well...yes..." I stuttered.

"You do know no pets are allowed in this university, correct?" she said in a more firm tone. "Well y-yeah, but Aqua was just as violent as I was! She chased the animal and threatened to beat it with a frickin' ruler!" I argued, raising my voice. "Is there any evidence of Aquamarine actually touching the animal?" I was silent for a moment. I looked down at my lap. "...no. But I have a witness who saw her chase the dog! Two witnesses!" I assured.

"But she did not touch it, did she? Keep in mind that you are also disregarding one of the bigger problems here. There are no animals allowed here. None. And you owned one anyways?" she explained, furrowing her eyebrows. "I-I'm sorry! I wasn't...I didn't think it was a huge issue if she just stayed out of everyone's way. Besides, she's being trained to be a service dog!" I explained. "So, you have her license right now?" she asked. "U-uhmm...not...with me?" I lied. "Oh, I get it. So we should all just make an exception for you then? You can surely have a beloved dog while other students probably long for one just as strongly as you. But no. They cannot have one. Only you." she stated in a sarcastic voice.

"N-no! That's not what I'm saying, I-" "Is there any evidence of Aquamarine putting her hands on you? Harming you in any way?" she cut me off. I slumped in my chair, looking to the side. "No." I replied. "Exactly. That is two offenses. Owning a dog on campus, against the rules. As well as injuring another student! What do you think would be a fitting punishment for you, Lapis?" Ms. White stood up, and I gripped the arms of my chair tighter. "A slap on the wrist." I deadpanned, holding my arm out.

"You may think this is all a joke, Lapis, but we take situations like this very seriously." Ms. White stated sternly. "Apparently that's the punishment Aquamarine gets for threatening to beat an innocent animal." I crossed my arms, looking away stubbornly. "Despite your 'efforts', I'm afraid I do not tolerate this type of behavior." I raised an eyebrow, side glancing the woman. "Lapis Lazuli. I am sorry-" "She'th not actually." Aqua interrupted her.

The chancellor side glanced Aquamarine for a moment, but shook it off. "You will be expelled from Beach City University." she finished. My stomach dropped, and my eyes widened. I turned my full attention to her and stared at her in horror. "WHAT?!" I raised my voice again. "Please keep your voice down." Ms. White ordered. With all of this, she still seemed to have the same radiating smile plastered across her face. "Y-you can't do this! PLEASE give me one more chance!" I begged.

"I'm sorry, but we don't do that here." "HER DOG ALTHO BROUGHT MATH CHAOTH TO EVERYONE ON NEW YEARTH!" Aquamarine added, pointing a finger at me and standing up. I shot Aquamarine a nasty glare, and gritted my teeth. "Pack your things, Miss Lazuli. You have until tomorrow at 9:00 AM."

. . . .

I walked back to the dorm, slowly opening the door staring down at the floor the entire time. I leaned my back against the door, slamming it shut, and it seemed to startle Peridot. She was looked like she had been pacing back and forth in this room for hours. She immediately approached me and placed her hands on my arms firmly. "LAPIS! H-how did it go?!"
