during  3rd year

 Kanoko skip a grade, her admiration to Seiichi inspired her to study hard to get in his level so in the last year of middle school she was transferred to Seiichi's class

 3rd Year of Middle school 

During Semifinals

Seiichi was at the court while everyone was gone...he was still practicing 

Kanoko saw him so she went in to offer him some snack she baked with his father (murasakibara)

moments later 

they sat down in the middle of the court and eat those cookies 

Seiichi: as expected from uncle Murasakibara's daughter... you have skills

Kanoko: *blushes* thanks

Seiichi look at Kanoko and suddenly he became serious 

he turns away saying "I'm sure gonna miss it... your cooking I mean"

Kanoko: why?

Seiichi: I'm moving ... only me... next year I'll be in Kyoto 

Kanoko: I see...

Seiichi: I plan to continue playing at my dad's previous school... Rakuzan High

Kanoko: you'll definitely make it ...

Seiichi: Kano-chan...

Kanoko: mm?

Seiichi look at Kanoko and said "I love you"

Kanako stunned by those words she was speechless

*phone rings* 

Seiichi look and it was Akane telling him to come home soon 

Seiichi answers " okay "

Seiichi stands up 

and offers his hand to help Kanoko up saying "I'm sorry if I surprised you... *blushes* I guess I just want to tell you before it's too late"

Kanoko all red.... her heartbeat was louder than normal... she couldn't believe it 

Seiichi pats Kanoko's head and said: "I gotta go... "

as soon as Seiichi got out of the gym 

Akane jumps at him saying "Let's go Oniichan"

Kanoko watches as Seiichi go while those words keep replaying in her head

after that Seiichi rejects every confession he had 

and made it clear to everyone that he has someone he likes 

At first, Kanoko was nervous to even get near Seiichi but Seiichi did not treat her differently as before so at some point Kanoko calm down

On his last game in middle school, Seiichi was already scouted by a lot of schools but his mind was fixed to one

Before graduation 

Kanoko and Seiichi  met at the back of the school, where the cherry blossom is at full bloom 

Kanoko gathered all her strength to finally confess her feelings towards Seiichi but she has a hard time getting out the words

Seiichi then got close to her, touches her face, and said "take it slow...look into my eyes and just say it"

Kanoko: i ... love ... you ... *blushes hard* I've always loved you 

Seiichi smile and whispered in Kanoko's ear "me too... I've always been in love with you"

Kanoko tears up, Seiichi hugs her 

moments later... 

Seiichi and Kanoko go and meet up with their family 

before they separate Seiichi says " I'll see you when I come to visit then"

Kanoko shakes her head and smile and takes something from her pocket 

it was a piece of paper, she gives it to Seiichi while saying "I'm going too"

Seiichi: you really exceed my expectation... to think you would do this

Kanoko:*blushes* I don't want to part with you... again...

Seiichi holds her hand and kisses her forehead "Let's go together then"

Kanoko smile

[ present-day ]

After practice, Seiichi got tired and lay on Kanoko's lap

Kanoko still can't believe her first and only love became her boyfriend

Seiichi look up at Kanoko's face 

Seiichi goes and kisses her on the lips 

Kanoko: *blushes *

Seiichi: *touches kanoko's bangs* as always, you look beautiful, I just had to kiss you

Kanoko: *whisper* my heart can't take it ... 

Seiichi closes his eyes and fell asleep holding Kanoko's hand

Tatsuya: took you long enough 

Murasakibara : *offers a big cake* congratulation 

while

Seiichi: My girlfriend... is Kanochan

Tetsuya: I'm so happy for you Seiichi 

Akashi: this can't be happening ... Seiichi  think about it

Tetsuya: calm down Seijuro kun...  just think of this way ... we have a new daughter 

Akashi: a  daughter? that could work

Seiichi: *sigh* dad really do malfunction when it comes to his kids

Tetsuya: *smile* I still love him anyway
