It had been a few weeks since he left for a very important mission, resulting you being grumpy almost all the time. You missed Steve dearly, and when he got back yesterday you wanted him all for yourself.

Not that he minded it anyway. He loved when you were all over him, his heart fluttered at how much you adored him.

That night, you both decided to have a coffee date. Everything was supposed to be just fine. You and him, in the coffee shop, just like how you both met two years ago.

Steve managed to make you flustered at his sweet words, and you would be happy to be there with your Captain America. It was a wonderful night until your ex boyfriend showed up and spotted you.

Unfortunately, Steve went to the bathroom, leaving you sitting alone there with your coffee. You did not notice your ex boyfriend, but your eyes grew wide when he sat across you, a smirk was dancing on his lips.

"Hello, Y/N. Fancy seeing you here."

His voice was a torture for you. You frowned and looked around for Steve. A gasp escaped your lips when your ex boyfriend tried to grab your hand.

"Don't touch me."

You hissed, pulling away from his grasp. You did not have a good history with him. He cheated on you. You moved on, of course you did, but the emotional wound was still there.

"Y/N, I'm sorry. Let's start over, alright?"

He offered you his best smile but it won't work on you. Not anymore.

"Please, sweetheart. You're the only one for me."

You scrunched your nose, feeling disgusted at the nickname that he used to call you before.

"Don't call me that. I'm not yours, Daryl."

He was getting annoyed when you did not give in. In a full throttle, he grabbed your arm, chuckling bitterly when you tried to pull away from him.

"I've been looking for you, you know. I still love you."

He said, but you did not trust him. Why would he thought you would be stupid enough to let him in your life again? Once a cheater, always a cheater.

"I don't love you. Let me go, you bastard!"

You spat, hatred was dripping from your voice. Daryl thought he could manipulate you? No way in hell.

"I believe you're hurting my girl."

You breathed of relief when you heard your boyfriend's voice. Steve was furious, and you had never seen him that angry before. Daryl let go of your arm, intimidated by Steve's rage in his eyes.

Steve pushed you behind him gently, blocking you from Daryl's view. You smirked and crossed your arms against your chest. Your ex boyfriend would never dare to even look at you now.

"She's my girl. She doesn't love you and you know it. If I see you near her again, I will not hesitate to hurt you. Trust me."

Steve threatened, and you almost laughed at how scared Daryl was. He nodded and scurried away from the coffee shop. Steve turned to look at you and worry flashed through his eyes.

"Did he hurt you, darling? I'm sorry I should've come sooner---"

You pulled him down by his shirt and kissed him like you had never before. Steve was shocked, but he kissed you back with the same passion. It was a rough kiss, but also a loving one.

"Wow, Y/N.. What's gotten into you?"

He chuckled, still breathless from the kiss that you gave. You arched your eyebrow and gave him a smirk.

"You're so protective and I like it."

It was his turn to let a smirk upon his face, and he wrapped his arms around your small frame.

"Well, my girl was in trouble so I had to protect her. I love her."

You kissed his cheek and a big smile was painted on your face.

"I'm your girl?"

You bit your lip, teasing your Super Soldier as his grip around you tightened.

"Yes, you are mine."

You pecked his lips and realised that you had to get out of this coffee shop as soon as possible. Your boyfriend was looking as hot as ever and you were not a patient person.

"I think we should go home now."

You said, more rushed that it was supposed to be. Steve chuckled and nodded, taking your hand in his.

"I think I know what's on your mind."

"Very good."

"Let's go home."

I thought I'm gonna stop ranting about not having a boyfriend after a few days but damn I was wrong

I still have the feeling that I need a boyfriend and I absolutely hate it

I guess I just have to get used to it lmao
