Scarlett's POV

I sat on sofa and carelessly teared the wrapping paper from the box.Upon looking inside my eyes went wide.

No, this ain't happening!

It was iphone box and contained latest iphone. Black colour.The box also contained a backcover with 'queen' written on it.

Nope. I'm not accepting that. It's just too much. I don't need such fancy phone. A simple mobile phone which has basic programmes like alarm, calculator, reminder, etc will do. I sighed yet i was happy.

I kept phone back in it's box and carefully placed it on it's previous place.

I went back to bedroom to get ready for school. Honestly i was not ready to face Emily yet. I was ready for nothing. It's kinda funny how people keep innovating to hurt me. They always come up with interesting ideas to embarass me. I remember in my eighth grade dylan put glue on my seat in classroom. I sat on it. And when i got up my skirt teared up fron behind. I was so embarassed. Thank god lynn was there.

I was laughing at my life.

I went down to find aunt sitting on sofa staring at her phone.

"Hey." I said.

Her head snapped up and she instantly smiled. "Hey. Did you like your gift?"

"Yes. It's ummm...fancy. But i'm not accepting it. That's way too much. Just give it back and get a simplest phone. I only need phone to make calls. That too once or twice a day." I said.

"Keep it honey. I bought it for you yesterday while returning home. Kids your age demand expensive cars and stuff from their parents. It's just a phone. I'm not taking it back."

"But-"

"No buts. Now take the phone, i already placed your old simcard inside it and my and kate's mobile number, as well as landline." She smiled victoriously.

"You never listen to me. Fine i will take it. But promise something first."

"What promise?" She asked in confusion.

"No more expensive gifts from next time." I stated.

"Okay. Promise. Now shoo." She ushered me outside.

I walked to nearby bustop and waited for bus. While waiting i saved lynn's contact in my new phone and decided to call her once  i reach school. Honestly, I was thrilled to have such an expensive phone.

Bus dropped me on my destination. I quickly called lynn once i started walking towards school gate. I was anxious.

Lynn picked up on third ring.

"Hello stranger." I felt her smirking.

Oh how much i missed my dramatic bestie's voice. My mood just got better.

"Hi my drama queen." I smirked back.

"I thought you really did forget me. Chicago air did rot your memory."

"Not yet. Not in this life. Next life maybe." I said thoughtfully.

"Haha. So what's up? How is everything there is Chicago. I'm already getting bored without you." She said in last part in sadly.

"Everything is fine. Emily faked friendship with me. I don't know for what reason though. Other than that all good. " I told her.

"What. That fake bitch!!!!" She shouted in my ear.
