A/N: Sorry a little bit of a short chapter this weekend, but I might just do an extra chapter this week for you guys :)

"I...don't know. I'm sorry I just wanted to spite my mother!" I insisted, facepalming. "Well it worked. But now we HAVE TO GET MARRIED!" Lapis raised her voice. "I KNOW I AM SORRY!" I repeated. "How are we supposed to get married by this week?! We'd be struggling if we had to get married next month!" Lapis claimed. "I don't know! We just have to think of something quick! QUICK QUICK!" I snapped, standing back up.

I whimpered as my head throbbing again. Lapis then approached me, and softly placed her hand on my shoulder. She gently pushed me down, signaling for me to simply sit back down. I slumped down, huffing loudly as I crossed my arms. "We both are only 19 years old, Peridot. I-I'm not ready for marriage..." Lapis muttered timidly. I couldn't help but feel a little sad at that statement. "Or are you.. not ready to marry me?" I asked.

Lapis then turned her head to look over at me, and her cheeks tinted pink. "Th-that's not what I'm saying, Peridot. I'm just saying that it's a very... big... permanent impact on both of our lives." Lazuli explained. I looked down, cursing myself for always taking things so personally."It's not permanent. There is divorce." I murmured. The bluenette stared at me for a long moment in silence."Yes, because I am definitely looking forward to divorcing you, Peridot." she stated in a sarcastic tone.

I sighed and tensed up my shoulders, feeling a bit stupid now. "Peridot...I love you. But I... I don't want a decision as large as this to end up ruining our relationship. Or rushing things." she said in a softer voice. "I know, I know... I acted impulsively, not to mention stupidly." I replied quietly. "Hey. M-maybe we could do a fake wedding, Lapis. Then our parents can't get married. They'll think that we'll just be married. And if we do want the real deal...we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." I explained in a reassuring tone, placing my hand on hers.

She looked sad, and I couldn't help but feel my stomach lurch. "Who would go through all of that trouble to set up a fake wedding for us, Peridot?" she asked, looking up at me. I stared into her blue eyes, and I could see slight pain in them. I had no idea why she seemed so depressed and pained, but I was afraid to ask. "We will find someone. We will find someone to do this, okay? It's gonna be okay." I assured, lifting her hand gently and kissing it softly. She looked down at the floor once again, and sighed through her nose.

"I can't do this."
