⭐ Fear | Tony Stark

You let out a sigh as soon as you stepped into the tower, feeling as if your burden was lifted off of your shoulders once you were finally back home from work. You were home, but you wanted your home--- in the arms of your husband.

"Tony?"

Your heart was yearning to see him more than ever now. You found him in his lab, busy working for his new project that you would never understand. A soft smile creeped on your face and you decided to walk over to him.

"Tony, I miss you!"

You said, hugging him from behind. Tony's eyes grew wide as he turned around and smiled softly at you. He planted a kiss on your forehead and chuckled.

"I miss you too, sweetheart."

He whispered, trying to sound as normal as possible but you could sense that something was wrong. You caressed his face lovingly and Tony leaned in to your hand like his life was depended on you.

"Darling, tell me what's wrong."

You could see tears in his eyes and you hated to see him upset. He opened his mouth to say something but then he shook his head. You pulled him to sit on the couch with you, while your hands were holding his.

"Tony, I'm here for you, okay?"

You assured him, kissing his cheek softly. You were flabbergasted when Tony wrapped his strong arms around you and he let tears streamed down his face. You rubbed his back comfortingly, worry was evident in your eyes as you look at your crying husband.

"What if one day you'll leave me, Y/N?"

His voice cracked, he pulled away to look you in the eyes. You were surprised at his question.

"You--- You are my life. I'm afraid of living without you here."

Your husband, your Tony Stark was dejected because he was afraid of losing you. It broke your heart to know that because you would never leave him. And he knew that.

"You know I'll always be here with you, Tony. What makes you think of this?"

"Your brother."

Your breath hitched as your brother was mentioned. You held his hand assuringly, a sad smile was painted on your face.

"Please ignore him, Tony. You know how much he hate---"

"He hates me, Y/N. I know that."

He mumbled, pulling his hand away from you. Your marriage with Tony was held without your family's blessings, especially your brother.

"No, Tony. He hates when people do not listen to him."

You said, and it was true. Your brother wanted you to marry another as you were in love with Tony. Your parents also agreed with your brother and that was why they were absent during your wedding.

"He wanted to meet me today. I thought we were going to be fine so I met him during lunch. I was shocked when he kept saying things like you are going to leave me, if not now, soon."

Tony told you, his eyes were flooded with tears. You chewed on your bottom lip and shook your head.

"Y/N, you know I only have one fear and that is losing you."

"Oh, Tony... I love you so much, do you know that? You're stuck with me, alright? I'm not going anywhere."

You chuckled softly, a tear rolled down upon your cheek. You and him had face so many challenges to be married to each other, and you won't back down now.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I was just.. I was just scared that---"

"I'm scared of losing you too, Tony."

You exclaimed, Tony's heart fluttered at your words. You pulled him to you and he laid his head on your chest, feeling your heartbeat that brought a smile on his face.

You hugged him tightly, kissing his head softly. He wrapped his arms around your waist and shut his eyes as you comforted him.

"Please don't leave me alone, Y/N."

"I will never."
