⭐ Imprudent | Peter Quill

You saw them by your very own eyes. He was kissing her like she was his lifeline. He was holding her against the wall like you had never existed in his life.

He acted as if he wasn't yours.

It made you realized that you could never be a part of his life. He would never returned the same loyalty as you would to him. So you decided to leave. But he fought for you.

"Peter, I've had enough of your shits."

You cut him off before he could say anything. You wanted to walk out of the room before he caught your wrist and pulled you towards him.

"Y/N, please listen to me."

He almost begged at you, his wretched heart was screaming for you to stay. You looked at him with teary eyes. This man that you loved so much, kept breaking your heart again and again.

"You were cheating on me, Quill!"

You yelled at him. He let go of your wrist and never seen such an anger came out of you.

"I'm sorry---"

"Stop saying that you're sorry because the fact is you're not!"

You had enough of this. You wanted to just punch him on the face and break his nose or leg and do whatever that could damage him.

But you couldn't.

You just.. Couldn't do that to him.

"I swear to you she was nothing to me. You're my girlfriend, Y/N."

He tried to gain your sympathy by looking right into your eyes. You scoffed and looked away.

"I was your girlfriend."

His eyed widen in fear as he shook his head violently.

"No, Y/N--- We can fix this---"

"You should be thinking of our relationship when you were kissing her!"

You spat before leaving him. Peter stood there, not knowing what to do. He was unsure about what was going to happen next.

But he knew he wanted you back.

You stayed away from him for weeks. You refused to see the man who broke your heart for so many times. You knew if you let him crawl into your life again, you would end up hurting.

But that was what you did.

When Peter came to you with tears in his eyes after months of being apart, you felt your heart gave away and forgave him.

After being a broken-hearted mess for months, you did the most foolish thing in your life.

"I'm sorry, Y/N."

"I forgive you."

You let him pulled you in for a kiss and that was it. You let him walked into your life again, even if you knew you would have to kick him out back again.

But you did what a fool would, you took him back. You ended up being in bed with him after he showed you a few tears. You ended up letting him mend your broken heart even if you knew he would tear it in pieces in no time.

You couldn't help it.

You were a fool in love.

You were in love with him.

At one point, you would let him do anything to you--- as long as he stayed by your side and never let go.

It was imprudent for you to love him and you knew it.
