You were eating your breakfast peacefully, a big smile was plastered on your face. You could not help but grinned when your eyes landed on the ring on your finger.

"I know you're happy, Y/N. But it kind of annoyed me that you're smiling so much."

Natasha pointed out, smirking at you. You chewed on your bottom lip to prevent yourself from smiling even more if that was possible.

"She is over the moon, that's for sure."

Bruce said, chuckling softly. You sipped your coffee from your favourite mug and hummed in delight. In your friends' eyes, everything was normal but not when Tony walked into the kitchen and saw you.

A smirk was dancing on his lips when he saw you were holding your mug in your left hand, which was unusual because you were right-handed.

"Morning, Tony!"

You chirped, grinning at your fiancé. Tony planted a kiss on your forehead and the others smiled at both of you. Except for Steve who was frowning.

"You can't keep using your left hand for everything, love."

Tony commented, but he could not help but smiled when you looked up at him with your luminous eyes.

"But it's so pretty now."

You responded, staring at your engagement ring with adoration. Tony chuckled and shook his head, taking a seat next to you.

"Congratulations on your engagement, Lady Y/N. I really wanted to see Tony proposed to you but I had some matters in Asgard."

Thor said, and you nodded with a smile. The team was there when Tony got down on one knee to ask you to be his wife. Thor could not be there though and he really shipped you and Tony!

"It's okay, Thor. I recorded the whole thing and you can watch it."

Clint said, proud that he managed to capture the wonderful moment. Thor beamed at his friend and he nodded violently. Steve cleared his throat and started to talk about the upcoming mission.

"You're ruining the fun, Cap."

Clint muttered, which earned a dead glare from the Super Soldier.

"We're supposed to talk about serious matters right now, Barton."

Clint raised his eyebrows when Steve was acting weird that morning. He was not smiling and he did not even look at you. Perhaps he was hurt when you said yes to Tony.

Steve used to date you, but the whole things crumbled when he could not forget Peggy. He kept comparing you with her and when things got out of control, you had enough. It was over between you and Steve and you ended it on good terms.

"Why are you so upset this morning?"

Natasha asked, slightly curious about Steve's behaviour. Steve sighed and glanced at you, and for a moment you found dejection in his eyes.

"I'm not upset, Nat."

He hissed through his gritted teeth. Natasha rolled her eyes and you knew she was not taking his answer that easy.

"You're clearly upset with something. You don't have to bottle up your feelings and let it out on all of us."

Natasha arched her eyebrow, looking at Steve in his eyes. You looked at Tony with worry in your eyes, hoping that he could calm them down. But as Tony was going to say something, Steve stood up from his chair.
