⭐ If Only | Loki

"She is gone, Loki."

Loki felt his heart shattered into pieces. He has never felt this kind of pain before. It was so painful that he, the God of Mischief couldn't bear.

"Y/N is dead."

Loki fell on his knees and cried his eyes out. He would never let people see his walls crumbles, but now did not mind that. Thor's comforting words weren't convincing at all. Loki didn't feel any comfort from his brother's presence at the time.

Loki just needed you back.

"She was attacked once she left the palace. Y/N couldn't defend herself, she was helpless."

Loki has heard so many stories fron the people on how you were dying. It was terriying for a mortal like you. He wanted to believe what the others wanted him to believe in, he wasn't guilty.

But it was his fault.

"If only I didn't shut her out, Thor."

Loki's voice cracked, heart was breaking even more if that was possible. Thor put a comforting hand on his brother's back, hoping that he could help.

"If only I didn't ask her to leave.."

Loki cried, now lying on the floor with tears on his face. Thor has never seen Loki so fragile before. It hurt him to know that her death has brought such an agony upon Loki's life.

Days became weeks, and weeks became months. Loki has tried everything to erase the guilt out of his chest but he can't. He was wrong for screaming and yelling at her that day.

His precious Y/N.

"Please don't shut me out, Loki. No matter what, I'm going to be here with you."

Y/N stated softly, putting her warm hand on his cold one. Loki flinched, a disgusted look was clear on his face. It didn't go unnoticed by her but she just shrugged it off.

"I'm here for you, Loki. Always."

She whispered with tears in her eyes. Loki glared at her and caught her wrist harshly. She were hurt, but she stayed still.

"I don't care if you're here or not, you pathetic mortal."

He hissed. She was taken aback and quickly shook her head. He was upset, but he never acted like this before.

"You don't mean it, Loki."

"I meant it, Y/N."

He stated coldly. His eyes were searching for hers but there was rage in them.

"You think you can comfort me in everything that you do?"

Loki walked towards her until her back was pressed against the wall. His eyes showed that he was in anger and she was nowhere to be in his heart.

"You think such a lowly human like you would fit to be by my side?"

He questioned. Tears brimmed in her eyes as she scanned his face to find any regret but there was none. He was being true.

"Loki, I lov-"

"No need to talk about love!"

He screamed at her face. She flinched and a tear rolled down upon her cheek. Loki wasn't like this. He had never yell at her before.

"You're lucky enough that I've brought you here to live in Asgard with me. If I left you back then in Midgard, you would be nothing more than a beggar."

His words were stabbing her heart without any sympathy. More tears ran down her face, showing him that she were desperate for him to stop. But he didn't.

"I would be happy if you go to Heimdall now and ask him to send you home. You do not belong here. Not even in my heart, Y/N."

Everyday Loki hoped that he did not say that to Y/N. Because once he did, she really left.

She ran with tears on her face. She did not even look back at him. He knew she was going straight to Heimdall but he did not stop her.

"They are your enemies, Loki. They want to destroy you and they know everything about you. Including her."

Thor acknowledged his mourning brother. He didn't know that the information was only making Loki more upset with himself.

Realizing what he had done, Thor has never spoke about Y/N ever again. Loki locked himself in his chambers and never went out.

"I should've never said those things to her.."

Loki cursed himself for being a foll to let her go. He knew that Y/N was just a gentle human, how could he let her go alone to Heimdall? How could he starts a fight with her?

"I'm so sorry, Y/N.."

Loki couldn't take this any longer. The guilt was building in his chest and he was dying to see Y/N. He needed to hear her soothing voice to comfort him. He needed her arms to hold him.

He needed her.

"Loki, come with me."

A gentle whisper got into his ears and he looked up. He saw Y/N standing before him. She was looking as beautiful as ever.

"I'll come with you, Y/N."

Tears welled in his eyes as his voice cracked. He knew it was wrong for hin to do this. But he could never be calm if she wasn't here. He wanted to be with her.

"I'll follow you anywhere."

The last thing that he saw was a sweet smile formed on her lips, before he took his own life and hoped that he will be together with the love of his life.

"If only I didn't run from you, Loki."
